Paradise really does exist at Atlantis feels. The entire resort is stunning; nearly breathtaking. The Cove is the adult tower which instantly puts you in vacation mode. There's perfect water temp and hues, soft white sand, amazing pools and super fun waterslides! The Cove has its own private beach with a calm exclusive vibe. I loved starting the day swimming in the ocean, relaxing on the sand, eating at a restaurant, feeding the sea turtles and stingrays, snorkelling in the lagoon and ending off with a stroll in the little "village" shopping away. Rooms are spacious and modern with windows overlooking stunning ocean views. Waking up to that blue water every morning felt unreal. Dining has lots of options ranging from Nobu to casual spots. The famous Atlantis water park is full of kiddos sunlike the cove but to not go on the iconic Mayan Temple waterslide would be a huge mistake. This waterslide has two sides, a slow tube float or a high speed huge drop and the best part about it is that they go through a real shark tank! When you're on the tube side you get to really enjoy your views and watch the sharks swimming by in awe. If you're visiting the Bahamas and want that perfect mix of luxury and fun; Atlantis is the place to be and the Cove is the cherry on top! read more

Went using a casino comp offer and played at the casino but because I didn't play "enough" the comp was removed and they are expecting me to pay even though at checkout the casino desk confirmed I was good. This was my second visit to Atlantis, but my first time staying at the resort, and unfortunately it will likely be my last. We booked a Premium Water View Room in the Coral Tower, but upon arrival our room had multiple maintenance issues, including a constantly running toilet and a bathroom door that was so difficult to open that two 9-year-olds couldn't open it themselves. Guest Services offered to move us and assured us we would receive the same room category or an upgrade. Instead, we were downgraded to a standard Water View Room without any communication. I only discovered the downgrade after moving and had to return to the front desk for an explanation. The replacement room had its own problems, including air conditioning issues and a persistent mildew smell. We were then asked twice more to move rooms after we had already packed, moved, and unpacked. Throughout our stay, there were several operational issues that you wouldn't expect from a resort at this price point. We experienced long elevator waits because only one elevator was operating in the Coral Tower, Aquaventure and the Coral Pool ran out of towels, Housekeeping ran out of washcloths, Marina Pizzeria gave our pizza to another guest, and the advertised Summer Fest didn't have the food trucks that were promoted. The dining experience was also disappointing overall. We ate at several restaurants throughout the resort, and Nobu was the only meal that truly had good food. What disappointed me most wasn't just the maintenance issues--it was the lack of communication and follow-through. I shared my experience directly with management after they reached out asking about our stay, but I never received a response. The Bahamas has some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, but our stay at Atlantis fell far below the expectations set by its reputation and premium pricing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying here based on our experience. read more

