I had an MRI. Hannah was my technician, she was great. Very reassuring. I was nervous because I'm claustrophobic. She helped me to feel better. The machine was not the completely open one, as on the website. However it was larger that a typical MRI scanner. I was in feet first so it was bearable. Had it been head first, I'm not so sure. Be sure to ask which machine you will be having if that's an issue did you. It was very quick. I was in and out in about an hour. I'd go there again if needed. read more

Atlantic Medical Imaging of Wall Township had a very professional office and the online registration for my appointment was seamless and quick. Unfortunately, I have no more positive comments for this imaging business. I scheduled a Cardiac MRI in early February with a prescription from my cardiologist at Shore Heart Group. The AMI receptionist who received my call took all my information which included the prescription info from my doctor. Receptionist told me the earliest date for an MRI was end of February Friday the 28th. Being very claustrophobic and a Cardiac MRI machine being a closed tube for extended timespan, my cardiologist prescribed a sedative for my MRI appointment on the 28th. When I arrived with my wife at 10am for a 10:30 MRI, I already took my sedatives and signed in at front desk and presented my MRI script and insurance card. I was called a few minutes later by the front desk and the receptionist informed me that us that AMI does not perform Cardiac MRIs on Friday and had to cancel my appointment for this morning. I told the receptionist this was unacceptable and I needed to see the office manager. After about a 15 minute wait the office manager Javan Camacho approached me in the middle of the waiting room and explained the girl I called for the appointment a month back was not knowledgeable about the special scheduling of the Cardiac MRI machines which are only scheduled on Monday's & Tuesday's. I told them how unprofessional AMI was and how fast can he get me rescheduled and with a smile on his face he told me March 31st. I explained to him the urgency of my condition and he said he couldn't go any better with a shorter appointment time. Please beware when using this imaging business in New Jersey especially for a Cardiac MRI. I would not recommend this AMI center and especially the AMI schedule call receptionists who are very incompetent on the MRI service schedule days and hours. read more

This facility has failed me. Been 4 months and I can't get my CT scan for my doctor to compare how my condition is progressing. They literally have ONE job- take a scan, save the scan, give me my scan! Still don't have my scan as I type this...so upset as this is time sensitive about the health of my lungs! read more

5/17/24 Bigger is not necessarily better, and this is certainly the case with AMI, which boasts having 17 MRI facilities: At the direction of my hand surgeon, AMI completed one hand and one wrist MRI on me in Manasquan in late April (total $$$ collected by AMI for my two MRIs- approximately $1600): Both MRIs were very painful for me to persevere through because I have severe arthritis in both shoulders, and I had told the technicians this before the beginning the MRI. However, the Technician said that I needed to lay flat on my stomach for the duration of each test with my arms outstretched in front of me, and this was almost unbearable for me, but I toughed the tests out for over an hour because I had realized how important it was for me to have confirmation of the hand tendon rupture from the MRIs. After all, I was planning to go through with the surgery if the MRIs confirmed the tendon rupture. HOWEVER, the AMI Radiologist wrote in their report that I did not have a ruptured tendon in my hand, even though my Hand Surgeon confirmed that I do, in fact, have a ruptured tendon. After reviewing the Radiologist's report, my hand surgeon tried to reach the Radiologist, but my surgeon was only able to get hold of the MRI technician (Angela), who tried to blame the inconsistencies in the Radiologist's report (as compared to my hand surgeon's observations) on the fact that I did not stay 'still' enough during the administration of the two MRIs. If my movement during the MRIs was really an issue, then why wouldn't either the MRI technician or the Radiologist have requested an immediate re-do, and why did the Radiologist write their report which such conviction if the MRI was not clear enough for the Radiologist to read? After the MRI technician spoke with my hand surgeon, AMI reached out to me to schedule a partial re-do of the MRI (at the request of their Radiologist). I asked to be scheduled in their Brick office because I was told that they have an open MRI machine where I can lay on my back and keep my arms at my side, and the AMI scheduler advised the AMI Scheduler that the Radiologist said that this would be OK. However, a week later, two hours before I was scheduled to go into the Brick AMI office, I received a call from Angela at AMI saying that their Scheduler should not have scheduled me for the Brick office and that I would need to go back to the Wall office and get the MRI re-do completed there. I reminded Angela of how painful it was the first time I endured the two MRIs in late April, but Angela said there were no other alternatives. I asked Angela to provide her Supervisor's name, but she skirted the issue. I reminded her that AMI has 17 facilities and that one of the MRI machines in their vast network should be able to permit me to lay on my back for an open MRI and get the re-do completed. It has been five days and I have left multiple messages for Angela, and I am not receiving any callbacks from her or anyone else at AMI. I called the Wall office and the scheduling office at AMI at least a half dozen times over the past five days, and I have not received a return phone call. So I STILL do not have MRI / Radiologist confirmation on whether the tendon in my hand is, in fact, ruptured. This experience with AMI has left me both bewildered and bitter about their incompetence, and I will NEVER schedule or endure another MRI or any other testing with AMI again because of it ! read more

