There's also 6ish small tables that fit 2-4 each, and a TV usually playing the morning news. I have been having bagels from this place for a long time, but my sister-in-law is the one that always picks them up. Today I had the pleasure of picking up a bagel order that I had pre-ordered with Joey the owner. The are located in the heart of Redbank and a very cozy spot for a lot of locals. I arrived a little earlier than expected, but when I got there, my order was already ready to go. I have a few good bagel spots by me in Bridgewater, but this place tops them all the bagels have good consistency just the right amount of chew and good flavors . I ordered two dozen bagels, which was just under $38. You definitely get your moneys worth with this place given the size of the bagels in that yummy goodness. I also ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, which was delicious. I finished it before I even got to my destination . Staff was awesome and super friendly . I worked in Manhattan and Brooklyn for 20 years and the best bagel I ever had was here in my town (yes a great Brooklyn bagel may match, but wont surpass these). They are risen and cooked perfectly, nice crust and chewy. Yes they are BUSY. You will have that paid back in freshness. If you get a cold with a cooked order they will give you one first and you wait to be called for the other (do not grab the first one and run out). The coffee is good, the owners are nice people. They are quite large in size compared to other bagel stores which I don't mind since I love bagels. Their bagels are big, doughy on the inside, soft on the outside but with a slight crunch on the bottom. The location has a few tables where you can sit and eat but it's kinda tight. The menu includes a variety of bagel options, spreads and sandwiches. Bagel station keeps the focus on producing delicious bagels and does not offer trendy flavors or dessert like cream cheeses. Cute, clean, little spot conveniently located near the train station. Unfortunately, the bagels are not great. On top of that, my pork roll egg and cheese came with unmelted cheese. The bagels have a larger than usual circumference and a larger center hole.Everything (mostly the pork roll) was stacked towards the center of the bagel, leaving the entire edge without any filling. I hate wasting food, but ended up tossing the other half, knowing full well I just wouldn't be able to eat the rest later. If you have some time to kill waiting for the train, even though a few places are a little farther, I'd advise not coming to Bagel Station and making the extra effort to go elsewhere for a quick bite. A fresh new bagel deli popped up at the end of my Red Bank days. I thought to myself that I'm really going to miss bagels out west after the move. Pork roll is almost nonexistent outside the confines of the garden state You add the both together and you got an amazing breakfast sandwich. My mouth started to water when walking into this Jersey style deli... It's been too long my friend -too long indeed. I knew exactly what I wanted (needed) while gaping at all the deli delights. "A pork roll, egg and cheese on a everything bagel please." --Would you like salt, pepper, ketchup on it? "Of course, thank you!" (I'm thinking we don't get this stuff out in Denver.. This is gonna be a rare treat!) Eric.. Your order is up. Sitting down and unwrapping the tin foil, I quickly paused for a second and took it all in. What we have here is a bagel which had risen to its epic peak in this sea level oxygenated atmosphere and a generous portion of pork roll that has been cooked to perfection. Fried egg & melted cheese has been added to this potpourri of goodness. The trifecta of salt, pepper and ketchup rounds out the flavor. I wish I could take you home with me, but I can't so I just sit here by the window at my native jersey shore and savor it. Food perfection at its' height. Lived around Middletown my whole life and no matter where I go no place compares to Bagel Station. Best bagels hands down. Breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches, bakery items, or just a half dozen of egg everything. The bagels are always fresh and hot and are the largest bagels around. I will say about 3.5 but I will round up just because of the size of their bagels...spoiler alert, they're HUGE. The bagels are big, but they aren't terribly dense which makes they very tasty and enjoyable, they are made in house (you can see that when you walk in). They have a variety of spreads and sandwich options, all are reasonably priced. They have a variety of everything bagels, such as egg everything, whole wheat, etc. I love that! Service, not that great, no one is particularly friendly here. But, really, just order and leave there isn't much to it. Their turkey bacon is a little rubbery for me, so I have started to skip it. If you get an egg and cheese sandwich keep in mind the size of the bagels, they don't skimp on the egg, it just takes that much to cover the thing. My wife and I and my twin girls that are six years old where there today. My poor daughter accidentally spilled her milk on the floor and they pointed to a towel over by the coffee station for us to clean it up. They have very poor customer service. They serve with a frown on their face. The owner argued with me in front of customers when I told her their customer service horrible, while my daughters crying cleaning the milk off the floor The owner was sitting there with a Puss on her face doing nothing.
