His attention to detail is immaculate and makes sure every nook and cranny is given attention. This exterior job was "tricky" considering the awful smoke and also being in a pandemic. To prevent the need from coming in/out of the house for bathroom needs, he arranged for a honey bucket. Even on the worst of the polluted days, he showed up on time and took care of business. Overall, the project took 10 business days to complete; 6 days were just spent masking and prepping the surfaces. We got three bids to paint our 850 square foot condo interior walls and trim, they were solidly in the middle price-wise and we are glad to have picked them. David was careful and detailed in his quote (and we were worried that the low bid had not really thought through the job and would hit us with extra costs). I visited while they were working and he had a crew of four in there doing careful and detailed work. They finished well ahead of time and at budget and did a few extra things (not technically in their scope) just to make it all look better. They broke a small cheap light fixture at one point but immediately called to report it and ultimately replaced it at no cost to us, including installation. We actually also had an issue with how the paint dried the first time, however - when David found out about it (one of the buckets of paint had the wrong sheen), he and his foreman came and resolved it IMMEDIATELY even though we had already paid him in full, so he could easily have ignored us. And that "immediately" was from 9:00pm - Midnight on a Sunday night because our carpet installation was scheduled for the next day. Pretty unreal customer service actually - true professionals. Their actual work was detailed and careful, and the place looks great - I will upload photos once we get them back. Bottom line: Great company, very complete work - strong oversight and quality control, clear communication and overall attention to detail. I recommend them!

He came to our home on time and did a thorough walk around our home and gave us a detailed bid. For reference we had most of our siding replaced, and the entire outside of our home painted, including front door, gutters, along with some other repairs. I found Jose and crew, to be professional at every turn, I liked that he had a detailed contract and several options for payments. His price was fair after receiving another bid. It is a lot of trust having work done in and around your home, Jose met and exceeded my high expectaions of doing an excellent, and detailed job. He takes pride in his work. Zack responded the same morning I requested their service and a quote. He and Carlos came out that same day, inspected the roof, and presented us with options. We ended up getting a completely new roof, and they did an awesome job. Throughout the process Zack and Carlos took multiple photos/videos to show us what they were seeing on the roof and in the attic. To say they were transparent and had great communication doesn't do it justice. Every single part of the process was laid out and they updated us throughout the whole process. It made the whole thing so much less stressful for our family. We have a 1,300 square foot house and they were able to take off the old roof (including 30 plywood pieces) and install the new one in under 48 hours from start to finish. I had just come home from work as they were finishing, and Carlos had me come up on the roof right then and there to see the work they had done before it was dark. Without getting into details on how horrific our old roof was, I immediately could tell that the new roof they had just installed was done very well and properly. Five years ago we had carpet installed and were left with an annoying gap between the carpet and the baseboard. It drove me crazy! Carl not only handled the installation beautifully, but he also made sure the new padding was thick enough to eliminate that gap entirely. A problem that bothered me for five years - gone in one day thanks to Carl. Fast, professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely thoughtful. We couldn't recommend him more!

We will not be working with Better Call Carl again. Last November, we hired him to perform a…read more"bathroom refresh". Hooked us in with a great price and great initial communication. On the first day on the renovation, we went through all the details of changes we wanted to make with his team. Somehow, these details never came to fruition. They did a great job with the drywall, painting, and tub installation - however, their tile work in the shower is subpar (the tiles were placed crooked and we had to go in to regrout ourselves). We previously had plumbing work done, so the cabinetry underneath the vanity had to be replaced. Better Call Carl figured the best way to do this was to just patchwork plywood (we went back ourselves to fix). He also didn't see the need for continuous baseboards (see photo). The biggest problem we have is with the floors - we also had terrazzo floor tiles placed and confirmed with the team prior to starting that there were enough tiles to complete the project. The floor is not up to industry standard nor ADA requirements. The grout lines are all different sizes and the actual tiles are not level, resulting in a trip hazard. There are also tiles that have been chipped both during and after installation. We reached out to Better Call Carl after work was complete to see if he could replace the floor - he was reluctant to come back, but he did end up replacing two tiles (out of 21). Even after the second round, the floor is a little more level, but nowhere near the standard or expectation. There are still chipped tiles, uneven grout lines, and tiles that are not level. We will be buying new tiles and having the floor redone, so we asked for a partial refund (for just the work on the floor), which was denied. We then tried to see if there was any other resolution we could agree on since Better Call Carl claims he has a one-year warranty. He refused to uphold his warranty. We'll be going with another professional from here on and would not recommend Better Call Carl to anyone.