Worst resort experience ever!!! This is definitely not a 5 star resort in terms of how they operate. Customer service here is non-existent. I've taken the liberty of listing out all of what is wrong with the Atlantis Bahamas to save you some time, money and the worst headache for you and your family ever! Please see below: We travel all over the world and only stay at 5 star resorts: Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, top of the line hotel brands and we have Platinum Marriott Status, so we tend to lean towards Marriott properties. We chose the Atlantis Bahamas because it was not only a Marriott property but it was family friendly and offered a water park. This particular trip was for our 10 year wedding anniversary and so we were traveling from the United States with our 2 children, 2 mothers, close friends for what we hoped would be a fun-filled luxury experience to commemorate our 10 years of marriage. We were WRONG, because the Atlantis ruined the entire resort experience. First up: Customer Service of Lack Thereof: The staff here at this resort have no absolutely no interest in being kind, helpful or even caring. They have been snappy when asked basic questions pertaining to where things are at the resort. I called to ask if there was a microwave on property and the person I spoke with told me that there was no microwave anywhere on the property. To her surprise, although I was calling from our room in the Royal Tower, I told her that I in fact SAW a microwave in the lobby of the Coral Tower. She very begrudgingly told me "that microwave is for Coral guests only!!!" To her suprise again, I politely let her know we also purchased rooms in the Coral Tower (despite her telling me there were NO microwaves in the ENTIRE PROPERTY!!") when I mentioned this to her she caught an attitude further and told me "well you have until 10pm to use that microwave", no apology, no compassion, just pure rudeness. When I asked to speak with a manager to inquire of why there was no microwave in the Royal tower but one in the Coral Tower, she clicked the line to the manager in the middle of me attempting to ask. Of course no manager picked up, so the line routed me back to her, she told me the manager was busy and I asked if she can arrange to have the manager call me back, she said she would. Guess who is on day 4 of their trip and still never got a call back from said manager? Either she didn't tell the manager or the management lacks follow through. Either way, customer service is lacking and this is not the type of service that a 5 star resort displays. Also, at the Shake Shack one night, our entire family went in around 9pm to grab an after dinner shake. There was only one person working the register for the extremely long line of about 40 people, after about an hour of standing in line, we order a cookies n cream shake, and a strawberry shake for our 2 kids, my husband and I decided after about 30 mins of standing that we no longer wanted our shakes but stood in line for the kids. When we received the order, it was in fact a chocolate shake instead of a cookies and cream shake. I took it back to the order window and let the girl that was at the counter know the order was for a cookies n cream shake and I was given a chocolate shake. She looked at me and said "Can you see? This shake is brown, did you not see that when you got it? A cookies n cream shake is black and white, how do you not know the difference?", yes she actually fixed her mouth to say this to me with an attitude. I let her know it didn't matter and that I need the correct order. She gave me a cookies and cream shake but she placed it down on the counter angrily....no "sorry" no "our apologies for mixing up your order" just a slammed down shake and an eye roll. Never have I experienced such terrible service at a Marriott property anywhere else in the world. We have traveled to 19 countries and this by far was the WORST service we have ever received anywhere. The Coral Tower that we paid for our mothers to stay in had no water for over 24 hours, at first they said it would only be off for 45 minutes, that turned into an entire day later. They had to shower in our room in the Royal Tower, there was no apologies, no extra accommodations for the inconvenience at all. Only after many other patrons complained, did they tell us they would consider giving a percentage of the room booking back, but did not tell us what that percentage was. Came here for a week slot tournament event, and loved every minute of it! The rooms are super comfortable, super cold A/C, and plush beds and pillows (I slept great!). I did not see any plumbing issues and our shower and bathroom was great at our guest room and public areas the entire time. The casino has a bright, fun vibe and you feel like you are in a great casino spot! We had dinner in one of the Ballrooms and super impressive spaces. The pool and waterslides are super fun and well worth the day - but this place is BIG and takes about a full day to get acquainted to it all. My simple lunch for two at Shake Shack was $50 - just be prepared. And bar drinks at Bar Sol are yummy but do not expect fast service but they come out quality. We explored into town one day - walking over the bridge into town takes about 50 minutes (no uber in the city, but taxis available at main entrance) but the town left to be desired. You want to stop, relax, and enjoy this resort. The marina area is well worth seeing as well - attached to the hotel but offers a fun different vibe than the resort- check out Dilly Club Bar for the best cocktails. read more

I went to Atlantis on a day pass through NCL cruises, and honestly it was totally worth it. I had a great time. I started off doing the slides and really ended up loving The Abyss the most. It was dark, fast, and just had that cool vibe at the end with the cave and splashdown. Way better than the Leap of Faith, which was over in like 2 seconds. The Drop and Serpent Slide were also fun, especially since they felt a bit longer and less rushed. The Dig and Predator Cove Aquariums were also super fun and immersive! So many sharks and other marine life! After all that, I ended up hanging out at Cove Beach for like 2 hour it was super chill, beautiful water, and not as crowded as the main beach. I grabbed something to eat at Pita by the Cove, which hit the spot. Definitely on the pricier side (day pass cost me $190 through NCL and included transportation but not lunch which was another $23) for me, it was a great mix of fun and relaxation since I enjoy water slides. read more

