TLDR; worth the time and $60 (Atlanta) A wide variety in act quality; some left the audience genuinely exclaiming and cursing, some were filler, and some I wanted to just be over with (invisible circus, couch mime with female audience volunteer...) Incredible vocals and music throughout. There are no bad seats in terms of angle, but note the slope is gentle and shorter audience members may want to ensure they end up in the front. Just when I thought I might have "Cirque fatigue," VOLTA really impressed me. It reinvigorated my interest in Cirque du Soleil. I've been to seven Cirque shows over the past 11 years (http://bit.ly/2MNU0st). With the exception of LUZIA, I've rated every show five stars. Cirque du Soleil shows are consistently amazing. That said, VOLTA is my favorite one yet and I'm not sure I've said that about any Cirque show up to this point. For me, it's the best of the best. I enjoyed everything about it: the story, the acts, the music, the costumes and makeup, and the set design. It was all superb. VOLTA is playing in Atlanta from October 10, 2019 to January 5, 2020. Cirque du Soleil set up their big top, the Grand Chapiteau, in its usual spot in Atlantic Station. We saw VOLTA this past weekend (opening weekend). It was sold out. A quick rundown of the Cirque shows I've seen, all in Atlantic Station: * Kooza - 1/23/2009 * Ovo - 9/18/2010 * Totem - 11/3/2012 * Amaluna - 10/28/2014 * Kurios - 3/15/2016 * Luzia - 9/28/2017 * Volta - 10/12/2019 Logistically-speaking, not much sets VOLTA apart from other Cirque shows that have toured through Atlanta. Parking is plentiful in the two-story Atlantic Station deck. You'll have to pay to park. I'm not sure what the price is because we walked this year. The Grand Chapiteau hasn't changed significantly over the last 11 years. It's a relatively intimate venue with 2,500 seats. There's hardly a bad seat in the house. The bad seats are those with viewing angles partially blocked by tent poles. On Cirque's website (https://cirk.me/2MMH7Pv), tickets start at $49 per person before taxes and fees. This year, one of our friends got us tickets through Goldstar. We paid $66.75 per person after taxes and fees for seats in Section 204, Row N. I guesstimate we were about two-thirds of the way back from the front row on the right side of the stage with a clear, unobstructed view. Check out my photos for reference. Speaking of photography, in recent years, Cirque du Soleil has loosened their restrictions. Before, pictures were forbidden. As of a few years ago, guests are allowed to take non-flash photography. Be sure to turn off your flash and dim your screen. Show up early or you may not get seated until after one or more acts are over. The site opens 45 minutes before showtime and the big top opens 30 minutes before. Allow yourself plenty of time to park, walk, use the restroom, buy gifts/concessions, etc. Our show started promptly at 4:30pm and ended just before 6:45pm, so the total elapsed time was about 2 hours 15 minutes including a 25-minute intermission. Even though you may receive PDF tickets intended for printing, you actually don't have to print anything. The ticket scanners can scan the tickets on your phone. Acts can vary slightly from show to show. Here's what we saw (might be missing some things): 1. The show started off in a futuristic dystopia game show setting with mini acts like juggling, human-sized circle balancing, jump rope, and contemporary dance. It was Black-Mirror-esque. 2. Choreographed precision-walking, roller-skating, and a hand-to-hand duo on a single unicycle. 3. "Acro Lamp." An aerialist performed maneuvers on a lamp rope suspended high above the stage. 4. Trampo-wall. Trampoline walls are some of my Cirque acts and this was definitely one of my favorite acts from VOLTA. I particularly loved the choreography, music, and costumes. The music had a TRON-esque 80s techno vibe and the performers were dressed in very bright colors, also evoking 80s culture. Combined with a rotating trampo-wall and bright lights synced to the music, this was really fun to watch. 5. Mr. Wow and the Mr. Wow Show. Washing machine act. Funny. 6. Flatland BMX and ballet duo. This was one of the more emotional acts of the show and it had my fiancee in tears due to its moving score and beautiful symbolism of the love between a mother and son. 7. Swiss rings/bungee, like super high-flying gymnastics. - INTERMISSION - 8. Acrobatic ladder duo. Two ladders, stacked almost to the top of the tent. 9. "Shape Diving." People jumping through hoops, choreographed, with increasing difficulty. The only screw-up of the show happened during this act. 10. Mr. Wow beach scene. Funny, but not as funny as the washing machine act. 11. Diabolo (Chinese yo-yo). Most jaw-dropping diabolo performance I've seen. The way the performer "whipped" diabolos, one-handed, and kept them suspended in mid-air was incredible. 12. Hair suspension. Fantastic performance, but the pop Indian/Bollywood music and theme didn't seem to fit in with the rest of VOLTA. 13. Contemporary dance. My least favorite of the acts. 14. Aerial straps. Standard Cirque fare (which means great). 15. Four-man BMX performance on an expanded stage. Yes, BMX in Cirque du Soleil and it works. Compared to other Cirque shows, I like how this one incorporated more technology. Big video displays on stage too. TL;DR - Go see VOLTA. read more

