I chose a great night to chill here at Kat's Cafe, Tuesday's is comedy night, where local comedians will have you laughing, every Tuesday night, this has been going on for the last 18 years. I will definitely come again. The staff was friendly and the pizza wasn't too bad. Don't be surprised if you look up and see a celebrity sitting enjoying the show just like you.

Kat's Cafe is a fun and vibrant place. Open Mic night is a game-changer. Patrons sing along if they know the song. The band and MC are phenomenal. Lots of industry professionals show up, take the mic and show out. A great time. Drinks are excellent!

Kat's Cafe is an intimate spot with warm and welcoming customers and employees i.e the vibes/ambience here is EVERYTHING! We came here on a Thursday night and had the best time! One should note that quality live music is definitely a thing here. Additionally, if you have talent, you can surely bless the stage. Drinks are excellent and food portions are great. Most importantly it's all very affordable! I had the Sing that Song drink and the Cajun Shrimp pizza. The Cajun Shrimp pizza was fairly tasty, however, it wasn't given much Cajun per se. Overall, my vote would be for everyone to go that loves a good time and loves live music.

I always have a great time when I visit. The vibe is always feel like I'm at a family reunion. Our waiter was great and made sure we were good and the drinks kept coming. I didn't take a picture of my chocolate drink, but it was delicious!! Be aware that the menu is limited. I appreciate how amazing local artists are able to showcase their gifts with us. I will continue to be a loyal customer at Kat's.I love everything about this place.

The food, I tried the chicken fajita quesadilla, and it was perfectly done, from the amount of fajitas in the quesadilla, how well seasoned it was and how well it tasted with the chicken, sour cream and salsa, it was very flavorful. For the quesadilla, the cost was typical, it was $13.99 and came with salsa and sour cream. The service was okay, it took a while for the quesadilla to come out. The ambiance, it is a hole in the wall type of place for up and coming talent. They host open mic each Thursday and that was what I was attending.

Great vibe!! 10/10 this place is super chill and intimate. I can for an artist showcase on thanksgiving eve and I will definitely be back. The chicken Caesar wrap and drinks were amazing and Blue (the bartender) was an amazing host and one of the performers.

Singers are great but that DAMN photographer. Taking a zillion photos of the same scene and that awful flash. Some people have sensitivity to flash that causes migraines and seizures.

I'm everything live music amongst local neighborhoods & finally made my way to here to who's name says it all. Lack of a star for the horrible bar service, as I & another patron sat at the bar for over 15 minutes without a single hello or nod our way. Once the young lady came over we bombarded her with our orders. I ended up having a liquid meal as there's nothing for the V-Crew, minus a bland looking salad. With the heavy plant based options nowadays, it should be an easy note (get it) to add an item for the V-Crew on the slim menu as it is. There's a $10 Cover Door, $5 for Valet & the restrooms needed to be tidied up. Overall a quaint, hole in the wall (good way) music cafe located down the steps/hill from the Piedmont Avenue address...you really have to look for the hanging signage. I'll be back & will eat beforehand.

Although this review is new, best believe I've been coming here for YEARS!!! The vibe is always dope and the live bands/entertainment have always consistently been top notch. Pro Tip: Ask for the Lady Sings The Blues martini. (You're welcome). From the menu to the music to the patrons this will easily become your new go to if you're new to the area and you will desire to return if you're simply visiting. We love you Kat!!

Ask the Community - Kat's Cafe

    What's that parking like?

    Valet parking

    Can 18+ come inside?

    Yes

What are Saturday nights like? Surprising my hubby with a date and wanted to stop here. Thanks!

The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a bit cramped and you may bump into a few folks, but it is festive. If you get there in early, you can find free parking on the street, if not, you can valet park in the parking lot.

    Are desserts/coffee offered here?

No, although a slice of cheese cake or a signature cupcake would be nice.

    Drinks? Is there good wine?

I've had their cocktails, which are tasty. I'm sure you can't go wrong with a glass of wine. It's worth a try!!

Has anyone been here on a Wednesday night? If so, how was it?

Alexus, I went two weeks ago on a Wednesday. It was great, Eva performed, great night for live music.

