Mccloud Windows - Columbus, Ohio Replacement windows

Mccloud Windows

We worked with McCloud windows to replace 16 windows and our back door (changed from French doors…read moreto a sliding glass door). We had a great experience start to finish. We had original windows from the 90s in our house and we were having a hard time keeping the house insulated, our heating and cooling bills were insane and we basically had heaters or fans running 24/7. Since getting the windows and door replaced, our house has been much easier to heat and we haven't had to keep the heater running. We also didn't realize how much outside noise was getting into the house- but our house is way more quiet now, and multiple people have commented on it. They're really easy to open and close, they have locks we can use to keep the windows open partially and not have to worry about people getting in or our toddler getting out. They also have drainage set up where there isn't a bunch of gunk in the windows all the time. Scheduling was really easy. I'm a nurse so I work untraditional hours sometimes and the whole team worked really well to fit us in. Aidan, our sales associate, helped by fitting in appointments on weekends and texting back and forth to help answer questions as we debated quotes. He was really helpful in figuring out which options we really needed, versus things we could skip, and helped us find some nice discount options. Al, who came to measure the windows, was efficient and even brought treats for our dogs when he came by. He gave us clear instruction for how to clear everything out around the outside of the house for easy installation. We had Brad Sr. and Brad Jr. for our installation team and they were wonderful. They were careful about keeping our gate and doors closed as they worked, because we have animals who would take off otherwise. They were super sweet to our dogs, and talked to our toddler every time she went to see them. They communicated clearly around weather and rescheduling (it was way too cold one day so we had to reschedule, but barely). They were flexible and answered all our questions. One of the dogs messed up some of the caulk, and they fixed it before they left for us. For all the windows and the door, it took maybe a day and a half for installation, and they worked bit by bit to make sure the house didn't get too cold as they worked. They also worked with us to decide where they worked, since we had to work around our toddler's nap. We got quotes from two nationwide companies, as well as from McCloud and chose to go wit McCloud both because they were cheaper for the same product and because they were local and more personable. Would definitely recommend them!

My Journey with McCloud Windows has been amazing, way above my expectations. It started in March…read morewith a phone conversation with Joe. I had sent an online message through their website outlining what I was looking for. I had been through several visits from other companies. I had gotten a whole lot of gimmicks, smoke and mirror special offers, and high pressure 'sign today' sales. I was over it. I asked McCloud if they could give me an honest quote on just the four windows that needed replaced the most. Joe responded and asked a few questions. I sent him pictures and dimensions of what I needed. There were no issues providing a quote and committing to only four windows, when everyone else had 6-7 window minimum. In addition to the minimums, the prices were more with less windows at the other places (discounts for doing all 17). McCloud had the same price for me, no matter how many I ordered. There were also no confusing buy 2 get 2 hard to understand offers. Just upfront competitive pricing. Joe was fantastic on the phone and provided great information and was able to help answer questions based on his past experience. I agreed to have Joe come out and take a look at the windows. We talked through all our options, discussed various ways we could order/replace (Four windows, just the front windows, just the second floor, etc.). All my questions and scenarios were talked through, with zero pressure. He was there discussing and putting up with my questions so long his wife called to check on him! After talking with Joe, researching the company, and understanding the quality and price, we actually decided to move forward with replacing almost all of our windows. The only one we did not replace was a half round. I decided to pass on this one for now because Joe took the time to explain to me that because of its shape it is a bit more expensive. Based on the price, and other factors, I was able to put that one off and will have McCloud replace that in a few years. This was possible because they are willing to do just one window. No one else that I had in for an estimate would have done that. This week our windows were installed. We had the best installation crew in Brad and Brad. My wife said, of all of the contractors/workers that have been in our house, none have been as respectful and courteous as these two. They were professional from the beginning. They explained everything and took great pride in what they were doing. The install looks fantastic. The caulking is nearly immaculate. There was no mess to clean, the drywall needed to be trimmed and there is not a spec of dust to be found. The guys were super efficient and we could not have asked for a better experience. Today Joe came by and completed a final walkthrough to make sure everything went as expected. In addition to making sure we were satisfied, he walked through the lifetime warranty and all other post install details. We could not be more pleased with this process from start to finish! I would recommend McCloud to anyone looking for quality windows at a great price. We did have one issue, the bathroom window was supposed to be opaque, but showed up clear. Things happen. We discussed it with Joe on our walkthrough today and I am sure we will see the correct window soon.

These guys took our money and RAN!!! We expected to pay extra for new decking on our two small…read moreroofs over the porch and storage room. The assured us that wasn't necessary. What they meant was, we need to get done and get paid. Now the bituminous sheets are buckling because the decking wasn't replaced (we would have paid for this!) and water is leaking in again from the childish looking flashing job. Calling BW is infuriating because he kind of laughs at you and says he'll send someone out and, of course, no one ever does. I fixed the flashing along the back roof, and the gutter flashing. The buckling was a challenge, but managed to get it reasonably straightened out, though I'm sure the life of the roof is compromised. I recommend that you do not choose BW Roofing. It's not worth the aggravation.

This company was hired to repair a roof leak on a house we purchased. Unfortunately the sellers…read morechose the company. BW did not fix the leak properly the first time, and we had a pretty serious leak during the first substantial rain after the initial repair. When we called to utilize the 3-year warranty stated on the invoice, they argued with my husband that it was a burst pipe despite the fact that we were able to trace the leak back to said chimney. They finally agreed to come out and look at it but refused to give any better timeline than "Monday before 4pm" and tried to convince my husband that he didn't need to be home when they came out. All they did was sloppily throw white caulking over our dark flashing. It's still leaking, and now it looks terrible. Called again and they refuse to do anything about it. They are now saying they never worked on the chimney, and that we'd have to pay $350 more to have them repair it. Would never use this company again or recommend to anyone ever.