This was our first time attending the Cirque du Soleil. (Yeah, where have I been my whole life?) We attended the 8:00 PM showing on Thanksgiving. I thought there'd be less people there since everyone would be at home celebrating Thanksgiving. (I was wrong) We parked in the Atlantic Station parking deck. (Expect to pay around $6). We had tried earlier to eat dinner at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ before the show (it was the only thing open at Atlantic Station). But, after waiting 1.5 hours, we couldn't wait any longer so we skipped dinner. We arrived early around 7:00 to take a look around and buy some food. The snacks were very limited. (And pricey as well.) Seating opened at 7:30 and show started a little after 8. They opened by getting a "volunteer" to do a hula act in front of everyone. (I hope they gave that guy a free ticket to a future show.) All the acts were pretty good, mostly acrobatic type acts. Seems like all the acts were done mostly by college age kids. But, they obviously put in a lot of practice and they were all really into it. I thought the "funny" acts could've been left out. Seating is a bit tight. The woman to my right was quite heavy and occupying more than her own seat, so we were exchanging body heat the entire time. Hands down one of the top 5 best performance shows I have EVER seen in my life. I wasn't initially super excited to go because I heard mixed reviews about previous shows but I am so glad I decided to go! The show started at 8pm. I was in the area around 7:30 but quickly realized I would not make it by the start time in the traffic. If you're coming from 85 north into the city and get off at exit 84, just keep left. If you stay right and try to turn into Atlantic station, it will take you an hour or more with traffic. Keep left and then make a right on 10th st, and then a right on Northside, then a right on 16th st, left on village, right on 18th and take it to the end and make a left and you will be right in front of Atlantic Station valet or you can head down to self parking ! Sounds like a lot but I did all of that in literally 5-7 minutes and beat the traffic! Self parking can seem a little intimidating on a busy night like this but Atlantic Stations parking garage is huge so if you just breathe , you will find a space. We ended up being in line to get in around 7:50. We checked and went inside to get our seats but stopped at concessions first. Of course everything is overpriced and you can bring any outside food in. We purchased an adult size popcorn and a bottled water. $14!!!! Wow We had pretty good seats Door 1, Section 201, Row L, seats 9&10 We could see the entire stage clearly! There is no flash photography or videos but you are allowed to take pictures. The show itself is unexplainable and I won't give any spoilers but I promise you will be in awe, in shock , laughing your head off, smiling, crying and every emotion in between and at the end you will stand to your feet and give the performers a standing ovation that they deserve The stunts in this show are mind blowing. So many times in the show I found myself holding on to the edge of my chair afraid they would miss and time and time again they proved me wrong AMAZING SHOW! read more

