I went in today after a long hiatus . upon walking in they always within a minute ask if you need help. i politely always say just browsing . i enjoy shopping alone and like to take my time . After the polite just browsing , if you pick up anything in hand they are. suck like a hawk putting it dressing room. Ok then another item in hand , back again taking it out of hand . It's always the same . sometimes i like to not even try on but i don't bother here bc they grab it . Ok now in 7 min you are approached multiple times . into fitting room , they knock immediately asking if you need something else . i get it maybe soma people like that service but i don't and usually try to politely give the vibe that i just want to shop solo . I could not even wear this worthless sweater for half a day because the fit was so uncomfortable. No, it was not sized wrong. It fit my torso fine. But the sleeves were so short and tight that they were cutting off circulation to my arms. And I have skinny arms. This is a quality issue. L.L. Bean sells dirt-cheap quality clothing at high-caliber department store prices. It is a total ripoff. You would be much better served going to an actual department store or even Amazon for your clothing needs.

This is one of the smaller Dick's (pun not intended duh) as it is atypically housed in a 1 story…read morestrip mall building.  The store is still deceptively huge and I learned it's still sizable at about 60,000 ft2 (a dimension which I can't really relate to anyway).  They still seemed to have everything you might expect though the wife thought maybe their clothing inventory wasn't as extensive as at a bigger store.  The staffers were helpful.  This store is out of the way for us but we came up here as one of the kiddos is a participant in the Northbrook Girls Softball Association and they offered a limited time 20% off promotion applicable only to this store. They had a good supply of youth size cleats, one of the items on our shopping list, and the girls also took the opportunity to do a mini shopping spree on some of their clothing and swim wear.  Thumbs up on the store and thank you!

They fit great in the store, but after walking in them all day, they hurt my feet and I had to bring them back. When I went into the store to return them or to exchange them, they could not have been nicer. It was a newer shoe that they just started carrying and they wanted to know my opinion of them i told him it was a great shoe. It just did not fit me well for a long day on my feet. They called someone in the shoe department to help me. He found a fabulous pair of Brooks that fit me perfectly. I have not been wearing them all day and my feet feel so much better. I was a little concerned about exchanging the pair my mom had bought me because I did not have her credit card with me, but there was absolutely no problem. The shoes I bought were $16 cheaper than what my mom had spent, and it automatically got credited back to her credit card. Best experience I've had buying shoes in a long, long time. Highly recommend this Dicks!!

Back in March we were shopping our way thru LA when I asked the sales associate the very same question and she said "well you're in luck because I hear one is opening up in Wilmette this year?" I figured she must be confused since there was nowhere in Wilmette that made sense to put a Love Shack Fancy, but she was correct. About a month later I heard that they would be turning Wilmette's Plaza de Lago into a shoppers paradise, which included Love Shack Fancy! There's so many amazing stores going into Plaza de Lago, but all my 14 year out cares about is Love Shack Fancy and she's been eagerly awaiting opening day. When we heard September 19th was the big day she suggested we camp out the night before. Um, no. I did offer to take her to their opening during her school at school, but then we scored an invite to their VIP grand opening the evening before...I told her to invite a few friends and let's shop! I think the girls spent more time making tiktoks and taking pics than shopping, but my wallet was OK with that. However, we did spend a lot of time admiring all the frilly adorable clothes...and purchased a few things. i liked that they had a few Chicago items for sale such as bracelets and a sweatshirt to make it special/different from over LSF stores. All the sales associates there couldn't be more friendly whether they were visiting from other stores (we saw a few that helped us in Greenwich during our last visit!) or will be working there full-time (shout out to Carly who was very friendly to my daughter and her friends). Everyone in the store, whether they worked there or visiting, was dressed to impress in LSF and while i usually find it to be a younger brand definitely found myself admiring some things for myself. I have a feeling we'll be back a lot, although i think my 14 year old is going to need a job with this just 15 minutes from our house!

It's frustrating when people come in, try on clothes regardless if their size is available, just to post on their social media accounts. Being clear they have no intention of buying anything. We had to wait half an hour for a dressing room because someone was on a live. Completely understand. Social media king, it's just a little frustrating. When you're actually a customer trying to buy. That's not on the store. That's not on the staff. That is strictly on the customers. But highly recommend the store and the sales staff, and the merchandise. Absolutely beautiful.

I have found no deals on any golf clubs here in the last 6 yrs. If I find a club I need to fill a broken set, it is always priced too high (they are higher than any other Play It Again Sports (PIAS) by 20-500% for exact match club brands) and they are unwilling to negotiate a lower price except by less than 5%. By comparison to other Play It Again Sports - Shaumburg, Crystal, I was able to purchase the 2 needed clubs at 25% and 16% of the "negotiated" price of an identical club at the Waukegan Ave PIAS store. I do not recommend this store for any golf items. I will never again go to this store for any reason. It is not worth the trip (25 mi.) to waste my time. DB
