Towel rack fell off the wall

I was greeted by a seated young lady draped in a hotel blanket, and she didn't bother to stand up. It was a pouring and there was a tornado watch. The hotel was full and we couldn't find other accommodations. We booked four rooms with a balcony and received only two rooms with a balcony. The two non-balcony rooms were located in floor lobby on the first floor by the main entry door, the elevator and 24-hour in use ice-machine. When I made an attempt to voice my concerns to the manager, he kept cutting me off and emphatically repeated that no one is guaranteed to get the type of room they booked. The manager let hisself inside my room to retrieve clothing left behind by a previous guest. A cold drink left behind, scary! So, we slept with furniture behind the door. The furniture in two rooms has blood-like stains, the rusted stoves were not cleaned, and after our toilet overflowed, no one made an attempt to clean the toilet nor the bathroom floor; DISGUSTING! There are too many more issues to mention. The manager refused to issue a refund for the poor accommodations we were forced to stay in.

This place is disgusting. Perfect location but the building smells, it's dirty, the room wasn't clean. Broken fingernails in dresser drawer, roaches in the bathroom, stained bedsheets and beds, food and dead bugs on the floors, mirrors dirty- you can tell this place hasn't been cleaned in a while. I used to be a housekeeping manager and this is unacceptable. And the worst there's no front desk.

Oh my gosh! Where do I start? First off, when I first got in, the floor was very sandy, seems like they didn't even bother to clean the floor, theres dog hair and the couches are sticky, second off, we ordered room service to clean our room not once but TWICE. On the first time they don't have cleaning services, like who doesn't have cleaning services and your a hotel?! So we had to get it tommorow, but we didn't get our clean of course, so nobody showed up to clean. Our second try we got somebody and we still got nobody to show up? What?! Also, we even heard a story saying body got stuck on a elevator, also, it was a family! And when they said we couldn't take a elevator, we had to take the stairs (we were in the 12th floor, the highest other then the pent house) and my pregnant mom had to walk the stairs! 12 floors!? When we finally got to the top, we saw someone come out of the door we saw somebody get out of another elevator, they told none of us that there was a second elevator, thats absolutely absured. A 7 month pregnant women having to walk up 12 floors?! Anyways horrible horrible service! I do not recomend this hotel AT ALL. Thanks for reading.

I wish I can give this place negative stars. It was issues from the very start. We waiting almost 2 hours before having access to our room. There were tons of people waiting for the same thing. Huge cockroach was in the bed. They don't clean rooms or provide clean towels as we were told housekeeping leaves at 5. Front desk is extremely rude and obviously hate their lives. Patio window was dirty. Furniture old and pool was disgusting. The smell of urine through the "resort" was nauseating. The hall gives very much MOTEL vibes. Floors were so nasty. If you stay in north tower be aware you will have to walk to south tower for ice. Parking is not on the property but across the street and 2 lots away. They promise you tickets to area attractions. You actually get one ticket per room from a choice of 4. The pictures were very deceiving and I don't recommend this place to anyone. There are definitely better places in the area. Beware. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Our condo was gorgeous and way more than we expected. The condo was exceptionally clean and very spacious. The view was the best ever with beautiful sunrises every morning that took our breath away. We only had one day of bad weather but it was ok because there was an indoor pool and hot tub! We parked our car and never got back in it until the Vaction was over. The SkyWheel and boardwalk were viewable from our beach. Many restaurants , bars and shops were all close and walkable. There was even a full sized grocery store one block behind us, good thing since I needed more sun screen. We stayed in unit 155. Loved being only one floor up and not waiting for any elevators. We will try to get this same condo next year as well.

This is a horrible hotel! It's dirty, smelly and customer service is nonexistent.. When we went to the elevator, when the door open, we were met with the smell of mildew and the chips and paper all in the elevator floor. When we reached our floor, our hotel door had 3 different locks on them. When we went inside, the walls were filthy, sheets were dirty and there was blood on the wall. My partner and I traveled to South Carolina from the west coast to enjoy some southern hospitality, and invest in a vacation property with BLUEGREEN VACATIONS. We had an appointment with them in the morning. They set us up to stay at the Atlantica our sales person Craig was awesome. When we told him what had happened and showed him the pictures. He told his boss Julie, she was very attentive at first, she had me write a statement and even a "spokesperson" called and said someone would be getting in touch with us shorty. Julie assured us that even if we didn't purchase the property they wanted to get to the bottom of this horrible situation. She also told us that was not there property, they save their property for clients, this was an independent company. Well needless to say we didn't invest in the property, and we NEVER received a call. So we are going to give ATLANTICA AND BLUEGREEN VACATION a zero

