Unfortunately purchased a home from them, not very honest outfit they removed all the HDBaseT…read morenetworking receivers in the house. Their reasoning the receivers were not mounted unlike the transmitters. You need both the receiver and transmitter pair in order for it to work so the only solution is to buy new pairs or re-wire the house about $2,100 to replace the units or re-wiring requiring the walls to opened. Their solution was for me to purchase units through their vendor for about $1,600 that were 1080p instead of 4K units that were originally in the house. They also obtained a letter from the pool company that stated all was in working order when the pool was winterized which also was not the case. Emergency work was done over that winter with items not working when we opened the pool by that same pool company. Be careful with the sub-contractors they use some of them feel beholding to the company as they do a lot of business with them so will produce letters stating items are in working order when in fact they were not. The pool company was like it is not a big deal it will be about $1,500 to bring it back in order. Farrell fortunately did not do the original construction just finished the basement where we found they had rushed and covered several access points water valves and plumbing most of which we caught before purchasing some we did not. One high-hat in a room we missed thinking it was just the bulb that needed to replaced as it turned out it never had electric wire to it so 5 high hats were wired the 6th they simply didn't do and closed the ceiling. The other lovely thing they did was attempt to remove our furniture out of the pool area two weeks after we closed on the property. If we did not happen to be home their guys would have taken all our outside furniture good thing we changed the house entryway locks right away. My advice is that if you buy something from them you check over their construction work as carefully as possible. Good luck working with them the original work was done by Ian Behar his construction work looked like it was done well, my neighbor also thought he did a good job on his construction so maybe Ian is the guy to work with.

Additional quotes were requested for installation of an outlet on a kitchen island. Jason also suggested we upgrade our electrical panel from 100amp to 200amp. Quotes were provided and we decided to only do the garage work. Scheduled start Monday morning. On Sunday evening I decided to install a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms but there's not fixture there. Jason responded quickly and after discussing, said they could get it done on the same day. John and his apprentice showed up at the earlier portion of the promised time. John checked out the garage and the bedroom along with the attic access, laid out for me what they were going to do, and got to work. The work was absolutely professional. They were courteous and informative and no nonsense. I will definitely be calling on Big Sky Electric for the projects that I put off. You can trust this company with your home electrical work.

Beware of a local "contractor" called Hampton Restoration. (www.HamptonRestorationServices.com)…read more[NOT Hampton Restoration Group] We need to do a full restoration of our bath room. We found Hampton Restoration on the Internet. The web site said "For your peace of mind, we are an honest business that is fully licensed and insured." The website also claimed that they were "screened and approved by HomeAdvisor" They provided an estimate, (and no contract) and we decided to go with them. They required a down payment of 1/2 the total estimate. We paid that. I found out that they lied about being "fully licensed and insured" and Home Advisor has not "screened and approved" them. I told them we want our deposit back. They refused. They did no design work. We purchased and procured all the materials (vanity, toilet, lights, tile, shower and vanity plumbing, towel rack, mirror, etc.). They provided no labor, and yet they think they are entitled to $9120.00 of our money. We consider this Grand Theft. On top of this, the legal system proved disappointing. The State of NY, which seems to have good consumer protections, sent us to Suffolk County that also has what seems to be good consumer protections, but said that because the crime occurred in East Hampton NY, they had not jurisdiction. We filed a police report, and they were very sympathetic, but ultimately after investigating decided it was "a civil matter" not a "criminal matter". So if I went to the convenience store and shoplifted a cold beer, they would arrest me. But if a contractor steals $9120.00, it is up to me to sue the perpetrator. After speaking with an attorney in E. Hampton, he advised that I could try small claims court in E. Hampton (no lawyer required), and at best get back only $3000 (but I might loose). If I wanted to try to get back more of my money, he thought I might have to go all the way to the NY Supreme Court. Of course legal fees would wipe out any possible wins, and perhaps I would not win. So bottom line: Stay away from this fraudulent business. It could happen to you.
