My insurance company contacted Atlantis to tow my vehicle. I waited over two hours and when they finally were "arriving" they canceled the tow. I don't understand why this company would accept the work knowing they aren't going to follow through. And they have a history of leaving people high and dry. One of the worst services ever. They did not tow my vehicle on time as committed, but informed the manufacturer who scheduled the service as service completed. Then 2 days later they say the service was not completed. The vehicle was lost for 3 days. It was towed to a lot with 4 parking tickets by the local police. We thought the vehicle was lost after being towed as this company said the service was completed. By luck we found the vehicle was towed by local police. They don't have people. Always you will hear that they cannot make it as promised and they are busy. Save yourself peace of mind. They made my life miserable. When Atlantis was assigned by Hagerty Insurance for my classic car I checked reviews here. I became worried. The estimate was 90 to 105 mins for my tow. The truck arrived in about 40 mins and the driver was very careful with my 64 Chevy Corvair. Ramon (I think) was courteous and knowledgeable. It was a great experience. read more

We waited 4+ hours for the tow truck to show. When they did, he was was too busy with his side chick sitting in the passenger seat. Any directions given were not communicated from the "dispatch" to the actual driver. For example drop off location and vehicle size. They dropped the vehicle off and took they key with them. Accepted a dispatch by Geico around 1pm with an ETA of around 2:23. Hadn't heard from them at 3:30 so I called and got their voicemail. No other companies were available from Geico so they recommended I continue waiting. I called every hour and continued getting voicemail until a little before 8 when I finally got someone who said that he'd just come on shift, seemed to have no idea about the accepted dispatch and couldn't get a truck to me for an hour. When I told him that getting it that late wouldn't help me he said 'Okay' and hung up. Worthless. read more

I needed roadside assistance with a vehicle I rented. My daughter left her wallet in the car but didn't realize until after we left. We were able to get in touch with the tow driver and he was VERY professional, absolutely understanding and agreed to wait for us to return. He was honest and I cannot thank him enough. Do not use this towing company!! If I could give 0 stars, I would! My insurance company contacted them to tow my vehicle after it had broken down early one morning in 20 degree weather (felt like 9 degrees with the windchill). They gave an ETA of 2 hours, which was ridiculous in and of itself at 3am, but whatever, it's better than nothing, right? Wrong!! After waiting for an hour and a half I called them (like I said, it was freezing out), and they didn't answer the phone. I called them 5 more times, but still, no one answered. So I called my insurance company again, and after they looked into it they told me that Atlantis had cancelled the tow! Without telling me or my insurance company! I was sitting in my vehicle in the middle of Boston in 20 degree weather, and they cancelled without notice, and for no apparent reason! Trust me, save yourself a lot of grief and look elsewhere for assistance. Heck, you're better off pushing your vehicle home than hiring these incompetent morons for a tow! Flat tire tonight on MA-99 (New Rutherford Ave) outside Charlestown. Called Geico roadside assistance around 7:15pm with an estimated tow truck arrival of 60 minutes. The tow truck arrived at 8:06. The gentleman who assisted me could not have been nicer, he assisted me in putting my spare tire on, and away I went. I can't remember his name but he was a great guy and took care of my Audi in a busy street. I'm glad I avoided the tow truck company the police officer recommended, Atlantis saved the day! Scheduled a tow at 9:30am through my insurance and got stuck with these guys. Pick up was supposed to happen around 11:30 am but the service was rescheduled 3 times. Tried calling for but was met with vague updates, subsequent follow ups were ignored. Was promised a call back from the owner which never happened. Had to cancel the service at 5:00 as the destination stopped taking cars in the evening but Atlantis is now not picking up to confirm that the service has been cancelled. read more

I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Atlantis Towing. I stayed in my car for 4 hours waiting for them to show up, having been told a few times that they were fifteen minutes away. The original ETA was 1.5 hours. I asked another company to pick me up and they came in an hour as promised, unfortunately just a minute or two after Atlantis showed up. So not only was I disadvantaged (and lied to), also the other company's time was wasted. The only positive elements of my experience were that my car was treated well by the man who came to get me, and he was friendly and helpful. So I'd give him a good rating, but Atlantis gets one star from me. Such a frustrating day, so unprofessional. read more

