On a recent Saturday morning, my wife and I joined a small group of others in an archery class at Backroom Archery-Turra's. We entered through the retail shop, where that was filled with all kinds of archery paraphernalia that I had no idea about, and we were escorted through a back door to a big room-- the range. Our husband and wife team provided safety information and then handed out bows. They worked step by step to help us learn body positions with the bow that would help us become successful archers. Then we practiced launching some 8 arrows down towards the targets. Many of our arrows missed their target-- some sliding down the floor and others striking the thick padded blanket at the end of the room. After each volley (?) of arrows, they would go over another new technique to refine our posture, and each time our accuracy improved. By the end of our class, they had us pin a balloon to the target. I'm still impressed that I was able to pop the balloon two separate times (when the range was clear, we would all walk down the range and collect our arrows and get set for the next round). It was a fun way to spend the morning and for me, quite satisfying. I now have a lot of respect for those Olympic archers-- and Katniss Everdeen. My only suggestion is to wear long sleeves if it's a cool morning. The range room is a big space with a concrete floor and was a little cool. I've recommended the experience to friends and look forward to returning someday-- will be a great activity on a rainy day.

As the trees are concerned, one is closer to the picnic tables and the others are near the newer set which allows for parents to sit and enjoy cooler air - also metal benches close by. We nicknamed it the tree house playground as the major structure looks like it, made of newer plastics and some metal/rope. Both areas of play have bark-chips. Occasionally there've been older kids, but never caused any problems for my kids who are younger than 7 year old. The older set is mostly wood and metal, providing the only swings in the equipment for smaller children, my kids have sighted some bees but doesn't appear problematic to their play. Also there is two benches for oversight. It is important to know there aren't bathrooms here (closest are just a bit away at the end of wiseman airport park) or drinking fountains which both reduce the expended stay feature unlike some other playgrounds in Petaluma. It is also positioned near Garfield which isn't too busy but without a gate, wondering children may be at risk.

He turned out to be a tech at 31st outfitters and he knew exactly what the problem was and had the gun taken apart and fixed in minutes and really saved the day for my son and I. He didn't need to spend his time helping me (I was totally out of my league with this problem) but I am SO appreciative that he did. And he really was super gracious and kind. Ty went above and beyond and we are so lucky to have him here today!

This golf course is amongst the top three public courses in the area. It boasts a challenging…read morelayout, but not too challenging for the average golfer. It's well kept and reasonably priced. Plus it's mostly flat and thus very walkable. And it's quite scenic, located in a natural setting with water foul, and so many mature plants and trees. None of the holes are next to public roadways. So it's mostly quiet and serene. And I say mostly, because there is an airport next to the course so that does create some loud, intermittent, overhead noise particularly on holes 5-10. The staff does a great job in getting people out and are very friendly.

My daughter's confidence and body awareness has increased, and she loves to practice by herself. Thea, the founder, is super professional and does an awesome job with the older group. The teachers give stickers to the little ones and provide all the tools needed for class. I highly recommend sending your children here whether interested in just starting or competing.

Recently moved to Sonoma County and was thrilled to have a rhythmic gymnastics gym for my daughter…read morenearby. Before when we were in San Mateo County, we had to either drive close to an hour to either San Jose or San Francisco. The coaches are dedicated and have high standards but make it fun. My 10 year old loves going to group lessons and has so much fun in the private lessons it doesn't feel like training to her. Of course there is a lot of stretching but this gym also gets the girls on different apparatuses right away. My daughter loves that flexibility is her school yard super power!