The location of this particular show was Atlantic station in Atlanta. It was really a fun spot. We've seen several Cirque du Soleil shows, and this one was good, but not my favorite. Why? When the individual performer came out in between acts, I thought it was a bit hokey and boring. But, the BMX element to the show was spectacular, and all of these performers are tremendous athletes very dedicated to their craft.. For me, the performance didn't seem to have a good flow. I'm going to have to agree with the average rating. After seeing it a second time in a row within 1 year of my first Cirque Volta show with very close floor seats, I just feel it's hard to part with spending $130/person. If they had charged us $20 to park like they did in Tampa, FL I'd undoubtedly give them 2 stars instead, but we parked in a nearby garage and only paid $4-$6 since it charges per hour & was a 2 hr. showing with a 25 min. intermission. I regret getting a $15 glass of Prosecco that tasted flat, only took one sip before taking the pic. shown - very, very disappointed. My friend paid same amount for popcorn and Pepsi - prices are insane! You should just forgo their concessions altogether! I felt the show wasn't as electrifying compared to when I saw them in Tampa, FL & it doesn't flow well from one act to another to be honest - still entertaining. There were still a lot of awe inspiring parts of the show that included: *Hoop Magic: Mesmerized by the 4 hoops stacked on top of each other that rotates while acrobats jump through them backwards! *Jump Roping: They moved their feet so fast & also did handstands, too! *Trampoline Act: Splits & insane somersaults! *BMX: Bikes flying in the air in every direction with lots of tricks! read more

Warning: You will be clapping or going "Wow!" every 5 seconds. Volta is a relatively new Cirque du Soleil production. It debuted in Spring 2017 in Montreal and is now in Atlanta until January 5, 2020. The plot is thin, but you don't go to Cirque du Soleil for the intricate storylines of course. It's all about the amazing stunts and acrobatic moves that will have you almost forgetting to breathe!  Volta is an audiovisual treat. The music, composed by M83's Anthony Gonzalez, was terrific and complemented the show well. CDs of the soundtrack were sold in the gift shop for $15. Many of the costumes were zany and colorful, like a kid's Crayon box spilled over. The concessions were astronomical ($6 for water?!?!), and the wait for them was long and I gave up. There was one stand outside and a couple inside. And what, no poutine on the menu either? Shame. As for tickets, they can be pricey but there are deals to be had. Try signing up for the official Cirque newsletter. Look for specials on the Volta ticket website. See if your workplace offers deals too. When the show concluded after about 2.25 hours, we were disappointed since we wanted more! My only minor gripes might be that the clown interludes were a little long, and some of the other guests were too chatty or smelly. It's better than I expected. It was AMAZING! I got VIP seats, literally the front row, which had enhanced my experience. It's a beautiful story of a news reporter finding fame but reminiscing his childhood and wanting to bring all that colors/love/positivity back. The performances were AMAZING! They played with lights, props and colors really well. Had a TV in the background to give a better perspective of the story to the audience. The performers interacted with the audience a lot. The performances were NOT too crazy but still very Impressive. The main character is from Peachtree City! Also live music coordinated with the act was fantastic! My personal favorite was the girl, hung by her hair, aerial dancing and flowing through the stage. Great activity for a date night. They have drinks and small bites to eat. Park in the Atlantic station deck. The food is overpriced and not good. I'd recommend grabbing food outside. But having drinks and watching the show while a bit buzzed will add more flavor to your experience. There are great deals available, check your corporate company or the website!! read more

So to start this is my first Cirque du Soleil show and it was very good! I went with my boyfriend and his family who are all very much into Cirque du Soleil and have seen every show in the last 10 years. Volta, showing in a tent in Atlantic Station, was a great first show! We attended a 1:30pm show on a Sunday. It was a good amount of people. The show started promptly. Seats are a bit tight but I was surrounded by people I'm comfortable with elbowing so be aware. As for the show itself, I really appreciated the athleticism and art of it all. Very beautifully done. I think some of the solo acts were a bit too abstract specifically the clown solo act who struggled to convey his mimes and storyline but overall it was a great show and I would definitely recommend checking it out while it's here! read more

