I have found no deals on any golf clubs here in the last 6 yrs. If I find a club I need to fill a broken set, it is always priced too high (they are higher than any other Play It Again Sports (PIAS) by 20-500% for exact match club brands) and they are unwilling to negotiate a lower price except by less than 5%. By comparison to other Play It Again Sports - Shaumburg, Crystal, I was able to purchase the 2 needed clubs at 25% and 16% of the "negotiated" price of an identical club at the Waukegan Ave PIAS store. I do not recommend this store for any golf items. I will never again go to this store for any reason. It is not worth the trip (25 mi.) to waste my time. DB

I love that they make custom orthotics like the ones you get at the orthopedic drs office. But the price is way cheaper especially if you have the road runner VIP membership. Alex was the person that helped me with my orthotic shoe inserts which to be quite honest an easy breezy technique. First you chose the type of insoles you wanted depending on arch and cushion support then Alex slipped the pair into a machine to heat them up for 3 minutes then the insoles were transferred to a machine where you had to step on top of them for a minute with your weight! The results were your new custom impressions on your insoles!!! Stop in and have yours made for any shoe. Your joints will thank you!!

One salesman spent time with a young girl and sat with her for a while while we were handed boxes. The service was awful, and I noticed two people left because they had no assistance. We have purchased from here numerous times and would have left if I didn't have my cash points. We will no longer shop at this store. Service is now here--try it on and put the shoes you don't want nicely back in the box. Add but pay $$. You really need to bring your customer service back.

My older son likes a variety of sports teams and I've found it all here to support local teams as well as those in Texas and Florida. My youngest is for some unknown reason Ohio State's biggest fan and there's plenty of Ohio State love here, although he was bummed there wasn't a kids jersey or lanyard on our visit last weekend. He did get excited about a new Ohio State t-shirt (probably his 40th one) and a pack of college football cards. They do have a great selection of cards too. I find that they don't go out of their way to help you here, but if you ask questions on where things are they are helpful.

This is one of the smaller Dick's (pun not intended duh) as it is atypically housed in a 1 story…read morestrip mall building.  The store is still deceptively huge and I learned it's still sizable at about 60,000 ft2 (a dimension which I can't really relate to anyway).  They still seemed to have everything you might expect though the wife thought maybe their clothing inventory wasn't as extensive as at a bigger store.  The staffers were helpful.  This store is out of the way for us but we came up here as one of the kiddos is a participant in the Northbrook Girls Softball Association and they offered a limited time 20% off promotion applicable only to this store. They had a good supply of youth size cleats, one of the items on our shopping list, and the girls also took the opportunity to do a mini shopping spree on some of their clothing and swim wear.  Thumbs up on the store and thank you!

They fit great in the store, but after walking in them all day, they hurt my feet and I had to bring them back. When I went into the store to return them or to exchange them, they could not have been nicer. It was a newer shoe that they just started carrying and they wanted to know my opinion of them i told him it was a great shoe. It just did not fit me well for a long day on my feet. They called someone in the shoe department to help me. He found a fabulous pair of Brooks that fit me perfectly. I have not been wearing them all day and my feet feel so much better. I was a little concerned about exchanging the pair my mom had bought me because I did not have her credit card with me, but there was absolutely no problem. The shoes I bought were $16 cheaper than what my mom had spent, and it automatically got credited back to her credit card. Best experience I've had buying shoes in a long, long time. My photographic memory told me that I've passed by The Locker Room on the way to some restaurants on Central St. The Locker Room is located directly across from Ryan Field. Currently, there are many off-season apparel, accessories, and gadgets on sale. Once we walked into the actual store, the space was quite cramped and hard to maneuver. However, they were well-stocked and had massive inventories. A older gentleman with a suit was the store attendant. He was very friendly and helpful with Dad's searches for short and long sleeve t-shirts. Dad thought the large size would fit, but they did run small. However, the sweatshirts were true to size. In the end, Dad walked away with one (1) sweatshirt, one (1) short-sleeve t-shirt, one (1) long-sleeve t-shirt, and one (1) cap for $125.31. I thought the price was fair for these four (4) items that would normally cost somewhere between $150 to $200. I'm not really familiar with other NW souvenir shops around, but I would recommend this place if you're looking for everything NW (but they won't beat Wisconsin)!
