Terrible experience at Sport Hyundai. I purchased a used car and it took them 8 months to deliver the title of the vehicle. I incurred thousands of dollars in fines and penalties for driving with expired temporary plates. Truly a disaster and liars from the management down to the sales people. I got a engine replacement with this dealership and got my car back within a couple days but 15-30 minutes driving the car after picking it up from the dealership the transmission began to slip gears which it has never done before this engine replacement. I took it back and told them the error and how it has never done this before. The supervisor of the service for my vehicle stated that they didn't do anything with the transmission which you need to even preform an engine replacement. It'll be 6,000 for them to fix their own mistake. If you need service go to another dealership or a personally mechanic. I know I will. read more

It's rare that you decide on a car salesman before deciding on a car. However, after watching Jimmy (The Greek) Dounoulis, from Sport Hyundai interact with my girlfriend, I decided that if I ever traded in my truck, I would get a Hyundai from Jimmy. This is based her experience with Jimmy. She wanted to upgrade to a Hyundai with a larger trunk. Jimmy showed her all the models, and quoted the cargo space. I also liked the fact that he talked to her and not me. She bought her second Kona from him. So, when it came time for me to retire my truck, I went to Jimmy to talk about getting an SUV. I had pretty much decided on a 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid. Jimmy went over the trims available and the extras you could get with each. I decided on the Limited trim. Sport Hyundai gave me a good price for my truck. Jimmy arranged for a black Santa Fe to be delivered from another dealer. It came in the next day and was beautifully detailed when I picked it up. Jimmy spent the next hour going over every control on the car. We talked about my preferences and he programmed them in. I drove away with the car of my dreams. As a disable veteran suffering with PTSD, I require reliable transportation to move around, and for work related purposes. On July 8th, I took my vehicle to this business for repairs, the issues were and continue to be, loss of acceleration, and power while driving, violent shaking and RPM surges while on idle or parked. Sport Hyundai kept my vehicle for almost 30 days, in which they gave me little to no updates, while disregarding my request for a loaner, or rental vehicle. The staff was very condescending, rude and short each and every time I reached out for updates, always telling me not yet, call again tomorrow. Finally, on August 8th, they called me to pick up the vehicle, I was very excited to finally drive again, since I had to rely on both public transportation(due to my PTSD, I have a hard time in crowds) and friends to move around. On the 8th, around 10AM, I paid sports Hyundai $2,280.32 in full, trusting their expertise and professionalism, and believing that this ordeal was behind me. Unfortunately, after driving the vehicle less than 12 miles, it broke down again, lost all power in the middle of traffic, displaying every issue I had taken the car there for. This happened twice, during busy traffic hours, which did not help at all with my anxiety levels, and frustration since they had just given me a vehicle that they clearly had not road tested at all. I was then forced to call upon a tow truck, at my own expense since this business did not even have the courtesy to help me with their own mistake and incompetency. Today, I have taken the vehicle back for the 3rd time, and they simply keep charging me for further repairs that have nothing to do with the original issue, and continue to move the goal post. They refuse to acknowledge their lack of ethics, and morals and I feel extremely used and taken advantage of. I purchased an off lease vehicle in September. My rain sensing wipers did not work from day one. Doing research, I thought that it might be a sensor. I took it in for service and after waiting about an hour the service writer comes and asked me "what did you do to the windshield?" Puzzled i replied "nothing" He proceeded to show me a small mark in the windshield that was affecting the sensor. Luckily I took a picture of the car they day that I bought it, and it shows the imperfection. I called my salesman and he told me to bring the car back so his "glass guy" can look at it. His glass guy told me that it wasn't the windshield but the sensor. I scheduled another appointment to have the sensor fixed under warranty only to be told that it was indeed the glass. I called my salesman only to find out that he retired. I was contacted by his replacement and I relayed the whole story about the windshield. He asked me to bring the car back in to once again have the mysterious "glass guy" inspect it again. He also told me that it looked like the casing of the mirror inside was not flush with the windshield. I also noticed condensation in my rear back up light which he would replace under warranty. The car was brought back for a third time. They "forgot" to order the light and was once again told that it was the windshield and that it would be $1700 to replace, i told the service rep that i couldn't afford it and that I brought it back at the request of Nick the salesman. The service writer replied that I would have to take that up with my salesman and that he was just the service writer. I texted my new salesman and never got a reply. Phone calls are not returned either. I just dropped my car for an oil change to my regular mechanic and he told me that the car is going to need brakes as well. I guess that they don't inspect and service the cars before putting them on the lot to sell. I've learned a very expensive lesson. I will never go back to this dealership. Save your money and go someplace else. There are definitely more reputable Hyundai Dealerships if you're willing to drive a bit. read more

