DO NOT USE!!! I would give no stars if possible! We hired Swift Transportation for a round-trip,…read morewheelchair-accessible ride for my 89-year-old father--who cannot walk--to attend the Marlins game. It was meant to be a very special day, likely his last live baseball game ever, and we spared no expense, spending over $1,000 on tickets to make it memorable and comfortable for him. What we experienced instead was an absolute disaster that nearly ruined the entire day. No one showed up for our 12:30 PM pickup. Despite calling the office to confirm earlier that day, we were left stranded at his assisted living facility. I was on hold for 15 minutes before they hung up, and after that, they stopped answering my calls. By pure luck, I had the number of the afternoon driver (Victor), who called earlier to confirm the 5 PM pickup. I called him, and he was able to get in touch with dispatch--only to tell me no driver had been assigned and they had no solution. We scrambled to find another ride and luckily were able to get a Yellow Cab wheel transport to rush over. We ended up walking into the game in the 3rd inning--missing the start of a day we had planned for weeks and paid dearly for. After the game, the 5 PM ride never came either. Once again, we were stranded--this time outside the stadium in the heat, with my elderly father in his wheelchair, trying to keep him cool and hydrated while I made dozens of unanswered calls for an hour. We reached out to seven different taxi companies, none of which had wheelchair transport available. I finally called Victor again and explained the situation, we were stranded and desperate--thankfully, he pushed through with dispatch, got himself reassigned, and came to get us. He was the only bright spot in an otherwise nightmare of a day. This was not just about poor logistics--it was about putting an elderly, disabled man through unnecessary distress and completely failing to deliver the service we paid for. It turned what should have been a beautiful memory into a day filled with stress, rushing, and worrying for my father's well-being. If you're considering using this company for wheelchair transportation, please think twice--especially if you're dealing with someone vulnerable. We were lucky we had backup options. Not everyone will.

Update: Medical Transportation has been much better since the one incident. :)…read more Is there less than 1 star? My experience with this Medical Transportation service (usually for Senior citizens) could have been much better. On 12/8/15, approximately 5:45pm I called Medical Transportation Services, LLC. and spoke with Carlos and made an appointment for Medical Transportation Services, LLC to pick up my mother for her appointment 12/10/15 at 11:00AM. I also asked Carlos to cancel the appointment on 12/17/15. Usually, we get a confirmation call from the driver the day before. We did not get a confirmation call, so I called Medical Transportation Services, LLC and spoke with Tony around 5:25pm. Tony was unable to locate the transportation reservation in the system, but placed me on a long hold. He listened to the recorded call between Carlos and me on 12/8/15. After confirming that a reservation should have been made to pick up my mom, he apologized for the mistake and indicated Carlos should have made the reservation. He said that the person who could arrange for a transportation pickup in the morning was his supervisor, Aline Perez. Tony told me he would leave her a message to call me in the morning on my cell phone, and she would arrange pickup for my mother. Tony also confirmed he would also be working in the morning. On 12/10/15, the day of the appointment, I did not get a call from Aline in the morning, so I called Medical Transportation Services. I spoke with Hermes and asked if I could spoke with Tony or Aline Perez. He said Tony was not in and Aline was unavailable or in a meeting. After another very long hold, Hermes also listened to the recorded call and apologized for the mistake. I asked to speak with Jerome Mercer, but Hermes did not know him. I asked Hermes for Aline to call me back. I am disappointed with the numerous mistakes made by several employees of Medical Transportation services. At least 4 or 5 things that representatives said were going to be done were not done. Medical Transportation services needs to improved. They should also let people know that the phone calls are being recorded. Several places charge for missed appointments. Luckily, I was able to re-schedule. I believe this company is part of UnitedHealth Group or Preferred Care Partners. Hermes said the head quarters was located at 9100 South Dadeland Boulevard, Miami, Florida 33156. Not only that but when I was on the stretcher ready to be off-loaded I had to wait because the stretcher was broken and they needed the help from 2 Fire Rescue men to help unload me from the ambulance so I had to wait for about 45 minutes before they showed up. I was never so scared in my life. December 2020 I received a bill from American Ambulance also called Falck. I tried to call the company but there was a phone jockey that told me I had to pay the bill. After multiple phone calls and emails I couldn't get anywhere with anyone. I even wrote to the BBB who said Falck didn't respond. In the meantime I received a noticed from Credince Collection Agency who finally gave me the phone # to American Ambulance where I spoke to Kathy who told me I had to pay the bill and would never answer the phone after the first call. Kathy was adamant that I had to pay. I paid the bill. The social worker at the hospital gave me the phone number they used to call for an ambulance. I called the ambulance company dispatch they were called Miami-Dade Ambulance (3 names so far) and they could not give me the corporate information. It was the correct phone # but the company changes names like I change a baby's diaper. Someone recommended I contact the State of Florida Insurance who in turn contacted CMS (Medicare) who got the ball rolling. April 2022 (2 years later) I received a copy of the letter they sent to the ambulance company but it was weird that it was addressed to RG Ambulance Service (4th name of the company in 2 years) telling them they better return my money or they could get fined $2000 and/or go to jail and/or lose the right to bill Medicare for their services. Something doesn't see right - I was in danger being transferred on a broken stretcher - I was changed for the ambulance ride that should have been covered 100% by Medicare - I could not find anybody to speak with locally or in the corporate climate. Something fishy is going on here. CMS finally identified the home base of American Ambulance, Falck (which is all over the USA), Miami-Dade Ambulance, and finally RG Ambulance I found out their address is 2766 NW 62 St, Miami, FL 33147. when I researched it online there were numerous ambulance/transportation/shuttle companies in the same location. This is suspicious to me as I once work in fraud. I recommend you do business with a reputable ambulance company that don't have multiple names, have working equipment, get contact info for the company especially corporate office, that know who to bill properly and offers good customer service. Has anybody else had a problem with an ambulance bill where you could not find out the correct name of the company??? In Florida I had to contact the Department of Insurance to get the ball rolling, it's probably the same thing in other states. I suggest you stay far away from this company especially if they put you in an ambulance on a broken stretcher report it I am going to report the broken stretcher to Florida Agency for Health Care Administration's Division of Health Quality Assurance as I didn't know the stretcher was broken until I arrived at the rehab facility. I really hope the lose their Medicare assignment as something is shady.