We ended up loving it so much that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. The location was honestly perfect. There was a Walmart nearby, the boardwalk and boardwalk mall were close, and there were plenty of restaurants within a short distance. The beach access was in a great spot, and the entire area felt very clean and safe. The outside pool area was modern, well maintained, and very inviting. The breakfast advertised in the lobby definitely lived up to expectations. Every morning there was a fresh breakfast along with a fun waffle-making station, which we really enjoyed. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming. There was also a restaurant on the main floor with a great atmosphere, and the food was very good. There were only two downsides during our stay. The kids' splash pad -- one of the main reasons we booked this hotel -- was unfortunately out of service the entire time due to needing a new pump. We understood that these things happen. The other issue was that the rugs in the room did not seem very clean. We ended up keeping our shoes on in the room, so it wasn't a huge issue for us personally. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely book this hotel again

Lots of seating, fun accommodations for children, and pool towel rentals are also available. Direct access from the pool to the beach. Loved there was a spot to rinse off the sand from beach upon entering the pool area. One of the staff members gave great restaurant recommendations. Now, the bad. You have to pay for parking. It was additional $60 for 2 nights, but through a QRC code, not on your hotel bill. There was an extra $100 (exact) tacked onto my bill after checking in. Nobody told me where this $100 came from. So, I'm now assuming a security deposit? Will it be refunded when I check out? I asked 2 different representatives, and nobody directly told me what it was for. (Edit: it was refunded, but I wished somebody said so) I would have cancelled, but was not in a position to find another hotel. The a/c unit barely worked. We were sweating during the night. The paint on the ceiling above my shower was peeling off. That's in the video I posted. We were on the 4th floor, and had to go to the 3rd for ice. It would have been nice to know that as well. We were given a wristband to wear for use of the amenities, but nobody was wearing them, and nobody was checking for them either. Overall, I won't be staying here again.

This one was the exception! Right on the beach with amazing ocean front room. We could see the ocean from our bed. Very private, the balconies were shielded from the neighbors and even the pools below could only see us if we were out on the balcony. The views were quite stunning! In addition, the pools were nice plus you have multiple pools to choose from. In the evening, the 2nd floor patio with fire pit was great to hang out and relax. Parking is directly across the street in the parking garage. Very quick and easy to get to. Starbucks across the street as well. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

Check in was a breeze. Staff was super friendly. This hotel is located in a great spot...within walking distance to lots of eateries and direct access to the beach. All of the rooms have ocean views. Initially I thought the bed position was weird but I quickly appreciated waking up to views of the beach and ocean. Everything was clean and well appointed in our king room. My only complaint is that the towels were pretty bad and extremely thin, more so than any other hotel I've visited. We went to the bar on the second floor to people watch. It's a cute spot and has access to outdoor seating with a view and fire pits. Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. There is ample parking in the deck across the street. Overall, a nice stay!

There's an ice cream shop directly attached beside the hotel next to valet parking. The bad: the valet line is extremely unorganized. We waited in the line for a long time to get loaded and checked in due to the valet line and the same as when we checked out the hotel. Cars were sitting in the streets trying to get in. Unoccupied cars just parked. No urgency at all. Housekeeping could do a better job at cleaning the rooms. Touch up painting is needed in the rooms. Even though I completed all of the online pre-registration beforehand, I had to repeat the entire process at the front desk because they couldn't find any record of it. The line was long, instructions were minimal, and parking was confusing. Both towers park in the Indigo garage, and you have to use the third-floor walkway to get to the other tower--information that wasn't clearly explained. The room itself was the biggest disappointment. The layout is incredibly long and narrow and honestly just... odd. The master bedroom shares a wall with the public hallway, and because we were close to the elevator, we heard people talking at all hours. It felt more like sleeping in a hallway than a bedroom. The furnishings are badly overdue for an update. The furniture feels worn out, the closet door came off its track when opened, the master sink barely drained, the safe battery was dead (maintenance had to replace it), and the sheets felt like sandpaper. There were no USB charging ports or convenient outlets like you find in just about every hotel these days. The "kitchen" is really just a mini fridge (without a freezer), microwave, sink, toaster, coffee maker, and blender. Then the layout gets even stranger. The living room has a sofa bed, but there were no pillows and only one set of sheets stored in the master closet. Meanwhile, the second bathroom connected to the living room is enormous--with dual vanities, a huge shower, and a Jacuzzi tub--while the master bathroom is the size of a basic Holiday Inn bathroom. The whole setup feels backwards. The ocean and pool view was beautiful, but the room itself felt like a design that never figured out what it wanted to be. One of my biggest frustrations was the housekeeping policy. We were charged a daily housekeeping fee (nearly $30 per day), yet the paperwork says they don't actually provide housekeeping. The first two days no one even came until I called. When they finally did, they simply emptied the trash and left a couple of clean towels on the counter. Charging a daily housekeeping fee without providing daily housekeeping feels misleading. To top it off, the only proactive phone call we received during our stay wasn't to see if everything was okay--it was someone trying to sell us a "timeshare". There are also no ice machines in the tower and no front desk staff nearby if you need assistance, so every issue requires contacting the separate check-in building. For the price we paid (roughly $500+ per night after resort fees, housekeeping fees, marketing fees, and taxes), I expected a much more polished experience. Instead, it felt dated, confusing, and overpriced. The ocean view was lovely, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for everything else. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.