I do NOT recommend Atlantic Medical Imaging. I have a fairly serious medical emergency and two days before my scheduled MRI I received a call from them stating that I no longer had insurance. I tried to explain to them that I had left my job and that I had COBRA but they stated that since I now have COBRA I needed to get approval by my doctor and provide them documentation to show that I was covered by insurance. As a result, my MRI is now canceled and I would have to make a new appointment (probably in another two weeks further affecting my health and well being) Atlantic Medical Imaging is precisely what is wrong with healthcare today.... Putting MONEY OVER HUMANS AND THEIR HEALTH!!! I will be posting this to every and any social media site that I can to help spread the word about yet another money hungry "medical organization" that values the all mighty dollar over the health and well being of human beings. The worst new patient onboarding experience I've had with a medical facility in years. Don't bother looking for patient registration or medical history forms in their patient portal; they don't exist. Don't bother calling for them either. You'll be on hold for ever and if you do get a human, you'll get the run around. I was told I could stop by and pick them up - Really?!?! I was also told, since my appointment was only 2 days away, it wasn't enough time to "mail" them. Last I checked, we are in the year 2023 and email has been a part of conducting business for years. So, I'll just show up for my appointment and fill the forms. If it takes to much time, oh well, they'll have to push their schedule back. I think it's only fair given the time I wasted, which I'll never get back, and frustration they caused me. I only hope their imaging technology is current with the times!!!!! read more

Their billing department and its manager don't know how to do their jobs. I had an insurance bill from a year and a half ago. every time I give them the appropriate insurance information they say "okay it's taken care of now" then I get the same bill back the next month. I have received a total of 17 bills and had 17 phone calls to AMI billing department. I even went as far as giving them the contact information for a representative from my insurance company I spoke with and had my insurance company reach out to them to take care of it. I got yet another bill today. if you work in AMI billing department I hope you get an incurable cancer and i hope your children OD on fent. read more

I have been using AMI for years and was kept waiting for an hour today before being taken back for my annual Mammogram. How does a Mammography technician get backed up ONE HOUR when appointments are required ? This was not an MRI or CT Scan where emergencies might rush in and take precedence. just not acceptable. Will not be returning. read more

My wait time is never more than 5 minutes, I always feel respected and significant, and any concerns I have had have always been addressed personally, professionally, and with kindness. Waiting on CD. Said would be 10 minutes. Waiting over 1 hr. Then they gave me wrong CD, had to leave. Follow up day 2. Went back to get my CD. They still didn't have it. Had to WAIT again until they pulled up another CD to give me. Very frustrating. read more

