Leah did a great job! Literally the best haircut I have ever had! Leah really listened to me and made sure that I got what I wanted and even surpassed what I hoped for. I have long hair and other stylists I have gone to would only give me layers at the bottom, but not Leah! She took the time to listen and understand what I wanted and even offered advice and options for different facial framing and bangs that were suited to my face and type of hair. Then she worked her magic and I couldn't be more pleased! As soon as we were done and I saw what she did, I had to ask her to send me pictures so that I could show my mom who has been sick of hearing me cry and complain after every haircut, but not this one! She was so impressed that now she wants to get her haircut by Leah, as well! Also, the salon itself is quite nice. Good atmosphere; clean; everyone was wearing masks and practicing Covid-safety. I love coming to this great West Asheville location. They have interesting decor and nice atmosphere. My stylist is Johnathan, who happens to be a man of many creative talents, though I know him best as a blonde hair magician/wizard. He is a great listener and can make very subtle adjustments to the tone and hue of my hair and it always looks beautiful. I am also able to wait a long time in between my hair appointments because he does so well at blending and keeping it natural. His hair cuts are on point and he has helped me grow my hair out, while keeping it interesting along the way. I had to post photos because he is so talented, and I wanted to share it with anyone new in town, or needing a change, who might be looking to find a good colorist/stylist. I have attempted to get a hair appointment three times. I called and left a message once and texted twice and never received a return call. I have to assume that they had no appointments but I don't really know that for sure because nobody called me back. I think it's a poor business model not to return calls and because the way this request was treated I can only give them one star and recommend against this business read more

I have baby thin hair, well yuck! I called got an appointment with Jules about two weeks later she's busy but worth the wait. She works really well with thin hair. She did a great cut the first time waiting for a portion of my hair to grow In for the second cut. The second cut is just fantastic I absolutely love it. I have an inverted A line!! She really pays attention to what you want and goes out of her way to give you a great cut. She's not cheap my first haircut was 100 my second 85 but she is so worth it IF you want your hair to look great when you fix it yourself after the cut. Jules is fantastic!! I highly recommend her but don't too many of you people go to her so that I can't get an appointment LOL. read more

Jessi did a wonderful job cutting my fiancé's hair. He has had very long hair for at least a decade and decided it was time to cut it ALL off. He wasn't exactly sure what sort of cut or style he wanted because he's never had short hair. Jessi made him look even more handsome that he already was, and he totally loves his cut. He actually has been growing annoyed with all the compliments he is getting at work! Lol The salon is really beautiful and I had a very comfortable waiting area to sit in while he was back getting cut. Melanie has been doing my hair for 5 years! She also did my bridal party hair and my wedding day hair. She also did my vowel renewal hair. Without a doubt Mel has such a skillful hand, creative mind, ability to listen to your beauty needs and such a passion for her career calling. I would refer to Melanie to any and everybody without reservation. She is so skilled at men's hair style too. She also has a big network and will ensure all your beauty needs are met. Naomi, who is currently at Bari Salon in Asheville, NC, has cut my hair twice. The first time, she saved my hair by using a conditioning treatment and giving me a very good haircut after a bad perming experience. I was so pleased and excited that I found a great new hair stylist. Well, the second time I came to her, she dry-cut my hair. Afterwards, she asked me if I wanted the wash in a manner that conveyed she did not want to do it. I assumed that I would only be charged for the cut. While the hair cut is good, it is not worth what she charged me. She asked me to pay a whopping $65. I asked her if that was without the wash. She reduced the price to $55 AND I paid with cash, which other stylists have a cash discount. I later called her to explain that I felt like she overcharged. I would like to remind you that she did NOT use ANY product in my hair or styling instruments. She sat me in the chair and took a maximum of 20 minutes to cut my hair and I was sent out the door. She was rude and not receptive. I will never sit in her chair, or any chair at Bari Salon ever again. Her business ethics are horrible. She no longer has my recommendation. read more

Not really a review writer but had to throw out a good word for Naomi at bari. She was meticulous with my hair. I have thick, coarse hair that has seen a lot of "meh" cuts, but Naomi knew exactly what to do with it! Her attention to detail was on point; I love the shape of my short style! Naomi Yount has been cutting my hair for 10+ years and I can say that I have never had a bad cut. She really is a hair magician! I would, and do, recommend her to everyone, as people compliment me on my hair all the time. I see someone complained about her prices, but honestly she is worth every penny. It should be known that she is a Master Stylist, and has had some if the best training there is. Finding a hair dresser you trust is hard. That's why I'm writing this review because more women need to find their perfect hair dresser and Naomi can be it. She can just look at you and your hair and know what to do that will look best.
