I just came in for a few games after trading in a couple of old games and the transaction was pretty smooth. I might come back around here since there are a few other games here that caught my eye.

Their selection is super impressive for all these classic games as it seemed like they had hundreds of games for classic systems. Service (3/5): No one really greeted us or were particularly friendly when we walked in. They gave us no issues though. The store's ambiance could be improved though because it seemed like boxes were just strewn in the back and the decorations weren't particularly enticing. Value (3/5): The retro games here are quite expensive! Some of the Gameboy advanced games are $60 and the machines were especially expensive. For example, the SP was almost $200. I guess it kind of makes sense since they aren't manufactured any more and it's in a premium location.

Whole first floor had stuff like apparels, toys, dolls, legos, stationary and many other accessories. On the second floor there were merchandise products for Zelda and couple of other popular games. There was several Nintendo Switch 2 demo gaming stations that let the visitors play different games for 10 minutes. There was Fifa game running a huge giant screen. They also had a display showing all historical versions of Nintendo gaming consoles. Items in the store were pricey as expected. Several staff members were available in both floors assisting customers with products and checkouts.

I have bought two, count them, two PS2s from GameStop. Neither of them work…read more The first one was somehow sold to me despite being region locked for Japan. The second one, one of the controller ports doesn't work. My son figured it out in about 30 seconds. But nobody is spending that time at GameStop to evaluate whether or not these machines are working. Because I am 0 for 2, and probably going to be 0 for 3 unless the stars align. Oh, but there's a Guarantee! Well, what has it gotten me? The most lackluster customer service you can imagine! Offers to replace #2 with whatever comes next! Meanwhile, my son, whose gift this was, has been iced out for about a month while the customer service team (probably the lowest bidder, on the RFP) uses AI to send me meaningless responses. Nobody really stepping up. Nobody thinking that sending somebody two broken machines is at least one too many. I hadn't seen it, but on our way back, we stopped by, and it was like being transported to the 1980s in the best way possible. Digital Press Videogames had something for practically every video game system ever created, from Atari 2600 to ColecoVision cartridges to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One X and PlayStation 5. My kid, who is fascinated with vintage games, picked up a used GameBoy Color and a Pokemon game, while I bought an emulator to play all the classic games I enjoyed as a kid. The prices are more than reasonable, especially for the vintage stuff, and there were deals that were better than any chain store. The staff were helpful and friendly when my kid asked them questions, which I really appreciated. Amazing!
