I went for a cleaning and was very anxious. The hygienist kept talking, and I told her I was not able to talk at the time. She did the cleaning, then told the dentist I was "Not a right fit", and they told me over text message I would have to find another. I apologized for having a panic attack (I was literally fighting tears during the procedure) and they refused to respond. I can't say what went wrong exactly-I was probably a bit short, but also was trying not to calm down. I had previously told them I wanted to have headphones on during the appointment and the hygienist didn't seem to be happy with that. I'm not sure if they were uncomfortable having someone of a different race, but they seemed to ascribe me to a stereotype rather than ask why I was upset or panicking.

From when I walked in everyone greeted me with smiling faces and made me feel welcomed. They walked me through the services and provided an explanation of what was going on with my teeth. Typically this is when they would sell me on doing it then and there, but instead they gave me time to think and did not make me feel bad about not doing the services the same day.
