The worst experience dealing with a body shop ever. Incompetent management, only response was yelling and blaming everyone else.

Missing Property! I've never been treated as rudely as I just was by Atlantic auto body (fire rd, EHT). I dropped my truck off for service on Monday and everyone was as nice as could be. I went to pick it up yesterday and noticed that the truck had been detailed inside, and they did a nice job especially because it was unexpected, but there was something missing from the truck. Please keep in mind that this item has zero monetary value but has great sentimental value to me. Something I keep in my cup holder, along with a funeral prayer card that I keep in my visor. So I went back into the shop to tell the manager (whose name i won't mention). I said I didn't realize you guys detail the cars to which he said they always do and that it may have gotten sucked up by the vacuum. (But the gum wrapper that was left behind didn't get sucked up by the vacuum.) He took me in the back to check both of their shopvacs. No luck. There was a trash can that looked like the shopvacs may have been emptied into and he said that he didn't want to breathe all of the dust in, but would have the guys go through it in the morning (meaning this morning). I said "ok" and left a little upset/distraught. Looking back I should've went through the trashcan myself. I wasn't thinking straight and they were about to close. I went out to the truck to look a little deeper, no luck. I called back at 9:30 this morning to see if they had any luck. He said he had the guys dump the can and they could't find it and he did all he could. I said "This is not ok.." then he cut me off and saying "You know what's not ok? You were very rude to me yesterday. I was nice and tried to help you. I provided you with A1 service and told you we were going to detail your car. There's a big sign out front that says we're not responsible for lost property. If it mentions that much to you then you should have taken it with you. I've never seen a grown man act like this before. And you know what? This conversation is over!" Then hung up on me. I'll be the first to admit that I should have taken this item with me. Did I expect items to go missing from my car at a "reputable" body shop? Absolutely not. I'll live with that. But I won't live with being treated the way Atlantic Auto Body treated me. So you know what I'll take with me now? My business.. and I'll bring it to another establishment that cares about customer service AND their belongings. read more

I made the mistake of taking my vehicle to Atlantic Auto Body for repair after a crash. This shop is understaffed, and they do not know anything about customer service. They have no service advisors. When calling, you're lucky to get either the Office Manager Kathleen or the General Manager Bill. There were several times that I called when neither were in, and I would only speak to a mechanic. Repairs were not explained to me, either prior to or upon completion. Getting updates from the shop was very difficult. As stated, there were times when no one there could give an update. I complained to Bill about this, and he asked how often I would like updates. I told him every 2 days. His reply was "I'm not going to do that, I'll call you once a week on Fridays". He has no customer service skills at all, and he is argumentative. He also did not call every Friday. I hope never to have to deal with him again. My vehicle was moved to a different facility for suspension repair, and I was not notified. The entire process was done without notifying me of what was happening. Dealing with the aftermath of a crash is difficult enough without the company that I am paying to help recover from it being so opaque and argumentative. We reached a point where he was ready to stop repairs and have my car towed out, rather than deal with an unhappy customer. I did not disagree, but he had already been paid by my insurance provider, and they would not allow this. Bill called me the Thursday before the week that I picked up the vehicle to let me know that it might be ready by Friday, but that he wanted time to detail it inside and out. I told him we could wait until next week. He did not call on Friday, which he previously had said he would do weekly. No call on Monday. I had to call them on Tuesday to get status, when I learned they had sent the final paperwork to the insurer on Tuesday. When I picked up the car, it was not detailed. In fact, they had left a used Wawa cup in my car. I don't know what gives them the nerve to drink in a customer's vehicle or to treat it like a trash can. When I pointed out to Bill that it was not detailed like he had said, his response was "I don't owe that to you". He has no customer service skills, and on top of that, he is a liar. In business, fulfilling your promises to customers can be a make or break customer satisfaction. Finally, they have the audacity to illegally charge a credit card surcharge - as if body repair is not profitable enough. They do not have the signage at the point-of-entry that the state of New Jersey requires, so this is not legal. I try not to patronize businesses that think this is appropriate, and I did not have that information when I dropped off the vehicle after hours. They have been reported to New Jersey Consumer Affairs for this. I asked one of the mechanics who Bill's boss was. He did not know, but he said they were owned by Cherry Hill Dodge, which is where the vehicle had been taken for suspension work. I called and left a message for their General Manager, but he did not return my call. Between my wife and me, our last 7 vehicles have been Dodge/Jeep/Ram products. We lease, so on average we get a new vehicle every year-and-a-half. Cherry Hill Dodge will definitely not get our business, and we're making sure that the New Jersey Jeep Club is aware of what we've gone through with this shop. read more

Just got my car back that was fixed by another auto body place. It kinda reminded me that I should have left a review on this place months ago. I went to take my car for repair at atlantic auto body in eht and the manager told me that it couldn't service my car because and I quote "it's to old" and yes the manager told me this. I recently had some repair work done at this autobody shop and I cannot express how disappointed I was, please read this and all of the other one star reviews and understand there is a reason for so many poor reviews. Not only did they overcharge me for the work, but their customer service was terrible. The Manager Bill was extremely unprofessional and threatened me with multiple lawsuits when I called to get updates on my repair. I had to constantly call to get my problem addressed/updates. The car sat in the yard for almost a month without being worked on and without any update being provided. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless this is your only option. They did a good job on the actual repairs but expect it to take a very long time and be a very painful experience. read more

