If you are tired of that mega-musak-store (you know the one, that rhymes with Guitar Center?), then…read moreswing by and spend a few moments supporting a local shop that is worth the oddball entrance. I've been playing gee-tar for quite a while, so I have most of my gadgets and gear, but as many musicians know, there is always room for more crap. Well not this time. Why you ask? Well over the years I've accumulated quite a few soft-cases for guitars, all of which were quickly replaced with hard-cases immediately to protect my babies. Well soft-cases aren't really in high demand, and they were filling up needed space in my casa, so I decided to donate them. On my way to Goodwill, I remembered that Jireh Music has those crappy commercials that make you remember their name. Instead of blindly donating my cases, I decided to get some big bucks for 'em. $2.00. Yep. TWO DOLLARS. Now this may sound like a bad thing through type, but $2.00 is still more than I had going into the store... Or so I thought. Checking our their current stash, I found another amp that I just HAAAAAAD to have, so I came out around $200 in the hole, OR DID I? Great guys working the shop with a lot of gear packed into a small space. It's not Guitar Center, but that's the good part... It's not Guitar Center. I'll be back to donate one thing and pick up another in the near future.

The staff is always helpful, but not overbearing. I've purchased two guitars, an amp and a cello…read morefrom them. We also rented a viola. They also have competitive pricing on their items.

My 11-year-old grandson started 30-minute weekly piano lessons with Miss Grace in June, and I've…read morebeen very pleased with his progress. By his third class, she moved him beyond books with note letters so he could start reading music by sight and sound. She also sings do, re, mi as he plays, which really helps him connect the notes with their sounds. It's a lot to learn, but he's already reading notes, even without much home practice. I've recently started having him practice 15 minutes, three times a week at home. He fusses because he'd rather play video games, but I'm making him practice anyway, and his fluency, confidence, and coordination are showing noticeable improvement. Miss Grace is friendly, patient, and encouraging, and she makes learning piano both fun and effective. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful piano teacher!

Buyer Beware! Store Manager Whitney (heavy set woman that…read moresits at the front deck) was offensively rude when I asked to reschedule the last lesson of a 4-Lesson, 1-hour package that I purchased online. We had already completed 3 of the 4 lessons and I was at least a week out from any future lesson, which would have fallen on Thanksgiving week. Also, I had NOT selected my own appointment dates because of a system issue when placing my online order, so I had basically been confirming appointments week after week. (Scam Alert!) Whitney first told me that we were on a reoccurring payment schedule, where I corrected her explaining that I had purchased (paid in full) for a 4-package lesson deal at $318. She stated that the system didn't work like that and that I could only reschedule an appointment prior to our last appointment. I explained I was a week out from the last appointment and she said that I could come again this same week, but that the system wouldn't allow her to reschedule for the date I needed. l then asked what needed to be done and she said that I would loose that appointment and the money that we paid for it. I stated I didn't understand and this is were she got extremely rude and unprofessional, repeatedly saying, "I don't know what to tell you!, "It is in the terms and conditions when purchasing!" (it is NOT) and stating, "There is nothing that can be done!" She then tried to suggest that I was yelling at her, which I immediately shut down and told her that being assertive about my money, and the business at hand, was not yelling. Another employee tried suggesting that she ask the instructor if they would be willing to change the appointment and she refused, given him the evil eye. (I appreciate him trying to be reasonable and trying to help.) After realizing I was not going to get a feasible resolution through the manager, I approached the instructor myself and they happily rescheduled us for the week after Thanksgiving, without hesitation. Two minutes after I left the store I started getting cancellation and reschedule dates, via email. This concerns me because my reschedule date was changed in the system to the wrong date (two days from the last appointment and NOT the week after Thanksgiving). Whitney also immediately called me, apologizing profusely and admitting fault on her and her employees end. What I don't trust is why the rescheduled date had to be done the way it was, and I have a feeling that my fight with this Company is not over, especially after reading so many reviews that included what I have experienced. In preparation, I have pulled supporting documentation from the website FAQs (ex. You can reschedule up to 24 hours before the an appointment without penalty), I have my original purchase receipt, Screenshot of the website issue at the time of my purchase, and screenshots of the years of similar negative Google reviews. Lastly, I am sharing this experience and proof with my contacts within the Gwinnett County School System, including but not limited to other Parents, Band Directors, Principals, and The Superintendent's Office. We should not be advertising this kind of customer service and poor business practice to ANYONE, especially with the reoccurring payment scam when one-time advertised packages have been purchased. Oh, and if needed I will be looping in my Fox 5 Investigate contacts and the Better Business Bureau. I will not be spending another dime with this Company, which is unfortunate because the two instructors that we have worked with have been amazing. We will have to see if they offer tutoring services outside of this organization.

It's a beautiful instrument. They bake on the finish rather than the cheaper method, which supposedly is the better way to go And cost the same amount of money so there's no built-in obsolescence when you buy a brand new instrument they put the worst finish on those and they don't bake it normally because they want you to buy a new instrument every 10 or 20 years. Another thing to know is Auld instruments are best to purchase and get refinished, because the brass is brand new and not garbage brass like the new instruments are made. If you do have an old French horn or instrument take it and compare it with brand new ones at the store and you'll find that your old instrument sounds much better than the new ones do - it's amazing! The reason being is the brass is old and new and not recycled and made from old brass it's made from brand new brass that was never used before and recycled. It's the recycled brass. It's no good. It doesn't resonate anymore or as well as the new old brass.!!! Purchase an old instrument and have it made like new again and we sure will be very happy with that or use your old instrument yourself that you've already had for so many years!
