Athens Lock and Key, or AAA Emergency Lock & Key Service, is beyond brutal. First off, they have terrible office hours (noon to 5 pm), and don't even answer the phone when you call in these few hours. Even when you get a hold of them, it will be weeks, yes weeks, before they call you back with a time they can fulfill your request (I use "fulfill" here loosely). When they finally get around to "fulfilling" your request, they do it poorly. In one instance, they had to be called back to a property 4 times to correctly install only one deadbolt. In another instance, we asked them to master key 4 rental property locks and they couldn't get it correct for 9 months! Yes, 9 months! After 9 months and getting infuriated with poor customer service and even worse quality of work, they told me I could receive my money back if I returned their locks and keys. When I hired another locksmith, who had it done properly within 3 days of my call, and returned the locks and keys, they did not give me my full refund as they promised. Instead, they only refunded the parts fee, and continued to charge their labor fee. I was astonished! Over 9 months to get a simple task fixed, they couldn't do it. Not only that, I had to pay another locksmith more to fix their screw up, and they still had the nerve to charge me for their incompetent labor! I plan to pursue all legal avenues to recoup this money, but I would never recommend anyone, ever, use these crooks. They are incompetent with poor customer service and I would never recommend anyone to them. Use anyone else or try to do it yourself.