I walked my trash glasses and cups all over the property that the staff "walked by" ... my room had hot water issues and a door with a deadbolt that was broke. From the moment we arrived, the lush grounds and impressive architecture set the tone for a luxurious getaway. The beach here is absolutely gorgeous--powdery white sands and crystal-clear, turquoise waters that are perfect for relaxing or swimming. The scenery is postcard-worthy, making it a perfect backdrop for a memorable vacation. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, answering most of our questions with professionalism. We appreciated that they were able to accommodate our early arrival around 10 a.m. after a red-eye flight, which was a thoughtful touch. During our stay, we also ordered room service--a burger that was okay, but the fries were lukewarm and not very appetizing. To make matters worse, they didn't bring water or a straw with the meal. When we asked the server, the gentleman said he would be back to get them, but unfortunately, he never returned. That small detail really impacted our experience and highlighted some of the service inconsistencies throughout the resort. We did encounter a few other snags, especially with service at various venues. Some places felt like the staff were either absent or lacked enthusiasm, which was surprising given the high standards I expected at such a renowned resort. The overall experience was marred somewhat by the overpricing of food and drinks, with a 25% tax that included tip--quite steep, especially considering the quality of service. It felt like the extra charges might discourage staff from going above and beyond for guests, which was disappointing. Despite these issues, the one standout experience was the Dilly Club, which truly deserves a 5/5 rating. The servers there were especially friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed. Interestingly, we learned that the Dilly Club is privately owned; had it been operated directly by Atlantis, the service quality might not have been as impressive. Nonetheless, it was a highlight of our trip. On a positive note, the resort's gym was excellent--well-equipped, clean, and perfect for a good workout. HOWEVER, I can't let my stay pass without commenting on a few things to help others make an informed decision on their vacation plans. - no hot water in shower for 4 days - service painfully slow at restaurants and food mediocre at best. - hotel not unkept but clearly "tired" and in need of a renovation. - prices outrageous in bars and restaurants for value exchanged. - water park fun and one of the only pluses. This property suffered a catastrophic failure on my floor causing a severe flood and ceiling falling with electrical and Brittany the manager would not move us and would not forgive the reservation. The toilet leaked the whole time and the bathtub was missing some enamel. Floods and electrical all over, definitely not where you want to take your family. Do yourself a favor and don't ever stay at this cesspool. Never had this type of incompetence at the Baja Mar. The management (if you can find them) won't do anything to help. This is my ( now deleted ) Tripadvisor review from 2010 (Part 2) Water Park, Pools and Beaches: I mentioned Cruise ships because this is the one reason that I would never ever go back here and recommend that you avoid Atlantis. ATLANTIS ALLOWS 4to5 (!!!!) SHIPS FULL OF PASSENGERS A DAY INTO THE WATER PARK , POOLS AND BEACHES ! We had a ritual when we went to breakfast in which we would look out of the elevator lobby window to see how many ships pulled in overnight. Now, I don't begrudge Atlantis wanting to make some extra money, but really. I laid down some serious cabbage to have a nice vacation, I wanted a little exclusivity but you sold me out. At $150 per person they are making a mint. (4 Ships)*(500 per ship)*($150)= $300K. Nice. Easy. Money. We called them "Cruise Ship People" and you could tell exactly who they were. They are rude, demanding, loud, obnoxious Jersey Shore wannabes with all of their gold bling, giant sunglasses, leather orange skin , bad tattoos and My Cousin Vinnie accents. They are the epitome of the ugly American with an entitlement mentality. You can't pick up your trash or walk to step to put your towel in the bin? I see you how you treat the staff , I hope they spit in your Grey Goose cocktail that didn't have enough ice for you. A pox on all of you . I hope you all get the Noro virus . Just spent a week at The Royal and while we had an amazing view from our suite, the overall experience was underwhelming. The price you are paying is nowhere near the level of service that you are receiving even with the additional VAT and automatic 15% gratuity. We had to call several times for maintenance for our suite during our stay. We had to endure cold showers on 3 separate occasions even though the sinks and bathtub had instant hot water. You could also tell that maintenance and attention to detail was lacking in many areas. The food quality and service in the majority of the restaurants did not match the price. Even confirming our return transportation back to the airport was a hassle and it was arranged through the resort. When you try and call from either the in room phone or your cell phone you cannot reach a person as none of the phone prompts work. When I went down to the front desk for assistance, I was informed that only they can reach the copy for you. This was never communicated and I find ridiculous. They also shutoff your internet access immediately after checking out even though you are still on property and not scheduled to depart for several more hours. I found this extremely tacky and cheap. Needless to say, my family and I will never be visiting this property again and will be sure to tell everyone to avoid as well. read more

Resort was good. credit cards were stolen on our visit from a cruise on 4/1. Person charged several thousand at liquor stores before we discovered it. Was a real pain while on a cruise with no cell service. Have contacted security at Atlantis and Paradise Island police and hopefully they can catch the thief through security cameras and charges at stores. was very disappointed at the hassle. read more

While our first 24 hours was disappointing, things ultimately improved after we provided feedback such that management went out of their way to make sure that our experience was much better than how it started. The recovery certainly exceeded my expectations and even contradict statements made by other staff members, the overall review is three and a half stars because we were at a such a low point early on. Add to that I'm rounding down because we chose the cove based on representations that it is an adult only (over 18 years) tower. Each time we entered or exited our building we encountered small children and unaccompanied teens well below the age of 18. This was also the case at the adult only pool directly behind the Cove. Our lobby Security staff confirmed children were staying in the building during our stay so it's unclear if the rule is relaxed during the holiday season, when they're at full capacity elsewhere or generally speaking it's not enforced. read more

