Rather than downloading the mobile application for American Airlines--the airline I was flying with--I visited their website to check in early and took a screenshot of my boarding pass. Since I only had a carry-on bag, this allowed me to head straight to TSA security instead of waiting to see an agent. As for my airport experience, TSA was not crowded at all with it being Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Even with that, I always dread going through security because of the possibility of being screened heavily, but all went smoothly! The only things I removed from my body were my jacket, backpack, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Half Marathon medal placing each item inside either the bin, or my jacket pocket. After a light screening of my Garmin Instinct GPS watch on my wrist, I was well on my way to locate the gate within the terminal, which was not a hard find. While en route to the gate, the first thing I admired in the terminal was a public art piece from the 'GuitarMania' project. It featured a blue and white decorative guitar headstock wall display with the word 'Cleveland' in script. Even though I was not hungry, I took notice of some food and snack options within the terminal. These included The Pub, Dunkin', Currito, Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, Bruegger's Bagels, Bar Symon, and Auntie Anne's. Furthermore, I was relieved to find postcards to add to my travel collection. They were pricey, as most seem to be now. The airport shops I found that sold postcards were the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Airport Store and Hudson. Hudson also carried fan apparel for college sports teams in Cleveland and throughout Ohio. I was also able to buy keychains and magnets for my coworkers at Hudson, right outside the TSA screening area. Oh my God! The lingering scent of Auntie Anne's pretzels lured me back to the area once I located my gate, where I caved and purchased bite-sized cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon instead! This Cinnabon was literally right next to Auntie Anne's, which did terrible things to my willpower. Being inside an airport always reminds me how people cannot walk in a straight line because there is always someone walking in your direction. I always find myself maneuvering around like the spaceship in the Asteroids arcade game, avoiding collisions. This airport visit was no different, except for me overhearing "Love Me Two Times" by The Doors playing in the background. The American Airlines gate I flew out of appeared professional, with a very well-maintained seating area compared to other airlines I have flown out of. I rarely encounter boarding areas with clean seats and no trash left behind, which is hard to unsee. Within certain airline gates, there were workstations as well as seats with charging outlets, giving me the chance to charge my cell phone before boarding my flight. Although the flight back to Chicago was delayed, I was updated via email and Google on the flight's status, and thankfully it was held up for no longer than an hour. Even with the delay, the boarding process was very organized and professional, which is all I can ask for. There are plenty of great restaurants and lounges to choose from, along with plenty of grab and goes. Hudson News offers a great array of books, snack, souvenirs and other stuff if you happen to forget things at home. Depending on the airline the gate agents are friendly and eager to help when you get delayed or have questions. Parking isn't half bad either.

Several Cleveland-area companies base their planes here and this airport serves as the headquarters to fractional provider Flight Options. CGF has its challenges. Runway, taxiway, and ramp alike are a bumpy experience avoiding cracks and pot holes. Keeping the same clear of snow during winter is also something to be desired. There is a part-time, private tower. The airport is generally bordered by Highland, Richmond, White, and Bishop Roads. Most business takes place toward the middle of the property on Curtiss Wright Parkway. NOTE: There are no scheduled flights, airlines, or passenger terminals here.

The app will not re-calculate when you pick up a passenger, I had the map going round in circles because it didn't know where I was. Long road trips take many more hours than needed, had a trip take 2.45 hrs longer than it should because it sent me through a different state to come back to the final destination, most long trips have the same problem, passengers get very upset for the time taken for even local trips. The app will always have you pick up a ride or drop off on the left, even on a busy road facing traffic. You need to have the phone connected to power all the time you use Lyft, without it will go from 100% to 0% in 2 hours. Get insults like "Keep your phone out of Airplane mode", "Connection issues" when there are many other drivers waiting for rides in the same area.

They were able to accommodate me for my early morning pick up from the hotel to the airport. Tony was my driver and he was amazing. Car was immaculate, service impeccable. My entire group of friends booked Frontier for our flight to Tampa so I reluctantly did too. I have a traumatic history with Frontier as they canceled my flight 4 years ago to Phoenix last minute and I missed a friend's Bachelorette party. Then they made me through heck to get my money back! They nickel and dime EVERYTHING and they give nothing out for free, not even an in-flight snack or soft drinks! You even have to pay for your CARRY-ON!! And you better not be an ounce over 40 pounds on your checked bag or you'll get charged a hefty oversized fee. Fortunately, my suitcase was less than 30 pounds but my friend had to stuff some stuff in my bag since hers was 1 pound over and they were going to charge her! As for the flight itself, we left late because they apparently miscounted the number of passengers on their books. I wasn't expecting in-flight entertainment but at least put in outlets to charge devices so we can watch our own entertainment! The take off was so bumpy and I got so queezy that I nearly cried. And some might be happy about this, but I was disappointed to see that the seats did not have the ability to lean back a bit. I am giving Frontier two stars instead of just one because I feel sorry for the staff as they seem worn out but still are kind. And I didn't die on my flight, so that's a plus!

Either way the whole process takes 12 hours Delta had absolutely no communication about delay after delay after delay, leaving passengers frustrated and uninformed. Check-in was a disaster-endless lines with no organization or updates. We were told to wait in one line, then had to wait in another line, to be told to go to another line. Then we were stuck on a plane for over 4.5 hours for what was supposed to be a 1-hour flight. To make matters worse, there was only one working bathroom onboard for all passengers. Delta was clearly not prepared for the weather conditions. Instead of planning appropriately, we had to fly past our destination (Pittsburgh) to Cleveland to refuel , and Cleveland airport had no idea we were even coming. Complete chaos. We were told we could deplane in Cleveland, but the plane wouldn't wait for anyone to reboard-leaving passengers stuck between risking being stranded or staying in miserable conditions. For all of this? One small drink and a 70-calorie bag of SunChips. That's what Delta thinks is acceptable customer care during a multi-hour ordeal. Totally unacceptable. I expect far better from a major airline.

They called back 20 minutes later to confirm. All good. Then the next day I call an hour before they are supposed to be there, still all good. Then they don't show. They are 15 minutes late. I call and the dispatcher says he will be there in 5 minutes. 20 minutes pass without word. I call and she says he will be there right away. Then the cab driver calls to say he can't find me. The dispatcher says she can't help me and I can only give the cab driver my address so many times. They claimed I gave them the wrong area but I'm not from there so I wouldn't have even been able to guess at another place to send the cab. I ended up being an hour late for work and all i heard from the driver and the dispatcher were excuses and rudeness. I will never take this company again.

She also said she would investigate and call me right back. I found other means of transportation in the mean time. 45 mins later the cab driver called me to let me know he was outside my house. i was no longer there cause i had no idea anyone was still coming. my suggestion: Get it together. Make sure your employees know what they are doing. i even double checked my phone just to make sure i did dial the correct # twice. its not me.

My son and his girlfriend drove to Cleveland from Chicago this past weekend to attend a concert…read more After the concert they were unable to locate an Uber or Lyft and began walking the 1 hr and 45 min trip back to their hotel. Unaware of their surroundings and a bit nervous with nearly drained phone batteries, I finally became aware of the situation from them after not hearing of their safe arrival to the hotel. At 2am I began calling local cab companies in Cleveland with zero success until A-1 shuttle picked up the phone! I was so distraught I never got the dispatchers name, but Christopher, the driver scooped them up at 2:20am and drove them 20 minutes back to their hotel. THANK YOU A-1 Shuttle for your availability on such short notice, efforts to ease my mind and ultimately saving the kids from what could have become a dire situation! #GratefulThankfulBlessed