I went to Sport Hyundai on September 9th to lease an SUV, sales person Jimmy took me around and showed me some 2025 Kona and Tucson. I was interested on Tucson but didn't come close with the leasing price. I was dealing with sales manager Lou as well, after talking to Lou he showed me a 2024 Tucson SEL and he want for $2500 down and $349/ Monthly lease for 10,000 Miles / year. I asked $2500 down and $320/ Month lease with 12,000 mile. Lou said it is not able to meet my price and I left the showroom after almost 2 hours later. on my way back Jimmy called me and said Lou agreed to give me 12,000 mile per year. I said, let me think about and get back to him. On Tuesday September 10th I send and email to Jimmy and Lou with 2 Options. Option 1. $2000 down, $349/ Month lease with 12,000 Mile Option 2. $2500 Down, $335/ Month lease with 12,000 Mile. Lou called me after he got the email and said stop by in the dealer ship and he will work it out. I did advised him that do not disappoint me when I go there because i need to drive almost an hour to get there. I went to see him on Wednesday September 11th and he changed all his words and he said he want $2500 down, $369/ Month lease for 12,000 Mile. I jut walked away. Lou messaged me on 14th and asking am I still looking for Car? I replied to him that " he is not shame to message me after all that? he replied" he just want to check with me and put something together for me" I replied" is he really think I am going back to Him? stop messaging me because I did not need his Car. it was a horrible experiences and I do not recommend anyone to go there. read more

I decided to wait before I wrote this review, in hopes that I might get an apology phone call from customer service or the service department... But that didn't happen. Arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early, just because that's the way I am and I knew the car needed to cool down before the service could be done. After 45 minutes of waiting, the lies began... First, I was told the mechanic that diagnosed the problem has to fix it! Then I asked where he was, on his way from where I asked they don't know. Waited another half an hour and said I need to go, how much longer is this gonna take? They told me another mechanic will work on it and I would be done within the half an hour. And that didn't happen, I then was approached by the most unprofessional supervisors who continued to give me stories... As in the car needs another hour and a half after sitting for an hour and a half to cool down a little bit more,. At this point, I knew that there was only one mechanic, many cars and many people in the waiting room... What makes me any different. I told him I needed to leave. I was already late, and management raise their voice and behave like it was my fault. Please know that there were other people dealing with the same situation at the same time, voices were being raised everywhere. No one was getting anything done!! So after almost 2 hours of waiting, my work under warranty was not done. I am going to have to look for another Hyundai dealer, not only for service but to purchase the vehicle that I was already neg . I am sorry for the salesman who had spent so much time with me and explaining a new vehicle that I wanted to purchase, I am still in all with the Hyundai product and warranty... Prior to Sport Hyundai, we had spoken to two separate dealerships. Both offered terrible deals on the model and color of car we were interested in. A new model had close to 2,000 miles on it, and a dealership wasn't willing to go below MRSP. Again, 2,000 miles from demo driving. ‍ Later in the evening we decided to stop by Sport Hyundai and check out other colors they had on their lot. I ended up preferring another color and was greeted by John Dunne in the sales department. He was really helpful with all our questions, and helped us reached the original price we were desiring and what was fair for us the consumer and the dealership. Towards the end, even though it was really late...they still managed to clean the car and put gas in it for us. Both my fiancé and I agree that we would go back and deal with John Dunne again. It was a pleasant experience in comparison to the two other dealerships, for sure! read more