They give you two little metal bottles to fill at "water stations" outside. Water smelled like sulfer. To buy a bottle of water in store was $10 a bottle. Ordered yogurt parfait in Perch restaurant for $18. Received a mini scoop with two blueberries and some stale cereal typle granola. Whole place is a giant rip-off. Make you feel that you are doing them a favor to come and spend so much money at this place. The beach is full of stones in the water so we were injured and couldn't enjoy. Rooms are old Holiday Inn at best. Worn carpets. I had no bath mat and 1 towel in a King room. There was no toilet paper roller.-Just an extra roll on a pipe in the corner. 1-Star for the fun water park and the Starbucks coffee in my room. Food and drinks are outrageously expensive. We just got back (January 2022) and wow, where to start. Expensive does not stress how much they nickel and dime you. Every meal, even room service, is going to cost you hundreds of dollars. The service was terrible from rude staff to wait times for everything. I get island time but it should not take 45 minutes to get a drink in a bar when we are the only ones there. And it was literally 45 minutes, we never got our drink even after we got the apps we ordered (Sea Glass lounge) after asking for it 3 times. After 45 minutes we asked them to just tab us and they said they could not remove the drink even though they never made it, but they said ok no problem when we asked for the manager. The large pool was closed the whole time and all the pools are only open 9am to 5pm, but at 9:30 our first day the pools where not open yet. Also, we were told all the chairs and beds were booked and we could not sit on them yet they were empty all day. I get that people book them, but they never came and we had literally no where to keep our stuff. Our room had cracks in the walls, the baseboards were cracking, and it was just in bad shape and dated. We asked several times for directions or had questions for the info person at our tower (The Cove) and they could not tell us how to get to sundries, where to get the shuttle, etc. I realize they just had to be messing with us because after we were there a day it was all straight forward. We went to Marina Village and everywhere was closed except for a couple shops long after their advertised open times. I asked a worker and he laughed and said it is always like that. They proceeded to tell us it sucks there and we should leave and go elsewhere if we want to enjoy ourselves. This was an employee of the resort! Sadly, we could not wait to get home. read more

Been to ATlantis 6 different times. Last time before this was 9 yrs ago and certainly the place has gone downhill. This trip we stayed at a $1,000 a night suite at The Reef. The room was beautiful and had a huge wrapped balcony, but honestly the decor was dated and frayed. The property needs a refresh. Biggest issue w Atlantis now is they allow Cruise ships to have a day at the water park, so everyday you have between 5,000-10,000 walk ins that are out of control. The pools end up as diaper pools, it's a bit gross. Nearby Baha Mar is taking all of the new business and is very Las Vegas style, clean, well amenities etc. When you see the endless Atlantis TV ads with rooms starting at $199.00 that should tell you all you need to know. Don't bother unless you are the State Fair type. read more

My wife and I stayed at The Cove in Atlantis. Everything was first class, fantastic upgraded room with king bed. Adult pool only. The surrounding hotels and pools were loaded with families which we avoided. Visited the casino one night, it was packed. Met a number of gamblers who received comped rooms to accommodate their hobby. Everything is premium priced, walked to the shopping mall to buy water and other necessities at more normal prices. Took the ferry into Nassau for a day of shopping and lunch. Great experience for our first visit. If we go again it would be to Exumas Island, which we are told has more brilliant beaches and clearer water. read more

Misplaced dinner reservations, a staff who couldn't care less at 700 dollars a night and no concern for if you are taken care of or not doesn't seem top be a model business for me. When they take your dinner reservations get a name a time and some type of confirmation before they call you a liar and turn you away. This is my first review ever! I feel I am forced in a way to write a review of this place and experience. Six years ago, our trip here was great. This time...absolutely terrible. RE: Staff: Excellent, welcoming and polite. Extremely nice people. Overall condition of property: terrible. It is obvious that the new ownership group is "milking" the property. The overall property is no where near as clean as in our previous visit. General maintenance is severely lacking. Even the so called "cabanas" are at least a year past needing painting. Peeling paint and bare wood is the rule here. Atlantis Water adventure: they obviously have a new policy regarding selling passes to cruise ships. On three of our four days here the crowds where so immense we really couldn't enjoy any rides....waits were 20-30 minutes on each....also, for unknown reasons some rides were closed. Food costs: fully aware prior how expensive this resort is... They have taken the costs to a new level. Dinner for my wife, teen age daughter and myself ....with 3 drinks....averaged $260-325 each night. Casino: they admit when pressed that they have changed their "comp" protocol. DO NOT EXPECT ANY COMPS! There review showed I played between 13-14 hours over the four days with an average bet of $214.00 (my calculations had my play at $250.00)...with an overall loss between of approximately $7K........They gave me a comp of $200 of my bill. After significant complaint and a drawn out meeting with the Casino Manager the comp was raised to $300. They literally state..."sorry, that's it". "We can't help you." Blaming the response on corporate mandates from the new owners. My wife and I have travelled to many luxurious resorts around the world. We wouldn't return here ...for free...seriously. The property is now equal in quality to a Holiday Inn. In a New Jersey beach town. If you decide to go after reading this review....print it out...and read it again when you return home. read more
