( only thing I currently have with them) successfully done and told I could either return the equipment in person at this store, or any ups store. I like to physically hand this kind of thing over when possible. So now I'm here trying to drop it off and they're on the phone with corporate because it's saying I can drop off the base unit, but need to ship the extender in a different way. We're approaching 30 minutes in and still trying to figure it out. This is crazy.. next time( if there ever is) it's drop off at ups store and so long... jeez.

After 3 months, the bill increased to higher than what we were paying before we called. We canceled our dish service due to false and misleading information. They said we would owe $399 for the remaining "contract". Not sure if it's 3rd party companies or if Dish is that deceptive but beware of the lies and charges the company attempts to tell and charge. Totally took advantage of us after 25 years of paying them.

I went for it and I put up with the horrible service for about 10 months and hated that I only had access to two channels at a time and that my satellite was always not working and my shows had to be channeled through my internet, although that part of it was not a big deal. The lack of viewing opportunities was! The TV would change channels when I wasn't looking and stop recording what I was watching or planned to watch if more than two programs were scheduled. I did call them and they offered no real info or help other than to tell me I could get 16 channels, but they offered me no solution, no pricing, no discounts, literally nothing to help my situation. When I couldn't stand it anymore, I cancelled and went back to my previous service. When I called them I was astounded to hear that I owed them $280 to cancel -- what they referred to as a $20 per month cancellation fee. I argued that I was not aware of such a stipulation and they countered that my price was guaranteed for two years. In my elderly, almost-80-year-old mind, that did not in any way equate to my agreeing to a two-year contract that would result in fees if I changed my mind. In addition, my price ACTUALLY did increase during that period although they tacked a name on it as being a separate charge that was "discounted" for 6 months and then went up. I don't know how else to spin it, but a PRICE INCREASE IS A PRICE INCREASE regardless of how it ends up costing me more for a particular service as in cable TV! So today I see they have taken $288 out of my checking account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and I'm really fit to be tied. I'm pretty old, though, and don't have much fight left in me for nonsense like this. All I can do is spread the word and warn others to beware of horrible business people and businesses like this who are going to steal from the elderly and ignore the facts. DO NOT GET YOUR CABLE FROM DISH NETWORK!

We called, placed an order for the day after we close on the purchase, and thought everything was ok. Unfortunately, a few days later we get a call from Spectrum Construction Support to let us know that they can't provide service to us due to an easement issue. They said they would have someone call us, but no one did. A day later we received an order cancellation email. Now we need to find an alternate TV and internet service provider. DO NOT TRUST SPECTRUM. DO NOT USE SPECTRUM.

My parents had only had Charter for a short time before my dad passed away. When my mom and I went to the local office to change service into her name, Terri helped us quickly and treated us with such kindness and respect. The same day, after business hours, my mom's phone service curiously went out. After speaking with two different "customer service representatives" at the national call line, nothing was resolved and it was recommended that we exchange our modem at the local office. A service call was also made for THREE DAYS LATER. As I was leaving for SC the following day, this was not an option. I wasn't going to leave my recently widowed mother without phone service. So, the following morning I showed up at the local office with modem in hand, and luckily had Terri helping me once again. I was first told that the call center was wrong, and I could not exchange a telephone modem. This has to be done by a technician. She immediately put the wheels in motion to have my mother's phone service repaired that day and assured me a technician would be at the house between 1-3:00. At 2:55, a friendly technician showed up and within 10 minutes, service was restored. As it turns out, the problem was an error made by a previous technician and it was just a fluke that the service went out when it did. It was also something the national CSRs should have been able to help us with over the phone but they were/are obviously inadequately trained, which is distressing. So, the five stars are not so much for Charter as a whole but to the local office in Stockbridge. We are thankful the issue occurred while we were in town so we could help my mom with the resolution. We also thank Terri and recommend a raise for this very kind and compassionate employee who knows how to get the job done.
