All. As a long time member of the "normal" club, where you may had started with any time of the day to workout, then as times changed so did the availability of the doors being open and unlocked. But if that was not enough to be of concerned with, I also had to deal with broken equipment, rude or disrespectful members or simply those that are not at the gym for any purpose other than gawking at other people. My wife has attended Athletics For All (AFA) for years and I finally dumped the "normal" gym and moved to AFA. Do you like accountability from the trainer and your workout cohorts, then this a for you. Jose has created an incredible community and works so hard to motivate people to be better versions of themselves, not just physically but mentally as well. The instruction at this place is awesome and I would recommend this place to everyone ranging from the beginner who has never exercised to the more advanced practitioner who has experience with exercise. Coach Jose is really patient and sets up some great exercise circuits that will help you meet your exercise goals. The vibe of the place is very positive and encouraging. I know it can be intimidating to step into a new place especially if you have no experience. This is the best place to come in the Azusa area. I have been a member of AFA since January 2023. From the moment I stepped into my first class I was welcomed with open arms. Jose our trainer and owner takes pride in creating a friendly and active community. The workouts are challenging but doable and he always has modifications ready if you need help. I've gotten to know the founder of Athletics for All, Jose, thru his bootcamp classes at Triad Fitness. I've been a member of Triad for 3 1/2 years and have attended many bootcamp classes held by many different instructors and several things that definitely stood out about Jose is: 1) His genuine interest and concern about your current fitness level and capabilities 2) Your form while working out 3)His humbleness, friendliness and willingness to listen to you 4) The fact that his family, including extended family members, regularly support him,AFA and attend his bootcamp classes on Saturdays as well Prior to Triad Fitness, I had memberships at 24hr. fitness, Planet Fitness, a small women's only gym in my neighborhood, Crunch, a zumba/kickboxing/kettlebell gym in La Puente...in short,if there was medium to high concentration of sweaty people, weights and thumping music nearby I was there. Triad has my loyalty for other reasons but Jose is like the sugar free icing on a protein pancake. Ask yourself: How often have you gone to a gym and trainers have walked by without acknowledging your presence, don't want to help you unless you fork up more $, are on their phone during training or have acted like you are such an inconvenience cuz can't you see that I'm trying to talk to these hot girls? You will 100% NOT get that if you train with Jose and/or Athletics for All. His great attitude and encouragement of everyone around him makes him stand out both as a trainer and as an individual AND positively affects everyone around him. I cannot speak highly enough of AFA! While the workouts can be challenging, Jose is happy to modify movements for everyone's skill level. He has also created an excellent atmosphere of community, encouragement, and accountability. I really appreciate the general well-roundedness of this gym not only addressing strength building, but mechanics, nutrition, and mobility. I also appreciate that the gym hosts a range of events including yoga, sound baths, running clinics, hikes, and dance workshops (things I may have not considered giving a try in past!) Absolutely an awesome full body workout! Jose is great about modifying workout regiments on the spot. Jose got me back to a point where I was physically able to run again. My neurologist and physical therapist had said I couldn't perform the same activities as before I had my spinal lesions. With Jose, it took me about ~4 months to get back to the grind!
