We found a baby bird that had fallen out of a nest that was burrowed in our building. I had made calls to numerous wild life facilities and nobody could help us reunite the injured baby to its mom. At the end of our work day we had seen a truck with a very large ladder pull into the parking lot. I approached Chris and asked if he was in a hurry and he said no, what can I help you with. I told him what had happened and without a blink of an eye.. he pulled his tuck up and took his ladder down and compassionately placed the baby with its mom. I am having an issue with squirrels taking up residence in my attic. I tried to solve the problem myself and conducted a lot of research in the process. I was unsuccessful in my efforts, so I called a couple of wildlife businesses to come out and assess the situation. Chris, the owner, was very responsive and came out himself. He surveyed my house with me explaining the behavior and habits of these critters. You can tell he grew up close to nature and knows these animals well. Rather than offer a standard solution for a set price, he pointed out different things that could be done and their effectiveness. He never tried to do a sales job on me. In conversation, I let him know I was building a new home in North Georgia, He proactively offered advice on what my builder needs to do to squirrel proof it so I won't have future issues. Chris Portra and his team did a terrific job in eliminating squirrels from my attic in 2015 and replacing our gutters and leaf guards. Some minor issues developed over the past few years and I called in August 2020, to see if he could come out and repair them. He came out within a day and not only fixed everything but did additional work he saw needed done. No charges as as he said everything was covered by his warranty. We used this company to get rid of our rodents, and they did what they promised. Recently, we hired them to remove the insulation in the attic damaged by the rodents and replace with new. On the day they were to come out, they canceled. After trying to reach them for a month, Chris, finally returned my husband's calls and said he was short handed and would be able to do it within10 days. i hired these guys to take care of the rat problem i have in my home. they started the job but didn't finish & now i'm back at square #1 - rats in my crawlspace & needing to find a company to seal up my home. they had sealed up some of the areas using wire & concrete but the rats chewed through the wire & got in. in another area, they dug under the little bit of concrete they'd laid. guy said he'd be back but never did. i left 5 friendly voicemails asking for them to help me fix the problem but they're not returning my calls. i'm out a lot of money & still have my initial problem. not cool y'all. i'm a single mom with 2 kids in college & can't afford this. read more

We had a bat that decided to take residence under our deck and leave unhealthy feces on the patio area where our children play.
