The Makeup Addict Studios is JUST that fantastic. It's certainly a noteworthy, professional make up studio worth mentioning. The Makeup Addict Studio, owned and operated by Ambria Cotten, is a cutting edge makeup studio in a class of its own. I have had the privilege of visiting the studio numerous times and will continue to visit. When you walk in, you are greeted with a warm smile and excellent hospitality. This is not just a makeup studio - this is an experience. As one in the music industry, it is of the utmost importance that my makeup is professional and looks good. Ambria is very diverse in her approach, being able to cater to my desire for a dramatic look right down to a natural appearance. I can count on her to give me the look that caters well to my needs. She uses quality products and is sure to ask the right questions about my skin type to ensure the best fit for the look we're going for. When you've got a good thing going, you want to stick with it. For this cause, I will continue to frequent and refer my friends and family to this studio. The level of professionalism provided is comparable to none. Any questions that I may have, she is quick to respond. I've also had the opportunity to see students trained under her tutelage and the level of care that she instructs shows forth her passion for makeup artistry and to see her students progress. This company has an office in both Raleigh and Charlotte. It grieved my heart to see some of the less than tasteful reviews of the Charlotte office. What a shock! My heart goes out to the very few who experienced challenges there. All of my experiences in the Raleigh office has been nothing short of stellar, professional, and unique. I am very careful about the integrity of my associations (especially those working on my face or hair). Because I had frequented the studio numerous times, I felt it necessary to inquire. After all, client statistical trends of repeat business holds true; if there's an issue, people will not return to patronize that business. If I knew something was off, I would no longer want to visit. Integrity is everything! I reached out to the owner to inquire. It was brought to my attention that the moment the challenges in the Charlotte office became known, immediate actions were taken to rectify the situation. This included the swift removal of the previous office manager mentioned in one of the previous posts. It's certainly no desire of mine for anyone to be removed, however, business is business. From my experience, this studio does everything that it can possibly do to cater to the needs of its clients. I am very proud of the work this studio produces and the way it makes me feel. Just to share how amazing this studio is, I was doing a Periscope video about a month ago. I made a trip to Atlanta a few weekends ago, and someone mentioned to me how much they loved my makeup and wanted to have MY NORTH CAROLINIAN makeup artist do their makeup. She's in Atlanta... The last time I checked, Atlanta does NOT have a shortage in makeup artists. The quality provided by the MakeUp Addict Studio touched someone states away who would want to work with my makeup artist. That speaks volumes!!! It is my desire that this posting is as clear and helpful as it could possibly be. I will continue visiting this studio. I have had so many compliments on both my cut and my color. I cannot recommend her highly enough. And the salon is unpretentious but very comfortable--especially their hair washing basins.. I don't know why this type of basin is not the standard for the industry. If you have neck pain, you won't believe how comfortable you could feel having your hair washed until you experience the next support of these basins.