I've been to all the Cirque shows under the Grand Chapiteau since 2012, but this one was absolutely not on par with the rest of the Cirque shows prior. Food and drinks here are extremely overpriced. I'd recommend eating about the other Atlantic Station offerings before or after the show. Parking and location of the show had been in the same spot. The drinks here are okay. For this show, you can pick your mixers for your cocktails. Thankfully, we purchased tickets during a sale, so we didn't pay the full price for seats in the first section. Volta had missing acts during this showing and overall, this show felt rushed and shorter than previous Cirque shows. 2 stars for Meh - I've Experienced Better. read more

I was highly disappointed with this years show. The ONLY good 2 tricks were the solo bmx guy spinning on his bike & the girl lifted by her hair. I was very annoyed with the "wow guy", who talked gibberish. He was clearly a filler for this show because they did not have much set up; he came 2 times & each time was roughly 10 minutes of the show and he did NO tricks, just talked gibberish & acted silly. I did not pay to see a guy talk gibberish for 20 minutes of the show. Their trampoline jumping was mot impressive nor were the hoops they jumped through. I wish I could get my money back because we paid to sit in the second row & we were not impressed for 90% of the show :( read more

Cirque du so lame! Totally not worth it. The seats are "kid size" - we felt like sardines in a cold sauna. The tent was leaking on us. They started having "technical difficulties " 30mins in; the show stopped and they made us exit the tent. When the show resumed, the performers kept falling because the stage was wet. And they cut the show early because the tent wouldn't stop leaking and the stage kept getting wet. If the producers can't afford a decent tent, they should cancel the show and not put the performers in jeopardy. #iwantmymoneyback read more

I've been a fan of Cirque since watching Kurios with my best friend and husband. Being in the tent to watch the show is always so much fun and bring back that nostalgia of going to the circus as a kid. There's no bad seat in the entire house. Even though it was the middle of winter, the tent was cozy and warm, even in the lounge. We passed on the beer, popcorn and souvenirs, but there is a lot of a lot of really cool things to buy. However, if you do end up purchasing something it will be quite pricey. The tent is set up so that it's stadium seating allowing you to see the action from the front to the back. If there happens to be a bad spot, the stage turns, so that the performers are always on the go. Even though the views were good, the seats were a bit uncomfortable and hard. It was also tight, so I hope you like your neighbors. Before the show began, Mr. Wow (the mime), came out and interacted with the audience and looked for a volunteer to hula hoop on stage. The show began with acrobatics doing some jump roping (which was pretty tame), yo-yo performance, and break dancing to set up the story line. The overall storyline was a little hard to follow and understand until we looked into the souvenir book. We loved the Free Spirits who did the best two person unicyclist act you could imagine. Then there were a series of high-flying ring gymnastics, 80's themed trampolines, and a wild hair-acrobat. All of the acts after the initial one were awesome, high-octane and chalked full of extremely impressive acrobatics. There were only two slip-ups by the performers, one by a ring-jumper who built up the crowd for a second chance, and the second by the wonderful Mr. Wow who played off the blunder as a joke in itself. Mr. Wow was definitely our favorite of the show, the mime/comedy act was amazing and his reaction to the audience was so genuine. I could have sat through 2 hours of just him and have been extremely entertained. All of the performances aside, the story was plain and did not seem to have much bearing on the acrobatics, unlike Kurios. The music was fantastic, and we were duped into thinking that it was a pre-recorded track, until the acrobats had to go off script and the orchestra had to improvise to extend their pieces. The sets were interesting for the acrobatics, with the trampolines and the finale, and the costumes were interesting enough to be eye-catching without distracting from the action. After the two hours of the show, we left feeling extremely satisfied from seeing exciting tricks. I tried to since convince hubster to pick up unicycling. read more

