The entrance and seating area for Atlas Chicken Shack

Visit Date: Sep. 7, 2024 I've never been in the town of Geneva but have always wanted to visit as they host the Geneva Concours d'Elegance every year. Fortunately, this time around, my friends and I were just a stones throw away and spontaneously visited Geneva. Naturally we were all feeling a bit snackish. And that's where Atlas Chicken comes into the picture. The chicken shack looked warm, cute, and inviting as you walk by it. Their process was simple, you order your food at the window and they'll call your name once it's ready. Their staff was helpful with my questions regarding the food and were overall pleasant to work with. Food came out in a timely manner for a very busy Sunday afternoon as the Town was hosting some events at the same time. This was definitely a plus! I got myself their crispy chicken sandwich topped off with their honey mustard and citrus-paprika mayo with a side of rice balls and cabbage & carrot coleslaw. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and tender, but made all the better with the sauces I added! This was the highlight of my meal for sure. The rice balls were a great add-on, but unfortunately I couldn't say the same for the 'slaw. The coleslaw was a more bitter than preferred. Overall, my time at Atlas Chicken was a pleasant one with friends that enjoyed their respective dishes. No one left unhappy! John C.

Had lunch hear a few weeks ago. There are better options in the area. It is window service with a few picnic tables set up which is fine. The order took a long time for some tenders and fries because they were out of mac and cheese at 12:30 on a Saturday. The portions of both were very small for the price. The chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil, which was very unappealing. had the creamy chipotle sauce which was very thin and almost had a slimy texture. The fries were good. For the portion size to price ratio, and the fact the chicken tasted like old oil, I won't be back.

I was impressed with Atlas Chicken Shack. It's super casual, which is nice. You order at the counter and then grab a picnic table under the shade. There's a bar and back and when the food is ready, they call your name and you go to the window and pick it up. We ended up splitting one of the bowls with grilled chicken, the one with kale and broccoli, with the green chili dressing. It was so yummy. We also got an order of chicken tenders and fries with barbecue and honey mustard dipping sauces. The tenders were juicy on the inside and had a nice breading on the outside and the fries are good. Also, our friend ordered the rice balls, which were perfect decadent cheesy fried rice goodness.

It really is a shack, with a fair amount of outdoor seating. You order on the side of the building. I had the chicken strips and rice balls. Both were really good. The chicken tasted fresh and I liked the breading on it! I liked that they offered cheesy fried rice balls as a side purely because it is unique. They were tasty! I believe 4 pieces came in an order. They also sell a flavor of the day slushy and lemonade. I had a lemonade. It was very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and service was quick.

Love atlas. Would typically give it a 5/5. But i cannot do so tonight. Chicken is overcooked and the rice balls were overcooked. Overcooked to the point where half of the ball is missing. I had to move it to one star after my girlfriend found a staple in the bottom of her fries.

This walkup window place is convenient for takeout and they have a few tables in the alley (wonder how it will go in winter). If you like crispy chicken, they've got it, in several iterations such as a sandwich or tenders. There are multiple sauce choices; I didn't care for the ranch (too much dill?) I got a honey butter biscuit but it was rather...floury? Not my favorite. As to drinks, I got lemonade and my mom got a watermelon slushie (made with real melon, you could see the seeds); both refreshing on a hot day. It's nice to have this fast-casual option in Downtown Geneva if you're on the go and don't want to wait for sit down service everywhere else.

Outstanding chicken. From smell to crust to the tenderness and taste of the chicken is just outstanding! Even the sauces were impeccable. Unique homey sauces that pairs excellent with the chicken. Definitely gonna be a frequent customer here! It's that finger licking good!

Food is ok. Do not order the fries. Always cold and soggy. They should take them off the menu. Been disappointed so many times.

She was very friendly and asked if this was my first time and she explained the menu and the different options. I really appreciated her and that level of service For my late breakfast, early lunch... I got the Daves Big Trio with Hot as my pick. It came with 6 Bites, 4 mini sliders, and 2 pieces of Mozzarella sticks and 3 sauces. Everything was crispy and delicious. For someone who does eat spicy food... Hot was perfect. The first few bites, I thought "Oh...not bad at all...not spicy tho". However, the hot just kept building and building and around halfway mark, I had to drink some water and it was creeping towards "wow..spicer than I was prefer to eat as an everyday thing". Overall, the food was delicious, and hot was hot. I would return in the future.

It took about half an hour to get our food. We enjoyed watching Deal or No Deal on the TV while we waited lol. The guys working were really friendly, brought our food to us and even asked us how we liked the food. I would probably only order takeout from here in the future because they had those orders ready on time. I ordered the 6 piece boneless wing combo, which comes with fries and (possibly?) a drink. I did not realize that I could only choose one or the other for the combo: a drink or side of sauce. While ordering on the kiosk, I selected cheese sauce and it replaced my drink because they were under the same category of options, which I didn't even notice. Although I felt like it was my fault for not double-checking, I still don't think a tiny container of sauce is a fair drink substitute... oh well. Another thing to note is that online when placing an order/viewing the menu, it says the combo comes with a 20oz bottle of soda even though they only had 12oz cans in stock. I think these discrepancies could easily be fixed, and might prevent some confusion/disappointment among future customers. I appreciate that they gave me two extra wings because the boneless are somewhat tiny. For my sauce on the wings, I chose to try the Buldak-Gochujang and it was a little sweet with a hint of spice. The plain fries were just okay. They offer a bunch of different topping options for the fries, which I might be interested in trying next time.

When we arrived, there was no one else waiting and I'd guess that only 75% of the tables had customers. Couldn't have been more wrong in our decision as we waited for over an hour post ordering before we actually received our meal. This is the longest we have waited for breakfast... EVER. Anyone with kids knows having kids sit still and wait with minimal sources of entertainment is hard enough, then add hunger to the equation and it's a recipe for disaster. What could have made our experience better? 1 - Be transparent about your delays upfront -- Empower your diners to make a decision around whether they'd want to wait or not given how busy you are. Don't continue to seat customers when your kitchen is severely behind and hope diners don't notice. 2 - A small gesture goes a long way -- It would have been nice for SC to offer a couple of biscuits given the excessive wait. 3 - Don't add insult to injury... by bringing butter and ketchup 30+ minutes before the meal arrives. It added to the frustration that even my 7yo remarked "what are we going to do with butter, we have no food". They offered more water even when all our water cups were clearly full. Don't really understand how more water would make us less hungry? Looking at another recent 1-star review, I can see the same pattern as our experience. This restaurant clearly doesn't fail gracefully on busy days... and they don't seem to care either. At the conclusion of our meal, we didn't even get the typical "how was your meal" question from anyone. I guess they already knew.
