I thought it was a motorcycle gear store and then stepping into was able to admire the painted surf boards, female and male apparel, second hand clothing, cool laid-back art...and the super surprise of a bondai shop or garden in the backyard. It's not easy talking to a male associate about women's clothing questions but he must have handled other similar situations as he knew right away what I was speaking about. I have never had one of their associates give me solutions/options when I didn't there would be any. It's a smaller location but Mason took the time to find items that happened to be in the back. It's street parking so it can be tricky during peak hours (such as lunch time today). I'd return just for the service as they went above and beyond today.

i was with my aunt and cousin last week and we stumbled upon this little shop. i thought it seemed…read morecute, we walked in the ac was running and it seemed like a nice place. while the clothes weren't my personal interest, i thought it seemed great for others. my aunt was taking photos of the place, just like 1-4 ish as she loves that type of stuff. when we walked into the room where the cashier was, she saw my aunt take a photo of the hats or something. with an angry voice and demeanor, she asked "are you taking a video?!?", she replied "no" but the cashier continued and said "are- are you sure!?!" and my aunt about to lose her temper calmed down and said "no, i was just taking a couple pictures of the place" and the cashier still seemed a bit annoyed but continued to do her errand or whatever. this quite shocked me and while i understand that perhaps the cashier who i later found out (i believe!) was the owner or co-owner most likely didn't want a video of herself i feel like she could've handled the situation differently. either way i also read the reviews of this place the second we walked out and realized the main problem of the place is its customer service and support. and that's pretty much the foundation of a business. how you treat your customers. have a good day God bless

I tried on a bunch of jackets and pants--shoutout to London at the fitting rooms, who was lovely! I initially left with a total of $381.58. But later, I noticed a couple of discrepancies: the jacket's discount was miscalculated and the pants were mislabeled as XS when they were actually smalls. After some research, I found the items for less on Amazon, so we called Hansens. My fiancé spoke with them, and they were willing to price match. Enter Patty, the awesome manager! Patty was incredibly kind and helpful--she matched the Amazon price and gave me a partial refund right on the existing order. I didn't even have to drive back to Encinitas or hassle with a return. Thanks to Patty Bolton and the team, everything was made right--and I'd absolutely recommend Hansens to anyone! 5 stars
