Came here for a date night and Peter was awesome! Super hospitable, world class magician, and just a real likeable guy. I've watched magic here and there throughout my life, and I was still blown away by many of the tricks that Peter did. His pre-show close up card magic was awesome as well - make sure you arrive early for that! When my boyfriend and I went, it happened to be a very intimate crowd, so everyone got to be a part of Peter's show! Such a fun, unique date night idea. We bought VIP tickets for front row seating and I highly recommend that. It was more mind-blowing to see his magic up close than to be sitting in the back and kinda being able to see some aspects of the show. Parking in downtown can be an absolute nightmare, especially if there's other events going on. If you're willing to walk ~15 minutes, there's free street parking off of Mills St NW. In my experience, parking here allowed me to largely avoid downtown traffic nightmare, as well as $$$ parking. read more

He did a cool card trick and got us tickets up row 2 and discount for being hotel guests. It's a small show but it made it more fun and the vibe was just off the roof. I couldn't take my eyes away from him and I'm a HUGE believer in allagic and supernatural so I was entrance by all the acts. I took a course and watched so many debunking shows about magicians and psychics but I couldn't not figure out how anything was possible. He made the effort to remember guests from last week and even remembered us the next day. Such a fun evening activity and definitely recommend going. My 12-year-old son and I had an unforgettable experience last night at Peter Morrison's magic show! We came early for the pre-show and enjoyed some mind-blowing card tricks. Peter engaged so warmly with my son and me. He took note of Charlie's birthday and remembered other details of our conversation, which he wove into his show. In fact, he did this with all of his guests. I was not only amazed by the magic, but at his attentiveness and kindness! During the show, he called guests out by name and occasion. (There were many other birthdays and anniversaries in the room). It's one thing to perform some incredible magic tricks. It's a whole other thing to create a community and bring delight. Peter did all of the above! We will definitely be back. Some notes: Valet parking at the hotel was easy and fairly-priced. Just make sure you tell them you're there for the magic show. Parking was $15. Also, we purchased the VIP tickets for front-row seats. The theater is very small and I'm sure any seat is great, but we loved being in the front row! read more

We were in town for a concert so my friend and I looked for another activity in the area that was walking distance to our hotel and came across the Atlanta Magic Theater. We were running a bit late because all of the World Cup traffic and Peter (the magician) was super accommodating. You can also come earlier to see some up-close magic. We missed that part BUT will definitely make it a point to catch it next time. I truly could not fathom/understand at all how any of the tricks were done, I was on the edge of my seat! Hello, Peter's #1 fan here. What. a. show. I was invited to the Atlanta Magic Theater along with some of my amazing buddies at Discover Atlanta after chatting about how I just had to see this amazing magician. I'm a fun girl, I love nothing more than a great show/performance and although I haven't been to many magic shows, I knew that it was right up my alley. Know that the Atlanta Magic Theater is located inside of Embassy Suites, so be on the lookout for the hotel. When I arrived, it seemed that only valet may have been available there which was totally fine for me, but something to know if you'd prefer finding parking elsewhere. The valet guys were kind and quick, and had me on my way to the show within moments of stepping out of my car. The hotel lobby itself is huge, full of room for travelers and magic lovers alike. I was walked over to the location where the Atlanta Magic Theater is housed and saw the buzz beginning. A handsome, sharply-dressed gentleman with a great smile was standing in the lobby area chatting up some guests and I figured, "that must be him." And minutes later he turned his attention to me and began asking more about myself. After chatting about his background in San Francisco and the Yelp connections, he started up a card trick that although seemingly simple, had me pumped and ready for the rest of the magic lol. It was a great little teaser! Once the show was about to begin, Peter came out and gathered myself and the other attendees and guided us into the theater. What a theater!! Being a thespian myself, I truly appreciated this Black Box theater and even more so when Peter explained to us that he had the full set brought in and created his lighting and sound effects/timing himself. Talk about a one-man show! That is NOT easy and takes skill, patience and precision, amazing. Onto the show. I can't even wrap up my thoughts fully on the show because I'd love to go over each illusion and why I loved it, but that's not happening lol. But what a show! Peter truly left us all gasping, laughing and so wrapped up in what was coming next. I loved how he wove in personal stories from his life, telling us more about why the particular illusion was special to him, etc. When he brought guests on stage, he truly connected with them and with us all at once. Just a few tricks were ones we may have seen before (but never in Peter-style!!) but the majority of them were ones that I feel like I had never seen, making them even more exciting. Hearing from Peter about who he inspired him to master an illusion and how long it can take to master them made me even more appreciative of each new exciting moment. This is truly a show that shouldn't be missed and I hope that more folks catch up soon because Peter is truly offering up a 5-star experience! read more

