Upon…read morearrival back to Atlanta, I immediately went to the Doctor at Advanced Hearing Centers and got an examination. (the exam from the doctors office was covered by insurance) ... please note... The Exam Only. Right away (even the Doctor) was more interested in getting me fitted with hearing aids than diagnosing the damage. This was my first "clue" but there is nothing that can be done when you are at the mercy of a Doctors' diagnosis. I had lost my hearing, and I was easy prey. Next, I went downstairs to have another hearing test done, and that was where the scam started revealing itself. But again. when a person is at a disadvantage there is nothing you can do - after the fact. Insurance does not cover hearing aids no matter how you lost your hearing unless you are willing to forgo years without aids and shell out thousands of dollars until your case is cleared. The cost is on you so please do your research! I was treated by a very young audiologist (wish I could give you her name!) and I am not an elderly person. She spoke to me in a very disrespectful (demeaning) way which by itself made me irritated, but she seemed to be robotic in her nature. Never made direct eye contact with me, and never addressed me as an individual...etd..etc. She spoke more about her upcoming wedding than tuning the hearing aids! After much inquiry about the different models displayed she insisted on Starkey Hearing Aids as the "very best on the market" blah, blah...well... what do I know? I didn't have a clue as to which devices were better than the others I couldn't hear and I needed help! I purchased the Starkey Z series ($5,475.00) which came with a Sure Link unit ($500.00 extra) to be able to hear phone calls and television thru it. She was so excited to sell me these "new technologies".. uh hunh. I see, you get a commission from Starkey, as I would assume you would get from any other models displayed in your office, but STARKEY must pay you higher. Here is the result and reason for my complaint - I have had to replace the first unit for a manufacturing issue, and now the "replacement" has failed, and you guessed it, the warranty is up. That's right... $700.00 to replace the 2nd unit for faulty manufacturing. When I spoke to this (same woman) audiologist at (advanced Hearing Centers) she announced in the waiting room in front of waiting clients... "You are the only person with this problem" WOW! ... sure I am. I have checked with Consumer Affairs and seen numerous complaints about Starkey so no - I'm not buying your BS for a second time! How utterly disrespectful she was and had been, throughout the process of adjustments which has taken a FULL YEAR of monthly visits to "get it right". I wish I had someone like myself warning me about the practices at this place... I would have found somewhere else to go. So, Buyer Beware! Starkey will NOT support you as customer - like Advanced Hearing Centers they are only interested in milking you for money.

He did an exam and determined I had a small cyst on my vocal cord. We scheduled the surgery and when he was in there it revealed two tiny nodules instead of one small cyst. He removed them and I was onto recovery! Fast forward 14 years and I have my first ever bout of laryngitis. I went to an otolaryngologist in San Francisco for a vocal check since I was not recovering as fast as I hoped. The doctor said she never would have known I had surgery on my vocal cords. There was no scar tissue and no sign of a scar at all! She was very impressed. I owe my career and my sanity to Dr. Koriwchak. My life would have taken a completely different path if it were not for him. I am forever grateful.

I was referred to one of the physicians in this practice by my Internal Medicine physician who…read morethinks I need surgery. I called on a Monday morning to make an appointment. I got the voicemail for the appointment desk. I left a detailed message (as requested). I heeded their voicemail about not leaving a second message, believing the other part of their message that they would return my call. I called on Tuesday, got the same VM but didn't leave a message. Repeated on Wednesday, still... straight to voicemail. On Thursday, I did get a live person. I requested the appointment, gave answers to the medical reason I needed one, and was told the first available is 6 weeks. Okay, fine. I gave her all of the information she requested, but since I was driving at the time, I told her I would have to give her my insurance ID number later -- because I was driving. She snippily said "well, I cannot confirm the appointment until you get that to me. I need to verify you have the insurance and network before I can make the appointment." I replied that I had already confirmed that before calling, gave her the Carrier and plan, and that I am in the Northside system, where she can pull me up. She then got snippier. I replied, you know what, since making this appointment has cost me quite a bit of time and been a complete hassle, forget it, I will go to another ENT practice in town. I have never had to have this information on had to make an appointment. If a practice is accepting new patience (read: CUSTOMERS), they need to make the process easier. They are in fact a business with the goal of making money, yet physician's and their practice managers often forget that customer service is important. How many times to do we all have to wait 15m 30 or 45 minutes plus for our appointments, even when we arrive early as requested to fill out paperwork every time?! I am sick of it.

I info the CSR Representative that I was in the car with my roommate and her tire was flat and proceeded to walk to get there. They informed mei was still classified as a no show and I called twice. I am upset rhat It was not my fault but no matter what your situation and you are not in time and you called twice you are still considered a no show and will be charged a fee of $25. The best ENT doctor! I had a clogged ear on July 4 and went to Piedmont Urgent Care. A doctor there…read moretold me I have a severe ear infection. I thought it was ear wax, but she told me differently. She prescribed Amoxicillin and Neomycin and the 7 days I took it I felt so ill. My body wasn't taking the antibiotics well. Fast forward to this week, I wanted a professional evaluation and went to go see Dr.Kim. The office staff were very welcoming and kind. Dr.Kim and the other nurses listened to my words. When Dr.Kim looked into my ear she said there was fluid and wax in there. She suctioned my ear up and a few minutes later I am HEARING AGAIN out of my left ear!!!! I was so happy with joy I thought I was going to cry. Almost. Dr.Kim is awesome and so very kind. I am so happy right now that she fixed my problem. As for the pills, I was taking them for no reason thanks to the other doctor at Piedmont Urgent Care. I am happy right now so I don't even care about it anymore. I am well again thanks to Dr.Kim and the staff at ENT of Georgia. Thank you so very much!

I have seen Dr. Jenny Kim twice and find her to be an excellent and knowledgable Otolaryngologist…read more I was able to book an appointment to see her the next day after calling her office the previous day. She is absolutely kind, knowledgable, caring, helpful, and does a very excellent job of treating all of her patients. I came to her with severe nasal congestion and nasal drainage. She examined the inside of my nose on my very visitation with her as well as ask me if I had any sinus pressure, ear pain, or headaches. I told her that I did not, and she explained to me that I did have a sinus infection on my first visit. So, she prescribed me a strong antibiotic and a nasal spray. I have taken all of the antibiotic that she has prescribed me as well as used the nasal spray and it helped a whole lot. I started to have relief just after two days. When I went back to her for a follow up visit, she inserted her nasal light up inside of my nose and then irrigated (suctioned) each one of my own sinus cavities. She also sprayed the inside of my nose and then to a sample culture for testing. She called me back Friday afternoon with the results and told me exactly what kind of bacterial sinus infection that I had and to inform me to take the remaining antibiotics. I have done just that. When she suctioned and irrigated both of my nasal cavities, I had a lot more immediate relief. I have also continued to take nasal spray afterwards as she advised and recommended. It has been close to a whole week and today I am 100% better and free from my own sinus infection and it is all because of Dr. Jenny Kim. She has sped up and shortened the duration my suffering. Dr. Kim has never rushed through any of my own appointments and visits with her at all. She has always taken plenty of time with treating and not rushing at all. Dr. Kim truly is an excellent, knowledgable, and wonderful Otolaryngologist with a true passion and a true love for the kind of medicine that she practices. She also treats all of her patients extremely well and with lots of care. I absolutely do highly recommend her. She is simply the best!