I waited 5 hours for them to drive 4 miles to my house and that's after repeatedly calling them and USAA calling them. USAA won't be doing business with them again - that's how bad they suck. The WORST experience with any type of road side assistance I have ever had. Was given an estimated time of 90 minutes for arrival. After they were 20 minutes, I called Audi roadside assistance to get a status update. The company told Audi that they had truck troubles but fixed the issue and were on their way. Gave me estimate of 30 minutes to arrival. 50 minutes later they still had not shown up. After calling Audi again i was informed the company was 'having truck troubles and would arrive in an hour'. (Lies) Needless to say I cancelled and requested another company which gave me an estimate of 30 minutes and arrived 15 minutes early. Absolutely NEVER doing business with Atlantis towing. I would give 0 stars if i could. My car wouldnt start in a gas station parking lot. My roadside assistance called them at 12 noon to tow my car. I got an eta of 2pm. I called to check and they told me i didnt have to stay with the car. They called at 430 and when i didn't answer my phone they cancelled the tow, without leaving me a voicemail. I called them back at 5 and the driver said he had to contact his boss. He did not call me back. I called the main number 20 minutes later and they said they would call the driver. 2 hours later I hadn't heard anything so I called the main number again. They said they'd have the driver call me, which he actually did. He told me he was 30 minutes away and would do my car next. Three hours later (10pm) when I hadn't heard back from anyone I called the main number again. The dispatcher said the driver had an emergency and they had no other driver to pick up the car. After over 10 hours and multiple multiple calls I told them to cancel the call. I called roadside assistance again and requested a different company. Of course now it's 1030pm and they're having difficulty finding someone. read more

This was especially appreciated since it was 1AM!My car wouldnt start and the plan was to tow to a local dealership. He tried starting the car just in case and it worked! He was very helpful to explain what he thought might have been making it not start for me. I had a rental car through Payless rental car service at the airport and had accidentally locked my keys in the trunk of my car. I called roadside assistance and the roadside contact staff were awful and took 8 hours to get help to me. I asked for Atlantic Towings number to call them myself and once I spoke with an employee, they sent someone out to save me right away! The car didn't have a way to get to the trunk from the inside and the first drivers truck was too large to tow my vehicle out of this unfortunate small lot. The manager came right away to help his coworker and they both managed to get my trunk unlocked!!! I was SO very thankful to them!!! I was cold waiting and the driver made sure I was warm, was quicker than the rental car service assistance and was all around professional and very helpful. They turned my night around! After finally getting my keys after being stuck for 8 hours due to Payless (Atlantic towing only took a half hour!), the manager (I believe he's the owner!!) even escorted me to the airport drop off rental car exit to make sure I made it there safely! Again, very thankful and impressed with the staff that works at Atlantic Towing! I would recommend to everyone! read more

Everyone beware! This company accepted a dispatch by Geico to pick up my vehicle at Stephen's Auto Body in Melrose within 80 minutes to deliver to Theater Service Station in Winchester by 7pm. When they never followed through, I called their number around 7:45pm and was told by a gentlemen who answered from Atlantis that they have my car in their overnight storage and would not deliver until tomorrow morning because Theater Service Station was closed. I knew this was inaccurate because I had just spoken to Theater service station who was open and waiting for the vehicle (open until 10pm). When I asked the gentlemen to deliver the vehicle, he said he could not because he had an order to Geico to hold it overnight. I called Geico who reviewed that there was no order to hold my vehicle overnight, that it was ordered to be delivered to the Winchester Theater Service station. When Geico got Atlantis on the phone and inquired why they would not honor the order and release the vehicle to Theater Service Station, the same gentlemen from Atlantis first tried to state that the vehicle was in overnight storage and would be delivered in the morning. After pressuring further, he then admitted that he had lied and they had never picked up the vehicle. He stated that they arrived too late, the shop had closed and they planned on doing it in the morning. They intentionally lied to both myself and Geico by saying they had my vehicle in their possession when they had NEVER picked it up. My vehicle is still locked overnight at Stephen's Autobody. The Geico representative will file a complaint within their system. This was not a misunderstanding - it was intentionally misleading. The only motivation I can this of is that appears the man was motivated to lie and say they had picked up the vehicle so that they could deliver it in the morning and still collect the bill from Geico. Unfortunately, the lie did not work out since the repair shop was open until 10pm and waiting for my vehicle. read more