Went here to use the Charge Point for my EV on 11/24 at 11pm. Cops were called, I was told the manager called and said no charging was allowed at this time. The situation could have been avoidable, if you can't charge after a certain time frame , your chargers should be turned off or locked, I've seen it done at other dealerships. read more

Dealt with them for two vehicles leased at the same time in 2020. The staff and management are rude and obnoxious. We have a signed lease residual for end of lease and they are charging 1800 dollars (not including doc fees) over what was agreed upon. And they said "we are for profit business go somewhere else if you don't like it" Finance guys yelled at me to get out if I don't like it. Hyundai corporate told me they should not be charging additional fees on top of the contracted residual value and to submit a complaint. Which I am doing. FISHY BUSINESS. BEWARE. I never write reviews. But I had to for this one. I cannot express to you, the reader, how incompetent this dealership is. Bruce in service is the rudest, most careless person when it comes to servicing cars. Took it there for a TPMS sensor, oil change and a software upgrade that Hyundai recommended. We get a call an hour later saying that we were done. Odd because we requested so many things. We arrive there, they tell us that they "have no idea"why Hyundai sent us a notice about a software update and that the tires were a pound or two light in air and they reset the tpms. We get a mile down the road, and the tpms sensor starts flashing again. The only proof we have of them doing an oil change is the 40 dollar receipt we have. We Take it to another mechanic, we were told that one tpms sensor was bad and needed to be ordered. Guess what. No tire light after it was replaced. Oh and the software update? Being done by another Hyundai dealership twice the distance away. I promise you, if you want incompetent, trash service by trash people that could care less about their job, then take your car here. I'd rather take my car to any other dealership to do work on my car. They are terrible. Absolutely terrible. I will continue to bash them to anyone I know, and I will find any review site I can to tell people how bad they are at their job. read more

This place is very shady . As you know at this time cars are far hard to find and this place told me that they had the model that I was looking for on the lot . The salesperson Rick said the car was there and we could set up a test drive so I set one up . Rick even texted me the night before I came down to let me know that everything was good to go . so I drive over an hour to get there and to my surprise Rick was not there so I had to talk to someone else . As of the sky is looking up a car he says oh we sold this car already and it was sold 3 days ago . I said well your boy Rick texted me last night and said the car was there and ready to be test driven . It was at that time I realized that I was given the classic bait and switch .now this guy is going through his computer trying to find the car that I want blah blah blah and then he says well there's a guy that works here that has one as a demo we can look at that . So we go walking through a dirt lot to go look at this guy's demo which is all dirty inside and it just was not what I wanted to do .then on top of that the salesman says that there's an item called pulse that they add aftermarket to the car which makes your brake lights pulse real quick when you apply the brake pedal . He said that it costs $1,000 extra . And I said so basically you're telling me you're going to charge me $1,000 for something that you decided to put on a car that's not required by law and that I didn't ask for I said if you can put it on they can take it off and he said no it has to go with the car . So I basically left knowing that these clowns got one over on me but I did not give them a dime for anything even though they promised they could get me a car to try later and they wouldn't charge me to hold it . Juan Davila was very gracious and assisted me by drilling two small holes for my front license plate because I purchased my vehicle in PA and they don't require a front plate and therefore sell their vehicles without holes. A very dishonest and shady dealership. I also work in a dealership, I understand the times we are in and also practices that are right and wrong. These guys give dealerships a very bad name. They continuously market different prices online than in store, they tack on "accessories" prices but can never explain what they are for, they always seem in a rush and never want to give you time to drive or even look at a vehicle, they dismiss actual concerns, they constantly threw out remarks on being able to afford the vehicles I was in for, they even tried to take a quote I got from them back before leaving the dealership. Walked in to dealership, greeted improperly. Asked about a promotion advertised on their website. Salesperson had no idea what I was talking about. Asked to see the Elantras available and was walked outside to look at the cars on the lot. Looked up a specific stock # from the promo on the site, gave it to the guy, and was left outside on the lot while he checked. He did not come back within 10 minutes so I just got in my car and drove away. Then, went to the website, filled out and sent the online form for the specific car listed in the promotion. Received an email the next day advising the still listed car is unavailable. They asked if I had another choice. So I replied with another stock # that was listed on the promotion, and guess what, that car had been miraculously sold last night. The old bait and switch lives! Now I just got a phone call and an email at 8pm requesting a call back or reply to their concierge service. Told them what they could do with their cars!!! I went into Sport Hyundai Dodge for my Elantra's 90,00 mile tune up. I scheduled an appointment about a week ahead of time, brought the car in, left for the day, came back in the late afternoon, and everything was all taken care of. John, in service, had given me a quote ahead of time and the actual price was exactly what he said it was going to be (plus a small extra charge for patching up a leaky tire). Egg Harbor is about 35 minutes away from where I live but the experience was worth the trip. My car now runs a lot smoother than it did before and I have total peace of mind that my Hyundai isn't going to blow up while I'm driving it. read more