My friend and I did NOT enjoy this show. We have been to several Cirque shows over the years - while this was not the worst one, it was down there. We just thought it wasn't as exciting as shows we have seen before. Some of the acts just didn't seem to fit best with Cirque show. I'm sorry but I just don't want to see a bike trick set as part of the experience, for example. Also, we though the story was quite a let down. We got to the end and said wait, that's it?! A lot of disappointment. The best part for me was actually the comedian. Though my friend didn't even like him that much. The venue had alot of empty seats when we went. Not sure if that was just a function of the fact that the show is in town for so long. read more

Cirque du So, ummmmmm My family and I attended the 5pm, December 22nd Cirque show next to Atlantic Station. We were all very excited as we've seen the Beatles Love show several times in Vegas and always came away amazed that the acrobats could even be human. We arrived in the cold, driving rain to wait in a line, in the rain, because there was only a 20' x 20' tent utilized to check baggage, scan tickets, etc. Not a great beginning, but we still were optimistic. We heard about the ridiculously priced concessions ($8 popcorn, etc) so planned on having dinner after the show. We were able to enter the "big top" around 4:30pm to get situated for the show. The beginning was a bit goofy with a gold sequined entertainer having fun with the audience. Not my thing, but many were enjoying the pre-show show. The show started with Mr. WOW displaying several entertainers performing juggling, dancing and double dutch. I felt as if, with a few beers, I could have danced better than the dancer, and the juggler, did I just spend $550 on 4 tickets (including the ludicrous service fee) to see juggling? Anyway, the show was underwhelming and we got the sense that something just wasn't right. There was an acrobat on roller skates that face planted hard on the stage, NOT part of the show. There was also a significant amount of communication going on between the acrobats / entertainers that did not seem appropriate. A chandelier was lowered at center stage, an acrobat grabbed onto it, spun around a couple times, and walked off the stage. A few minutes later they announced there was a delay in the show and they would resume as soon as possible. After hearing that announcement a few times, the announcer advised all to vacate the "big top". So, I'm thinking, maybe they just didn't sell enough concessions, let's interrupt the show, get these morons out into the concession area and rack up some more high margin concession sales, wooohoooo!! Well, about 30 minutes later, they let us back in. The show continued to be a head scratcher. I have no idea what relevance to a Cirque show a skit with washing machines in it has, but I went along with it. The comedy was slapstick, anyone under 6 years old really dug it. Most of the adults in the room had the old WTF look on their faces. A short time later they actually announced the 25 minute intermission. Huh? We were just in the concession area for 30 minutes, not 15 minutes before! The show didn't resume for 35 minutes, the crowd was getting restless. There was clapping in unison, the crowd actually started a Wave just to entertain ourselves. I'm attaching a video of the Wave at my $550 Cirque show, but it may not upload. Trust me, it was one of the highlights of the show. This was one dedicated Wave crowd! Ok, so, no unicycle act, no chandelier act, most of the artists were having a lot of conversations back and forth, there was an awful lot of stage hands wiping down the stage. Hey, wait, it was raining. It then became obvious the "technical difficulties" were actually their leaky tent allowing rain to puddle on the stage. If I was performing on that slick stage, I'd be a little reluctant as well. There was an act in which a woman was hoisted into the air by her hair, that was more along the lines of our expectations. My 9 year old son was really looking forward to the BMX riders. Well, got about 1-1/2 minutes of BMX riding and noticed just about every rider refusing to ride. The stage hands, cast members, everyone, was trying feverishly to dry the stage. Shortly after that time everyone came out and the show was over. So, in a total of 3 hours, we got maybe 10 minutes of solid entertainment. We were so completely disappointed. Especially since we live 90 minutes from the venue. I contacted customer service for Cirque. Even though the show was a complete disaster from start to finish, due wholly to the fact their equipment could not keep rain from entering the facility, they are refusing to refund any portion of our tickets. I was advised they will make a note on my account and we could see any Cirque show we would like, at any time. I asked if we could see Cirque du Soleil's Beatle's Love Show in Vegas. To which the man said, "Oh, no, not that one." "You can only see one of the "Big Top" shows. "Where are those?", I asked. "Austin, Chicago, Miami, Washington..." Well isn't that swell. I completely understand when circumstances present themselves resulting in disasters. In that case, your customers should be made whole. In my opinion, Cirque should proactively refund every ticket for that night's performance. However, at the very least, they should refund those that request it. In addition, the fact they provided absolutely no information regarding the issues was inexcusable. Unfortunately I will never give the "Big Top" Cirque another chance. read more