He said it was the battery and if I brought it there they would charge me for a new battery. Again, maybe it is the battery but they were so rude I couldn't even discuss it with them. And it worked fine before I left it there, seems like a pretty big coincidence that the fob battery dies while in their possession. It's probably an easy fix. I've been waiting for my vehicle to be repaired since December. It is now February. Two weeks after they received my car, Jennifer told me they still hadn't received the part. I called every week since then to get an update. Every week Bob and Jennifer had contradicting stories. Blaming COVID, shipping delays, and speaking on personal issues of their employees as an excuse for the company's incompetence. They are highly unprofessional and inadequate. They took over two months to return our car FALSELY blaming the manufacturer for the issues despite no other auto repair shops having this issue. This cost us hundreds of dollars for the extra rental then they lied and said they would cover some of the rental to reimburse us for the added costs then claimed they never said that and refused to offer anything at time of payment. When we began inquiring about the repairs they THREATENED to force us to wait longer which is a disgusting behavior for any buisness. We were recommended to go here by our insurance company and will be changing insurance over this horrible experience. read more

What a nice experience! They have so much business and there's a wait time before they get to your car; but it's worth it. My story: My 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK was less than one month new and I didn't make the first payment yet. Some knucklehead driving a POS '04 foreign road hazard, in addition to only caring $1/day liability auto insurance, decided to quickly and carelessly switch from his right lane into the left lane where I was about to make a legal left turn. He told the local police that: "[he] wasn't paying attention." And it cost him! His '04 POS lay in a pile of twisted metal on the highway, totaled. His rear-end encounter, at about 15-25 mph with my Jeep, resulted in a mildly bent rear fender, muffler & some pipe banged up; and most remarkably: the mounted spare tire that exploded in his face as he rear-ended me. The Jeep drove away! The cost was under $2,000 in damages. Now, at Atlantic Autobody, they assessed the damage along with my insurance company; and we made arrangements to return when the parts came in and a service date. As promised, Atlantic received my Jeep on the date prearranged. The Jeep was returned as promised and anticipated without any additional damage found. Wow! When I went to pick up the Jeep, it looked better than the day that I bought it. Atlantic cleaned it up bumper to bumper, including the interior. The parts were genuine Chrysler-Jeep and Goodyear tire. Nevertheless, I am challenged to keep my Jeep this clean! lol Thank you Andy, office staff, and the professional body person that took care of my Jeep as if he or she was fixing his own. 5 Stars........thank you, Frank! read more

Worst experience with an auto body shop I have ever had ! My car was involved in an accident and a nine day job turned into over a month. The staff would lie about the repair status and never communicate anything with you. They took so long they had to pay for my rental car and then never told me when my car was ready. The rental car company called me to tell me my car was ready and since i didn't pick up, I had to pay for the rental car. My repairs were not made with Nissan parts and is not reassembled correctly. A new part was suppose to be ordered in December and here it is two months later with no word from them. read more

Much better than the shop my ins co first suggested. That other shop delayed even looking at the minor damage on my car from November to January, then in Jan said I would have to leave car with them for at least 2 and probably 3-4 weeks. They wanted to rent me a car for that time. I told them that is ridiculous, and went over to Atlantic Auto Body, who looked at the car that day, and said I could keep the car while they order the parts. Less than 2 weeks later they called and said they had the parts, so I took it in and they did the repair (including perfect matching paint) in about 1 week, for the cost stated on the insurance estimate. Absolutely no complaints here. They were friendly and courteous, whereas the other shop acted like they couldn't care less about me, especially if I didn't want to rent a car from them while they took there time. My car was hit in a parking lot on both sides and, Atlantic Auto Body was suggested to me from a friend. I am more than pleased at the work done to my GMC Truck. Not only did they make sure the insurance company paid for all the damage to the Truck, but they literally treated the vehicle as if it was their own. I am leaving a poor review not due to the work performed on my vehicle, but due to poor customer service I felt the need to leave a review. I Don't usually leave reviews but when service is really bad I feel the need to warn other money-paying customers so they can save their time and hard earned money and take it somewhere where their business is actually appreciated. I called to ask for a copy of a receipt. seems simple enough right. The lady art the font desk explained they haven't received final payment from my insurance (Geico) but they did get the initial estimated repair costs paid by me out of pocket ($3,718.17). She had me speak with the manager as he (William Miller) is the only one with access to previous transactions. Miller got on the phone and explained the same thing the front desk lady did. As I tried to explain to Miller he wasn't answering my question, he got mad and got really ignorant over the phone. I tried to explain I wasn't upset I just think he was misunderstood in what I was asking for. Instead of rectifying the issue Miller doubled down and threatened to take my car (which I'd love to see him try) because he hasn't got final payment from Geico. Geico still owing their part has nothing to do with me. I paid all due amounts and YOU released my car to me. If I swiped my card a transaction was made. I was simply asking for a receipt of said transaction. If Miller was professional and took the time out to actually listen to the customer that just gave you close to $4K, maybe then he would have understood what was being asked. Miller hung up the phone on me without ever addressing my issue. I was extremely disappointed and encourage you all to take your business elsewhere where customers are treated with respect and dignity. Brittany at the front desk was awesome and has the customer service skills necessary to be the manager. Her "manager" can learn a thing or two from her. I plan to try and post a copy of said phone call as it was recorded. Also when I tried to get contact info for his superiors he said there's no one above him. He refused to give info on his higher-ups which usually is an indicator that they are being shady. read more

Worst auto body shop around!!! They will have your car for weeks and never fix it. My car remained in their lot for 2 weeks before they even brought it in to fix and they never finished the job The staff is ignorant and I was told to "fix it myself then" if I didn't like it. Bob and Andy were extremely professional from the estimate to the final delivery. They answered all of our questions and made the process run as smoothly as it possibly could. Their work was amazing and we are very, very, very picky when it comes to our cars. Hope not to need you again, but if we do need a shop that we can trust we now know where to go.
