Wonderful wonderful service! The food was great and the kind lady at the front counter was very friendly! We had a great conversation right up until the food came out so it felt like no time at all. Also, I like to order a bagel with just lox (nothing else) and this is the first and only place I've found that charges for the lox by its weight and it was very affordable and reasonable especially in comparison with some other shops. My favorite bagel place in the Middletown-Atlantic Highlands area. I drive 5 miles,instead of to the around the corner places, to get my bagel there. They make the best vegetable cream cheese too. I love how close they are to the harbor. Great place early in the morning to enjoy their hazelnut coffee and fresh bagel while watching the sunrise and fishing boats leave the docks. I am extremely picky about my bagels. I have to say there are a lot of good places in the Middleton/Red Bank area, but I like Atlantic Bagels the most. And Scott knows I like them a little bit extra well done; he always manages to have the perfect everything waiting for me. We called in an order for 3 Pork Roll Egg and Cheese sandwiches and 1 Bacon Egg and Cheese Wrap. We thought this simple enough but my sister warned me that they are notorious for screwing up orders. Sure enough we discover they got it wrong. We received 2 PE&C and 2 BE&C all on rolls. What made it worse was how unresponsive they were when we pointed out the order was wrong. First they didn't act on it, and when they finally did address it they put our order behind everyone else that had come in. During our time waiting we observed 2 other orders that were wrong or incomplete. At least the sandwiches were good when we got them. read more

Had an order for five. Paid for everything short a sandwich. It's a mistake no problem but when emails and phone calls go unanswered for a month it's bad business. Expect them to be a bit later on your order than you anticipate. They get busy and get behind on orders. This is a good place to get a diner style sandwich (eggs slightly greasy, large portions, big strips of crispy bacon). More of a to-go place than a place to sit in though there are tables and chairs. read more

I've been living in this town 15 years now and today I experienced the worse form of RACISM from the owner of Atlantic bagel in the presence of my young son. I have paid a blind eye to the way they treat me and never have eye contact with me, but today my Autistic son accidently spilled his drink and they were belligerent and said they did want business from our people, I am probably the only brown customer they serve and they've been cold and unwilling to provide service and just did not know how to refuse. My mother said she had a similar experience there. What is this town coming to, we run a gas station and treat everyone with respect. I HOPE people will not tolerate this form of prejudice read more

Best bagels in the area. The bagels are soft and chewy on the inside with slight crispiness on the outside. I recently discovered the lox spread and it was really good (if you like lox). It was a perfect balance of lox and cream cheese. This is my new favorite bagel place. They also have coupons in the Monmouth county flyers, so that's good. read more

I don't understand how hard it is to properly fill a bagel order, but this place got something wrong on each one of the bagels I ordered. I ordered a super cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. A toasted bagel with butter on the side, and a whole wheat bagel with bacon egg and cheese. They gave me a regular raisin bagel with cream cheese, they didn't toast my butter bagel. And they put my bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. read more
