The stylist got off the phone and began quickly cutting my hair for another five minutes and then said she was done. I told her this is to long and not the cut I showed her that she said she could do. Her response was she liked it and for me to give the cut a week and if I didn't like it I could come back! Needless to say ill never step foot into that establishment and have warned anyone looking to stay clear.

At the time, I was living in Stecoah Valley (Graham County) and it would take me an hour and a half to get to the salon, but because I have a long history of subpar haircuts, I felt it would be worth the time and effort. I was the first appointment of her day on a Saturday morning, and I knew that I wanted to be punctual for her, because I understand how it can impact a stylist's entire days schedule when they have tardy clients. I foolishly expected the same courtesy and respect for time to be extended to me. When I was roughly 30 minutes away from the Salon I received a phone call from reception asking if they could push my appointment out by half an hour. I let them know that I had other plans that day that I might end up being late for if I could not leave the salon at the same time. Long story short, they kept my appointment as it was and Madison walked through the door at my original appointment time. My haircut was technically sound, but the bangs were way too short, which is commonly what usually happens to me. My husband called them "toddler length" because they were the length that we used to give our daughter's bangs so that we could go longer between trimming. During the haircut I asked for a price for highlights and was taken aback by what I was quoted and realized that even though I had short hair and only average density, Madison's prices were what I would expect for hair that is more labor intensive (longer, thicker, denser). For reference, if I were to book 3 hours with Madison under the current all inclusive pricing, it would cost me less than the price range that she quoted me. I have NEVER heard of such exorbitant prices before and I was coming from a California economy. Overall, I've had better haircuts and several more worse ones, but based on the experience that I had here I wasn't going to be going back. The salon seems to have a high end vibe, but they did not deliver a high end experience at all.

Atlas Beauty salon is nice and clean. Love love the windows because I can see out the window but no one can see me in the window so for the fact that the salon does provide a form of security and privacy is awesome! Donovan is at a great place I am so happy for him and what great service ....Donovan has done again, my love my haircut and my shampoo experience was just wonderful! The Lord Himself knew exactly what I needed. Atlas Beauty fulfilled that need. To my surprise my legs were elevated during my shampoo experience. The shampoo chair was comfortable and it provided support for my neck and back and no worries of water r running down my back....so relaxing, so refreshing, and so elevated!!! Donovan just know you will be seeing Lulu a lot more often now. I love the window treatments too... there are some pretty pink dainty ornaments hanging in the windows love it! Last, but not least, in spite of Covid-19, I have to say the owner who owns this beauty salon, Atlas Beauty that is, has done a great job and making sure the bathrooms are sanitized after every visit.... Greater assurance that the owner of this salon has the customer and employees at heart when it comes to protecting one's health. I have been wanting to get my hair cut completely different for about a month. Didn't trust the place I was going to so I did a Google search for salons around me. Atlas beauty come up and I thought ok this place looks good. I booked an appointment with Faith. I showed her the picture of what I wanted to shoot for. All of the stylists are so skilled and knowledgeable. I've been going here since it opened and I can't say enough good things -- from preparing for a wedding or photos or other large event to getting my hair colored, adding hand-tied extensions and completely changing my look -- owner and hair chemist Jenna is amazing. Jenna totally listened to what I wanted, suggested some ideas, and made me leave feeling like a new woman. It does not remotely look the same.