I saw Zolta at Atlantic Station. The performers are always top notch. The venue is beyond terrible and I will not be going back if they do not change. There was no ventilation in the tent and they packed everyone in with tiny seats. The seats are made for a small child and they show management knows it. I don't really consider myself a Cirque person but I really enjoyed this show. I bought my husband tickets for our anniversary because he LOVES cirque and has seen tons of shows (usually in Vegas). This was only my second show and I found it something to recommend. The cast was a delight and the audience was really fun. There are definitely some cheesy acts but most of the performances are absolutely stunning. We had really good seats in the third row and they did not disappoint. The cast was so close that you could feel their effort and talent. My favorite act was by far the trampoline wall show that is mentioned in other reviews. It was remarkable. Parking as always is easy at Atlantic Station - you do have to pay. The only crappy thing is that they really need better beer/drink selections. GA has too many craft brews for the terrible options at the bar. read more

Went and saw Volta last night and it was very entertaining. The performers were great. Parking was easy, drinks are really expensive, 14$ for a white claw knockoff. Cmon CDS that was cray. Also if you plan on going during the fall and winter months bring a jacket/ sweatshirt. I was happy I did last night. It was chilly. This was the most unprofessional Cirque performance my wife and I have ever seen. Every act was very simplistic compared to a normal Cirque performance, yet the performers messed up their routines multiple times per act. We were very disappointed and are huge Cirque fans. I would not recommend seeing Volta--there isn't the normal awe associated with a Cirque show. read more

First time going to Cirque du Soleil. The show was intense! It was well worth the price of admission.... 30% off tickets made an even greater value. The price of concessions were quite expensive, more than going to a Braves game lol. But we had the good fortune of having a concierge getting into the Nicolas Feiulette Lounge (2 for 1) All beverages and snacks were included in the price. Saves $$ The one downside was the seating... worse than being on an airplane in coach. But given that it's a touring show under a tent I guess you can't expect too much. I would recommend going. The overall performance was shabby compared to the 3 other Cirque du Soleil performances I've seen over the yrs. I felt like I was watching the trainees. The theme was disjointed & made no sense. The costumes were extremely lackluster. There were several good moves. But overall, the performances were like I said... like watching trainees. I also think they're running out of ideas. And they keep the best performers in Vegas or take them to really big major areas. They think they can get away with 2nd hand work down here in Georgia, I guess. I've loved every Cirque show I've seen since 2004, some more than others, but not this one. First of all I will never again buy the 5pm showing when there is an 8pm showing after. If it runs over due to a late start, they will cut acts, but they won't tell you that they cut acts. On Sunday 11/17, the 5 pm show started VERY late, due to "technical difficulties". By my estimation, they cut perhaps as many as four acts from the show. There was no Acro Lamp. There was no acrobatic Ladder. There was no Hair suspension (which is used on all the show promotional material). There was no aerial act. There was no Hoop act. I'm not sure *all* of these acts were still in rotation for our showing, but some of them certainly were. There was an awkward place in the first act where the lights were doing something sort of vaguely interesting, but nothing at all happened on the stage, for about 5-7 minutes. No explanation. There was a 25 minute intermission, and then the second act ended in about 20 minutes, it was already after 7pm with crowd for the 8 pm show starting to arrive. It was crazy. I was stunned that it was over, and I had not yet seen anything you would consider a "headliner" act. $250 that I really can ill-afford for my birthday, wasted, and no offer to the crowd of a new ticket or some sort of compensation at all. Worst. Experience. Ever. We took our family last night as a Christmas gift and the VOLTA team could not even complete the performance! It started and then the lights came on to announce it would be delayed and they didn't know for how long. Then they continued for a bit and announced intermission. 30 minutes later, in the cold rainy weather, they began the second half but could only perform half - no explanation, no apologies, no offers to make it up to the audience. If they could not have pulled it off due to weather or whatever, they should have called it. Instead they took our money for not even half of a show. Terribly disappointing. This is an expensive ticket - and not only is it SO different than all others I've been to, they failed to perform. I cannot tell you how disappointed we are to have spent our well-earned money on this show. I would not recommend it AT ALL. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This was my first time going to Cirque du Soleil, so I have no other show to compare it to. However, I thought it was all PHENOMENAL. These people must spend an enormous amount of time practicing. This definitely went beyond my expectations. I worried that I would get bored, (I get bored very easily after an hour) but I realized very soon that this would keep my attention. I lost track of time as the show was completely mesmerizing. The people who leave reviews seem to do so because they had a negative thought about the show. I can say with 100% certainty that everyone around me absolutely loved it. As long as you get there early, parking is a breeze. It wasn't fun pulling out, but the people directing the traffic made it easier to get out. It did take around 5 minutes to get out of the parking garage, but it is to be expected when there's a big event. I have nothing bad to say, this was a fantastic experience and I would definitely go to Cirque du Soleil again. Side note: The food is pretty expensive, but it is to be expected. It's pretty much the same price as getting food at a movie theater. I suggest eating before, I put a clementine in my purse and ate during intermission. It would be good to eat before or plan ahead. read more