It was a bit cold inside the venue so I liked being able to go back to my car for a jacket, which most other venues do not allow. They have a parking garage that ranges from $10-25, which is probably the best bet as parking is limited in this area. Overall, I think this is a great venue. It was clean, easy to grab a drink, and incredible to get so close to the artist performing. It really elevates the performance and whole experience. The building decor and design in itself is a treat--in an artsy and historical style--but the sound system in that hall was on fire! The line outside wasn't terrible, and the staff and security were all very respectful and laid back. No drama. Fair warning, they let me in with my mini-backpack but tossed any snacks I had in it. No biggie! So, if you find yourself touring around Centennial Park and want to catch a show, it's not too hard. The main floor allows for the party to really happen, but only for those who can endure standing for hours at a time as it's standing only. There's a floor level for VIPs, which I bet was totally worth the money. We sat up in the balcony, so we could sit and see it all. Whew! The seats are very snug! I'm only 5'3", and it was a squeeze for my legs. My 6'1" hubby said he was ok, but his legs were open the entire show to fit. On that note, be prepared for LOTS of stairs! Drinks were tasty and made well. My pizza wasn't exceptional in any way, but it was edible for bar food. And really, the bartenders were all friendly and patient. Just a cool night altogether. Great experience for a small-venue show on a date, with girlfriends, or a big group of fans alike! We saw James Blake, and the only issue I had was the bright flashing lights. I had to squint by the end of the show. But it didn't seem to bother the other thousand in the hall.

Center Stage has a really cool atmosphere that works especially well for an event like boxing. It feels intimate enough that you're close to everything happening, but still has the professional feel you want for a major media event. From a media perspective, I appreciated being able to experience the venue on back-to-back days and see how well the space transitioned between Media Day and the weigh-ins. The staff was welcoming and professional, and everything felt organized throughout both visits. With fighters, trainers, promoters, photographers, videographers, media, and guests all moving around, organization can make a huge difference, and the venue handled the activity well. I also really liked the character of the theater itself. It doesn't feel like a generic event space--it has its own personality and creates a great backdrop for photos and video, especially during something as energetic as a boxing weigh-in. One tip I would definitely give anyone planning to visit is to check the parking apps before paying at the kiosks. I was able to find parking for $21 for the entire day through an app, while paying directly through the parking kiosk was $14 for only three hours. If you're going to be at Center Stage for several hours, especially for an event, using a parking app can save you quite a bit of money and keep you from having to worry about your time running out. Being there for the Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott Media Day and weigh-ins gave me the opportunity to experience Center Stage Theater in a completely different way, and I came away impressed. Two days, two different events, and a great experience both times. Definitely a venue I would be happy to return to for another boxing, entertainment, or media event.

As I was doing some research about this venue, I was particularly interested in the parking…read moresituation. From what I read, there were a few different options. The venue has a parking lot directly under the property. Other options mentioned include an office building across the street and a hotel next door. As we approached the venue on W. Peachtree street, I saw a parking attendant waving a flag encouraging patrons to use the venue parking. I followed his encouragement and took that sharp left down the ramp. As my research reported, it was tight and congested. I had to drive down at least three different levels to find an open spot. I paid for my parking at one of the machines positioned around the parking deck. It was the usual; enter your license plate and pay with a credit card. It was fairly reasonable at $20 for 9 hours. I saw a few people waiting and waiting for an elevator that never arrived. Your best bet is to walk up the path that you drove down to get to the theater. When we made it to the top and the front entrance a staff member asked if we were drinking, checked our IDs and placed a bracelet on our wrists. Once we entered, walked past security and through the metal detectors doors, we made it to the lobby area. A full bar was right in front of us and we joined the fast moving line. They had about 5 - 7 beer options. I ordered the Scofflaw POG Basement IPA and Wifey ordered the Yuengling lager. We scooped up our beers and went to find our seats. There were staff members everywhere to help. We found our seats and settled in for the show. This is a mid-sized venue and there is not a bad seat in the house. We thoroughly enjoyed the almost 2 hour show and the artist sounded great. As the show wrapped up we headed to the restroom where we both had to stand in a line, but it was fine and the bathrooms were clean. Wifey had a longer line than I did, of course. While waiting I was able to snap a few more pics. We headed back to the parking lot which took us about a half hour to reach the street level. Overall, we had a very good experience at Center Stage and would return for another show. 3.5 - 4 Rating

The ambiance and overall mood of the restaurant were beautiful--definitely a nice setting for a girls' night out. Unfortunately, our server really took away from what could have been an even better experience. She was incredibly cold and sterile throughout the entire evening. It was noticeable enough that it became hard to ignore. That said, the food was GOOD. I ordered the $30 burger, and it was every bit as delicious as I hoped it would be. I couldn't even finish it because my appetite said "girl, that's enough" , but even a day or two later I was still thinking about how good that burger was! I also had two $30 French 95s, which definitely caught me off guard. I would have appreciated knowing there was an upcharge before ordering the second one. That said, I also take some responsibility for not asking more questions before ordering. Despite the service, my girlfriends and I still managed to have a great time, and that says a lot. I'm just not sure I'd return. The food and atmosphere were enjoyable, but when you're spending this kind of money, the service should match the experience.
