In the evening we called the clinic nearest to the RV park, which we found on Yelp, and what a great bet it was. They squeezed us in for the next morning, for an emergency appointment. They said it would cost $50 for an emergency appointment, but then Dr. Diaz (who fixed the problem in no time), beside being a warm and extremely nice doctor, ended up deciding not to charge us at all, which was so kind of him! But on top of that, we were really impressed with the facility and the staff. We've lived in a number of states and seen quite a few orthodontic clinics, and they're all very good, but this is, frankly, probably the most impressive we've seen, in so many ways; in terms of how nice and cozy the place feels (while big), the size of staff, the excellent service (staff are all very kind), how smooth, efficient and fast it is. There was no compensation or consideration for my time, gas, or inconvenience--despite the issue being entirely avoidable and their responsibility. All I received was a quick "sorry," and I felt completely dismissed. For an orthodontic office, attention to detail and patient care should be a priority. Scheduled for 4pm awesome I work not more then 5 mins away, I got a call from them around 1:30 saying I now needed to be there no later then 3:30 confused I said ok. Left work at 3:10 to make it there. Checked in and 3:19 went thru all usually paperwork. Only to be called back at 4:10pm. After talking to dr and telling my problem, she looked at the tooth in question and said yes this tooth needs to be removed, she then started talking about how I also need a root canal on another tooth, explained to her we can handle that issue once we handle why I am there first. She said she needed a note from my primary doctor first in order to pull the tooth. Now I have never heard of that being done before, and I've had a few teeth pulled. Anyway told her I wouldn't be able to get that till Tuesday, she handed me the form, I go straight to my doctor the next am when they open. I get it signed, I go back to Sage with paper in hand. I hand it over to reception desk. About 10 mins later I get called back, the dr now says that my dr did not fill it out correctly, confused I ask what's missing. She said my CD4 count, as I am HIV positive she needed that. That was NOT one of the questions asked on the sheet, but she wants it and won't do it till she receives it. I was able to send her what I had in my lab reports. Ok cool. We go to pay for the procedure and I am ready to pay what I was quoted the day before, $286.00 I have the quote with me on the paperwork they gave me. The lady then tells me it will cost $346.00. I tell her that is not what you told me less then 24hours ago, she looks stunned and confused and questions me as to what was quoted, I tell her $286.00 I have the paperwork, she looks at the computer and tells me "wow I wonder what changed" anyway I pay what I am told the day before. Go back to wait, only to get called back again telling me they won't be doing the procedure as the dr didn't like what my labs said, confused I say you know what just give me back my money and let me go, she does say I can wait a month or two and come back, and that we can schedule it for then as well as the root canal. I just wanted my money. I got it I left. This place is a scam and waste of time. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!