I went to the 5 pm show on Sunday December 22nd. This was a gift for my family of 5.I paid a hefty amount for the tickets. The show was a disaster. We were being dripped on as the tent was leaking. They stopped the show and cleared the entire arena. Then restarted while not being able to complete the performances. Stopped again for an intermission. They were unable to do much more and shut the entire show down. No explanation, and no offer of refund or tickets to another show. This is an extremely poor way to treat your customers. Very disappointing for my entire family. read more

Although we did not get to experience the amazing show due to technical difficulties and what seemed to be water on the stage from the 2 days of rain (Altogether about an hour and 15 minutes of waiting) Cirque du Soleil stepped up and without hesitation refunded our money. In today's world that is exceptional. Most always a large organization will look to find every reason not to do the right thing but Cirque du Soliel did not do this. They acknowledged and owned the issue and refunded our money graciously. Way to go and thank you for making this difficult. We will definitely return for the next show. read more

I went to OVO years ago and it was amazing. Was not at all impressed with VOLTA. Poor storyline, most of the acts were executed well but were very random. Oh, and apparently the tent isn't waterproof ! There was a 30 minute interruption due to a mechanical issue so they had to skip one of the acts. There were many mistakes due to water on the stage, the actors were unprofessional when they were standing towards the back of the stage thinking no one could see them, and the bike act was canceled due to water on the stage as well. Very disappointed they didn't just cancel it when they had the interruption so we could just get our money back. So disappointed in them and doubt I'll be going back. read more

The story line was lacking, disorganized and boring. The music was subpar. Many of the clientele were white trash types that has been drinking all night (likely smoking pot too from the smell) and laughed at anything and everything. Most of the bathrooms were standard portable toilets. The three larger portable toilets with sinks were filthy and lacked the cleanliness of a high school stadium's bathroom. The booze was cheap brands with top of the line pricing for the low-life, drinking like fish. Be ready to sit on someone's lap if you go. You will be crammed in like sardines. It really is a fire hazard. Don't waste your money on this low budget circus for low IQ plebeian types. Evidently, the booze is there to help forget the lacking show, uncomfortable seating arrangements and outdoor toilets. The joke was on us to pay the kind of money we did for this type of environment. Atlanta really needs to clean up its entertainment act. Drunks galore in torn fishnet stockings barely wearing anything. Some folks must have picked up their dates in the redlight district while buying "edibles". Volta is a dud. read more