This is a phenomenal center. But.... I am so disappointed with the current status. I have been going here and the Brick location for about 20 years. I go to the same place because they are really wonderful and I like having all my history in one location as the doctor regularly looks back at past images for comparison. Now, for the first time, I have an issue with my breast and I need a mammogram now. However, the entire company's locations are booked out past February and they have stopped even making appointments. I'm speechless. I have to find someplace else to go and I am so disappointed. And, because of the holidays, it is hard to get in AND I have to get my records transferred. All while being a little freaked out that I have cancer and trying to hold it together for the holidays. I am just frustrated. I feel like I invested in AMI but now when I need them, they aren't there. Sigh... read more

Mark and Debbie are the best! They made my MRI experience easy and comfortable. I recommend AMI and have used them for years. Room for improvement remains in billing however. Problems to correctly code or include secondary provider go back several years. Correcting billing problems is difficult and time consuming. Software problems at AMI prevented tech from reading the DVD I brought them from another facility. This should be addressed since my doctor had no problem reading and downloading the same DVD. read more

At times in your life you need to go to a professional facility to get x-rays , ultrasound, CT scan and possibly an MRI. I have been using AI for some 10 years. The staff here is friendly and very competent. I usually wait for my results on disk and can usually pick up the written report within two days before I see my physician. This Center is always very clean. Go online and put your personal data on a portal. It will save time on your next appointment, avoiding paperwork there. read more

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I had scheduled online one of two areas to be X-ray'd. Totally my fault but they accommodated it. I honestly would not have even realized my error if they hadn't pointed it out. I was so happy they were able to squeeze in the other X-ray as it made one less trip I had to take. They didn't make me feel stupid because I didn't book it properly and just fixed it. Everyone is so nice there. One of the X-ray reports was even already in my doctor's hands when I got there a half an hour later. Can't ask for much more. read more

Appt for 7 supposed to be here at 630 was here at 650 had to go to other side bc mri receptionist not there yet waited on line then was sent back over to mri side bc she finally got there. THen the girl whi was late for her shift as a receptionist proceeded to scold me bc I should of been here. Handed me paper work which took me all of three mins to complete. loudly told her tech "your 7 just got here " (lie) how would she know she was late! So even tho I was done w my papers at 706 they took the next person in line. ! Never again will I come here. I have been coming here for over ten hrs for mammos ultrasounds mri! Disgusting unprofessional behavior. Good way to end a crap year! Take my advice there is no need to come here there are a ton of very good imaging places pick one with a little more friendlier and professional front desk! read more

Today I used AMI for a mammogram and ultrasound. I had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case when I was at this AMI office for my CAT scan a month ago. It's difficult for me to rate the entire facility because of my two different experiences. I would give the side where I had my mammogram a five, but only a one for the other side. read more

I am a nurse practitioner and ordered a test for a patient who chose this facility. The test was done on 2/16/22. As the ordering provider, the results should have been faxed to my office which was not done. I have spent 2 DAYS trying to reach a person in order to obtain the results. As we speak I have been on hold for probably the 7th time. I cannot afford to wait this amount of time and see patients. Not to mention my patient is waiting as well. I would never recommend this facility. read more

I had a scheduled CT scan at the AMI in Wall and had a very pleasant experience. I brought with me to my appointment everything they asked me to bring and had filled in all of the paperwork ahead of time as instructed. The front desk staff was very friendly when I arrived and I was taken back for the scan at exactly the time my appointment was scheduled. The woman conducting the CT scan was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the test. The facility and waiting area was clean, everyone was wearing masks, they asked the appropriate COVID-19 screening questions, and the seating area allowed for sufficient social distancing due to the virus. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs medical imaging. read more

I was advised by my Internal Med Doctor to get an ultrasound for possible kidney stones. When asked where I would want to go I stated AMI Wall, NJ. It is near my home. Well after 7 attempted calls to their site and repeated drop calls after waiting at times 15-20 minutes I never spoke to a person to confirm an appointment. Following the message on the phone I attempted to schedule an appointment on line and that option is not available. Customer Service was horrible and totally void. read more
