When the gentleman doing the cleaning came he asked me what I wanted and went on to tell me there was a basic steam clean (the price I was quoted) and also shampoo ($100) or deep clean ($129). Rep who made the reservation never mentioned different levels of cleaning. The gentleman who did the cleaning then offered to do whatever cleaning I wanted for "whatever price - even no payment" - because "he wanted me to be happy and give him a good review". He said to send him pictures after it dried and if I wasn't happy, he'd make it right. The chair was upholstered in Sunbrella fabric and while it definitely needed to be cleaned, it has been cleaned before and I am confident the chair was not so badly stained that a professional cleaning shouldn't have made a difference. I told him I didn't expect the stain where your head rests would probably come totally clean but that I did expect the arms to clean. I can say he was very polite and professional - but I can't say the chair ended up clean. It had a cleaning solvent smell but it was still most definitely dirty. Since the chair was wet when he was done and ready to leave, I could not tell how clean the chair was. While I hired them because of the $65 quote, I also wanted to be fair and payed him $120 as I told him to do whatever he felt the chair needed. When it had dried, I could see there was VERY little change. I sent pictures and asked him to make good on his promise that I could pay whatever I thought was fair and to refund my card $55 - more than fair I felt as the chair didn't even look like it had been cleaned. I heard nothing. Next I sent an email asking him to refund my card. That was days ago and I still have not heard from him or anyone at the company. Today i tried to call and could not reach a person or leave a message. Had they responded, I would have been willing to let them try cleaning it again. Now I've just filed a dispute thru my credit card company. So, Master Carpet, you are getting your review-just probably not the one you wanted.

At 9:39am, I received a call with an excuse about a scheduling mix up and was told they would not be able to clean the carpets today. I was offered another appointment for next Tuesday. I declined the offer as I am only in town for the weekend and wanted to have my grandmothers carpets cleaned. Poor communication, poor customer service. I understand mistakes happen, but an attempt to clean the carpets today should've been made.

When I mentioned I wanted it done asap, I expected something for the following week, but she was able to schedule it for the next day. Be sure to mention the Yelp Coupon code because she didn't find it when she looked for current promotions. Chris arrived 1/2 later than scheduled but called in advance. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the product. I love that is uses less water than competitors. The sofa, chair and pillow dried to the touch in 2 hours but it took about 1-2 day for the "scent" to disappear, but as mentioned, I'm more sensitive to it than most people. I can't attest to how well their process works for stains or spots on the furniture because I didn't have any - I only wanted to get rid of the musty smell from not having vacuumed in a while. The carpeted stairs came out much brighter, but still smelly and grimy to the touch, even days later. Keep in mind however, that this carpeted stairway is the main entry to the condo the carpet was very dirty to start. (The only place for dirty/muddy boots and shoes is at the top of the stairs) I'm sure that it had not been cleaned in years. The price was more affordable than other "Green" services and more expensive than the big non-green cleaning chains. My only complaint was that I had to clean up some small spills on the hardwood floor around the sofa and chair. I wiped it up with a towel, but the floor was left a little sticky and had to be mopped. I would definitely recommend them for furniture cleaning. For carpets, give them a try if you clean somewhat regularly or if only carpets are only lightly soiled. If you have very dirty carpets you might want to give someone else a try.
