Went to antlanticare instead of an urgent care because I thought I would get better and quicker…read morecare. I did not sit long in the waiting room but boy was I wrong about the better care! I went in for pain in my throat and doctor barely examined me and then decided that I don't have strep without doing a strep test(which I later found out from another doctor that is impossible, the only way to know is if they do a swab that takes 5 minutes to come back). And then dumb doctor misdiagnosed my tonsillitis as a bacterial infection in the back of my throat. He then prescribed me a steroid that settled the pain for the duration of the steroid pack, but it turns out that since it wasn't a bacterial infection the steroid took away my pain but only made my tonsillitis worse. When the pack of steroids was over the pain came raging back. I then decided to go see another urgent care who accurately diagnosed me and did a strep test and prescribed me an antibiotic to help. The tonsillitis was made strong from the steroids and lasted almost a month! And to think if I just went to another urgent care I wouldn't have felt complete pain all of August!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Proceed at your own risk!

I asked for something for pain and she told me they don't give out pain meds and I would have to call my family doc. This was a Saturday morning and had to wait til Monday afternoon. This pain was worst then my knee replacement and with that I took Tylenol. I was not drug seeking. I am not a druggy. I was in unbearable pain for 3 days. I hope she gets shingles and see what it's like and be told you can't have anything for pain. The worst place ever and I've been a critical care nurse for over 30 yrs.