I feel they scammed me. My engine light came on so I had it read immediately. It pulled two codes. I intended to get my car checked on my next day off, though the engine light went off. On Father's Day, I finished my shift and my car started with no issue. I was heading out again that night and suddenly my car wouldn't start. After many attempts, it started. I shifted into reverse with no issue but the car wouldn't move. I shifted into drive and again it wouldn't move. I called Sport Hyundai to set up an appt that they scheduled for a week later. I did cal Hyundai Corporation and was told I needed the dealership to diagnose the issue in order to fix at no cost to me if it was an issue related to the recall. Otherwise, I would have went elsewhere within that week. Sport Hyundai called at the end of the day of my appt to state they couldn't find anything wrong with my car so I went and picked it up. Not an hour goes by and my car did exactly as before. As soon as I got it started, I took it right back to the dealership. They had my car 8 more days and claimed it never acted up. At this point, I was left without much choice because they couldn't, or wouldn't, fix it and now I couldn't rely on it but had to have a dealership fix it if it was the recall. Finances are tight so I couldn't even go elsewhere. I felt I had no choice but to trade for a car that now I'll be paying more for and for another 3 years as opposed to paying mine off in less than a year. Two days after I traded my car, they apparently fixed it and made available for sale. I've been in tears at how unethical they are. This has made me dislike the car I got from them even more because it was under distress. read more

As a former employee of Sport Hyundai Dodge I can tell you that they have some very talented employees. The problems they have come from the top! I worked there for Millennium co. I worked there for 7 years as their used car tech. It was the best job I had in the over 40 years in the business. The problems started for me when they sold to Markus D. He takes advantage of his employees. He promised to keep everybody on at the pay rate we were getting, But soon after cut pay to everyone. The reason for the low morale of the employees. My pay went down every week since the change in management. A lot of the good people who worked there had to leave to get compensated for their work. Me included. I was making half of my regular pay. So I left and found a job at an independent shop making the pay I deserve and not having to fight for it. I feel bad for the techs. getting bad reviews. It is not their fault. You get what you pay for. And Marcus does not like to pay people what they are worth. I would never recommend anyone to go there to work, and feel like when he gets done remodeling he will get rid of the rest of the original employees and bring in his new team. I feel sorry for the loyal employees that are carrying his weight. If he treats his employees like this, I can't imagine how he feels about his customers. The service here is dismal. I called 2 days before to set up a appointment for an oil change for 1:00pm I showed up at 12:30 just to make sure everything would be fine. I was told it should not take that long and he would get me out of there fast. Little did I know fast means 3 hours for an oil change.what is the point of having an appointment scheduled if your not going to get serviced at the time you reserved? As I sat outside on the bench waiting for my car to get serviced, I even noticed people showing up and getting serviced before my car, and i was there 2 hours before them!
