Pros: I loved the open view kitchen into the seating area design. It makes the experience personable not to mention you can see how organized and clean the kitchen is. I received friendly and lighthearted service from the man who took my order. One thing that I thought was pretty cool and have never seen before was a "color wheel" for coffee. It was a visual way to show your preferences on what your preferences are on coffee appearance once the milk is added. My chicken salad sandwich was delicious, not too filling and made on very soft enjoyable bread. Room for improvement: Maybe because I stopped in at 1 pm on a Wednesday I felt like the seating area was poorly maintained. The floor really needed to be swept so it actually felt like of dirty sitting there eatting. There were a handful of people spread out with their laptops etc. One person was actively taking a call so it felt like you at work with them. Another had a small dog that she was carrying around people eatting while the leash/harness laid on the floor near her table. I'm all for dogs being allowed to be in eateries but the whole sit in experience felt dirty for me (especially based on the price I paid) and wouldn't be something I'd repeat. As soon as i walked in I gasped. They have a full kitchen, several baked goods, coffee and so much more. The barista was awesome, attentive, funny, and kind. I got an everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese, and it was absolutely amazing. The bagel was nicely toasted and crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. Their food menu looked amazing. The ambiance was very upscale & cozy. I can't wait to go back and try more! They also had some free baked goods as well. read more

While sad to have found one of my favorite coffee shops had closed their Red Bank location, I think an equally as wonderful one has taken it's spot! Bakers on Broad has the same welcoming feel, big pastry case full of mouthwatering bites and delicious coffee menu that Prep offered, so I am already a happy camper. I got my usual oat milk latte, along with a few pastries that they offered to heat up for me. The latte was served piping hot and perfectly delicious. It got me through a long day of meetings and for that I am eternally grateful. The lemon cookie and apricot (I think) pastry were so delicious and just the sweet treats I needed and you can absolutely tell that so much care and attention was put into every scone, cookie, pastry, and bagel. Just like with Prep, this is a great spot to stop and get some work done, meet a friend for a bite, grab a coffee and go... you name it. Cannot wait to return. read more

This place is so cute. The breads are so good and soft. I bought my mom in for breakfast and she got the salmon avocado toast while I got the bagel egg sandwich. The coffee is just wonderful! Great latte! Can't say enough about the baked goods and eggs to quiche! all wonderful ! I so love the bagels and they make this round bread that is unbelievable! We were visiting Red Bank and stumbled upon Bakers on Broad at lunchtime. We both had the absolutely best turkey sandwich EVER on an amazing croissant. It was so good that we went back for breakfast sandwiches the next day and they did not disappoint! We bought an assortment of baked goods to take home to Pittsburgh, PA and we're still enjoying them. I'd give this leave 10 stars if I could!! read more

In a recent visit to Prep Coffee, I was taken aback by a sign that read "Bakers on Broad." Upon inquiry, I learned that Prep Coffee had closed its doors in early April, and Bakers on Broad had taken over. The bakers from Prep Coffee, including Chef Joe, the head baker, have remained on board. During my visit, I was assured by Steve, one of the owners, that everything is made fresh daily and can be heated in the oven, not a microwave, as some cafes do. I ordered two pour-overs, a croissant, and requested for my milk to be heated. The croissant was heavenly, with its buttery flavor and perfect texture. The gluten was absolutely perfect. As for the coffee, it was sublime. The beans were not overly roasted, resulting in a smooth, rich flavor without any bitterness. While Bakers on Broad doesn't currently have a rewards program, Steve mentioned that they are working on implementing one. Regardless, I plan to visit more often due to the exceptional quality of their baked goods and coffee. read more

Everything is homemade with a limited menu, so it's consistent. The servers are attentive but it gets quite busy around lunchtime. So if you only have an hour, be considerate to let them know and you won't have any problems.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, the place was clean, cozy, and had such a good vibe from the moment we walked in. You can tell they truly care about quality and customer experience. Definitely one of the best new bagel spots around and 100% worth trying. Can't wait to come back and work my way through the whole menu!