ATLANTA THEATER MAGIC with Peter Morrison is a MUST DO for anybody traveling to or living in the Atlanta area! I decided to take my wife on a surprise trip to the Georgia Aquarium this weekend. She knew she was going on a trip, but not where. She was very excited about it. So after making the 3 and a half hour trip in about 5 hours, we arrived at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Centennial Park. It's a great hotel with a very friendly staff. They even let us check in early and we got a room on the 5th floor with a view of the park. The aquarium was well laid out and very enjoyable. The highlight of our trip though, was when we ran into a magician in the lobby of the hotel named Peter Morrison. He was very engaging and personable. Well, we bought tickets to the show. I'd advise everyone to BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE! There are only 43 seats in the very intimate theater and it sold out quickly. He connected so well with the audience that at times it felt like he was performing his act just for my wife and I. Peter's humor and technically perfect skills amazed both my wife and I. The stage, the lighting, and the soundtrack were so polished that you couldn't help but be drawn into the "magic" of his performance. Even the professional magician from New York got caught up in Peter's performance and clapped during the Linking Rings presentation. Peter's act also involves audience participation so be prepared to be part of the show. Peter performed the physical magic flawlessly. But during the mental magic he blew us all away. My wife was involved with one routine that we could not even believe and will talk about for the rest of our lives. "Scuba Diving????" LOL How could he have even known? I decided to surprise him for Valentine's day and bring him to this magic show. He and I love to binge watch magic shows on netflix or youtube and have become major fans of Now you see me franchise BUT TO SEE IT IN PERSON IS QUITE LITERALLY AN EXPERIENCE THAT CAN NOT BE SUFFICIENTLY DESCRIBED. PETER WAS FANTASSSSTICCC!!! I can not believe all the things he did RIGHT IN FRONT OF US, WE KEPT looking for something--anything that would tip us off as to how he was doing what he was doing but we simply could not find the "how". From the ambience, to the music, to the crowd engagement, his personal touches on the interactions w/ each guest, his command of our attention, of course the magic itself, taking the time to meet with us all and speak w/ us before and after--this is quite simply the BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN. My son and I talked about it on the hour long ride home, and we stayed up for hours trying our hardest to figure out everything, as I sat back and watched my son's reactions to each trick, I was overwhelmed with joy as it clearly built a core memory and now he is telling EVERYONE WHO WILL LISTEN about his experience and that he was a "star" of the show lol. I'll be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the magic show and my wife was surprised I suggested it for date night. Well I can now confirm that I agree that Peter deserves 5 stars. He was very personable, charismatic and talented in his craft of magic. This show was the highlight of our weekend to Atlanta. It was great fun for our entire family including our 17 year old son. My husband initially only went to the show because I wanted to. But, he left calling the show amazing and enchanting. My son did too. Of course, I agree. The theater is small, by Peter's design, so that he can bring you a very intimate and personalized experience. You will need to pick up your tickets at the theatre even if you buy them on line. So arrive 60-90 minutes prior to the show, and you will get to personally meet Peter while he performs some pre show slight-of-hand card tricks for you. You do not want to miss this!!! I was so thrilled to actually get to meet him, shake his hand and spend time getting to know him in person prior to the show. In a world that is so dominated by electronics and people looking at their phones, this up close and personal experience was so refreshing and special. Peter is so charming, fun, funny, talented, charismatic and captivating. He and the show are truly remarkable! He practiced his ring routine for 15 years before he ever presented it in his show, and it truly was spectacular. Peter is a true showman. We cannot recommend this show enough! Start with problem making the reservations for a few of us in our group. He knew our group was coming and about how many were expected. When we arrived there were several late and just before curtain he said all seats were filled. About 5 minutes later one couple showed up and were seated by his assistant. Then his assistant was on the phone calling another couple because she was holding 2 seats for them. In the end 2 no shows. Bottom line don't misreport and say there are no seats when you have 2 late couples. Make a decision and most importantly be honest. Also get a better ticketing system for your shows. So for customer service I would give you no stars and give you no recommendation. read more

My first time experiencing a magic show in person. Never knew such things existed in Atlanta. The show was really great! Highly recommend for several reasons. Magician Peter Morrison is very friendly, engaging, and interacts well with the audience. Never a dull moment. The crowd wasn't too big and it felt quite intimate. The music that played along with the show was lovely. Everything about the entire show was really well put together and had a classic feel to it. Before the show you can arrive an hour early for their pre-show. We also got to take pictures with Peter at the end of the show. The show I attended was the second to last at that particular location as they are moving to a new venue in October which will still be in the city.
