Horrible horrible service layered with excuses So I needed a cab to pick me up slightly outside of Cleveland. I called the night before and gave them my exact address. They called back 20 minutes later to confirm. All good. Then the next day I call an hour before they are supposed to be there, still all good. Then they don't show. They are 15 minutes late. I call and the dispatcher says he will be there in 5 minutes. 20 minutes pass without word. I call and she says he will be there right away. Then the cab driver calls to say he can't find me. The dispatcher says she can't help me and I can only give the cab driver my address so many times. They claimed I gave them the wrong area but I'm not from there so I wouldn't have even been able to guess at another place to send the cab. I ended up being an hour late for work and all i heard from the driver and the dispatcher were excuses and rudeness. I will never take this company again. read more

ive had some great cab rides and some not so great cab rides. However ive never had a taxi company tell me i never called to ask for a ride, when i RE dialed their # in my phone from 1 hour previous. The receptionist was very nice, took all my info, phone #, address, destination. I was told 20-30 mins would be my wait time. I figured they may have been a bit busy so i waited an hour then called back. The nice receptionist (same one) said she never got a call from my location. She also said she would investigate and call me right back. I found other means of transportation in the mean time. 45 mins later the cab driver called me to let me know he was outside my house. i was no longer there cause i had no idea anyone was still coming. my suggestion: Get it together. Make sure your employees know what they are doing. i even double checked my phone just to make sure i did dial the correct # twice. its not me. read more

8/4/2012 4:30pm - called United Cab because they were closest to the Walmart on Brookpark Road which is where we needed a pickup. Guy said cab would be there in 20 min. - We went outside when we saw a United Cab minivan pull up and told him we were his fare. He shrugged and said he didn't know anything about it and that he was at Walmart to do some shopping (evidently on company time?) and went into Walmart with a guy who had pulled up in an Airport Taxi car. Called cab company back to tell them of this rudeness and ask what's up, and the guy said oh sorry I don't know why they did that, I can have another cab there ---- in 20 minutes!!! By this time, frustrated, I said to my son that we may as well take the bus! While waiting for the bus (15 minutes after the call to the cab company) they call and say they're just now "on the way" - I said nevermind, we were taking the bus that was evidently more dependable than United Cab. We were HOME an hour....... and someone called my phone to ask if we still needed that cab. Seriously??? This company and Americab are now on a DO NOT CALL list for demonstrating an utter lack of customer service. Take RTA. At least that's on a schedule. read more

Unprofessional and abusive language. Today I called a cab for my mother who needed to get to the airport after unsuccessfully finding available Lyft or Uber drivers. After booking the trip, my mother received a call from the driver who berated her about booking a trip to the airport on short notice on a holiday. He said "I don't give a shit about Uber or Lyft" and also said "what is wrong with you going to the airport in a "f***ing blizzard!" I called the manager to complain, he responded by laughing and saying not to worry the driver was on his way. The driver never showed up. Terrible....don't use these guys. We needed a cab to and from our hotel for New Year's 2012 and decided to pre order it the night before and even pre-paid with tip online both ways. We also called to confirm the order and they said all was good. NYE comes and so does our pick up time and they never show. We wait 15 minute past pick up before we call and when we did they said oh he is on his way....after being late 45 minutes they finally show. Then the driver was mad I pre-paid because apparently they get stiffed on the tip by the company but he drops us off where we need to be. On the pick up we called 45 minutes before and the guy shows up when he said. When he arrives I told him I pre paid so he isn't caught off guard and he said "I don't take pre pays" and drives off before we can get in!!! I called and they said they'd refund the money 3 times but never did so I filed a dispute with paypal (thats who the pre-pay is through) and it took 60 days to get my money back because they ignored it and paypal ruled in my favor because they never responded to it. They never even bothered to to respond to my BBB complaint. They have another bad review here for a reason.....DO NOT USE THEM!!! You may end up regretting it. read more

Flagged down a cab outside of the casino. The driver was very nice, and knew exactly where we needed to go. His Kia minivan was very clean and did not smell like smoke. He drove normally and took a direct route. Very pleased read more

We scheduled a taxi the night before an early flight to take us to the airport. Fifteen minutes after our scheduled pick-up time that morning, we called to let them know no one had shown up yet. Whoever answered just gave us some guy's cell phone number who never answered or ever bothered to call us back. After calling the company back, they finally found someone who could bring us to the airport, a full hour after our originally scheduled time. We did actually make our flight, miraculously. In the future, I'd rather just pay for long term parking than deal with this hassle and stress. I would recommend calling anyone else before you trust these people with something important like driving you to the airport. read more

Got sifted by this so called cab company. I booked a cab for 5 am. to the airport. They never showed up. At 5:05 I called them and was informed that no cab would be provided. We had to run to catch our flight. A week later it cost me $ 76 parking fees. thanks united cab. I'll send you the bill. Never ever use this no good company! read more

Dispatch screwed up the time i requested. Since i was headed to the airport, i couldnt keep waiting after i gave them a second chance and still no show. The driver finally called 30 minutes late to say he was on the way and i said dont bother. I went on the United Cab website and reserved a cab. Not only did the taxi never show, but I never received a phone call or any word from them and when I called their number there was no answer (around 1:30 am). They still billed my credit card for the cab despite never showing up and I had to go through the bank to dispute the charge. Needless to say I'll never go through this company again and I'd advise against anyone else using this company who takes no accountability for their business or their obligations. read more

Worst cab ever. DO NOT USE. Requested a cab at 4:00 for a 9:30 pickup. Cab never showed up. I spent an hour on the phone with these people trying to get a cab at 10:00 and they told me no one would be there for another hour. I was very disappointed as they ruined my special night for a friend who is getting married. Never trust them. Try any other cab in Cleveland first trust me. United Cab offers an online reservation service which allows you to book the date and time you need a cab as well as your pick-up and drop-off locations. You then pay online ahead of time and are offered a 20% discount and you can even add tip so you don't have to worry about saving cash or another payment method later. This seemed like a fantastic idea when we were looking to responsibly get home from a friends wedding celebration the other weekend. We were wrong. They basically take your money and never schedule you a pick-up. We had to call the compnay after our cab was an hour late and our reservation wasn't even in the queue. Then when the cab came the driver basically told us that it's a scam. That the company has you pay ahead online then does not actually schedule a driver for the pick-up. He also said that he's likely not going to get paid as the owner will just keep the money. We really thought this was a fantastic idea at first, we were being responsible and working out the details ahead of time so that we wouldn't have to scramble later. Instead we still had to call to get a pick-up and lucky we did or we'd be out the fare that we had paid ahead! Also -we registered my complaint online witht he company and it's been well over a week and I've not received a resopnse. Total bummer that left a sour tast in our mouths. read more
