I love Atlas Chicken and they have been a Geneva staple for me for many years. You can tell their chicken is hand-breaded and the tenders are a realistic size, versus the over-engineered massive tenders you get a cheap chain brands. All of the tenders are soft and juicy and their sauce options pair well with the tenders. I especially love the chipotle mayo!! I used to love Chicken and I am hoping this is a one off. Sometimes when you make it big, you let down your guard, get sloppy, and don't pay attention to the details. Visit Date: Sep. 7, 2024 I've never been in the town of Geneva but have always wanted to visit as they host the Geneva Concours d'Elegance every year. Their process was simple, you order your food at the window and they'll call your name once it's ready. Their staff was helpful with my questions regarding the food and were overall pleasant to work with. Food came out in a timely manner for a very busy Sunday afternoon as the Town was hosting some events at the same time. This was definitely a plus! I got myself their crispy chicken sandwich topped off with their honey mustard and citrus-paprika mayo with a side of rice balls and cabbage & carrot coleslaw. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and tender, but made all the better with the sauces I added! This was the highlight of my meal for sure. Had lunch hear a few weeks ago. There are better options in the area. It is window service with a few picnic tables set up which is fine. The order took a long time for some tenders and fries because they were out of mac and cheese at 12:30 on a Saturday. The portions of both were very small for the price. The chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil, which was very unappealing. had the creamy chipotle sauce which was very thin and almost had a slimy texture. The fries were good. I was impressed with Atlas Chicken Shack. It's super casual, which is nice. You order at the counter and then grab a picnic table under the shade. There's a bar and back and when the food is ready, they call your name and you go to the window and pick it up. We ended up splitting one of the bowls with grilled chicken, the one with kale and broccoli, with the green chili dressing. It was so yummy. My girlfriend and I have walked by this place multiple times and every time it's been packed. We finally decided to give it a try and were a little disappointed. We both got chicken sandwiches that were unfortunately just barely warm. Same thing with the fries unfortunately, wish they were hot and slightly crispier. My girlfriend got the fried chicken sandwich and was disappointed that the chicken patty was just three small tenders in a bun. Maybe 4 ounces of chicken. I got the grilled chicken sandwich that was nice and juicy but again just lukewarm. I had the BBQ sauce on my sandwich - which was sweet and tangy with a solid amount of pepper. I will say that that the sauce options were awesome. My girlfriend loved the dill ranch sauce and thought the chipotle and the paprika mayo were also very good. Overall not bad, just a little disappointing to have lukewarm food when there was only one person in front of us in line. The portions were somewhat smaller than the traditional chicken restaurants you think of at a similar price point. Sandi and I met a friend for lunch today at Atlas Chicken Shack. In a quest to check out new restaurants especially ones with an outside picnic area and bar we ventured forth into the establishment. Once inside I am reminded of an old time fast food restaurant with not a lot of seating but tons of attitude. You will find a lot more seating with a window and a little vibration tool that tells you your food is ready. And your food is all about chicken. We ordered a large order of herb encrusted chicken with sides of home made cole slaw and beans and rice. My wife thought the chicken was a little salty and I believe that and the herbs give it character. I could see this outside bar and seating area filled on a Summer evening. It was my first time here giving it a shot. On a cold Friday night their pos system went whack and didn't work when I arrived there. But that's was alright I understand things happen at least it was back on pretty swiftly. The cashier and line cook were very nice, the manager on duty not really, no hello welcome or anything. The the line cook gave me some good recommendations on what he liked. I couldn't decide on what kind of sauce to put on my bowl, so I decide to try all of them, but when I got home I noticed I was charged for 8 at $0.35 cents but only had 7. Anyways, they ran out of rice for my bowl after I ordered and so I subbed it for additional chicken and black beans. The grilled chicken was bland. The citrus slaw was tasty and the fried rice balls were good. The sauces at least the 7 that I had made the chicken go from blah to woo yum. Every town needs a place like this. So old school, quaint really and good for a quick bite. Having said that, I would say give it a try, but don't expect too much. Management seem to take a laissez-faire attitude with staff. No one seems too enthusiastic about anything. The food wasn't bad, and we were glad we stopped just because it reminded us of all the dirty spoons we had been to in the past when this sort of sidewalk eatery was more common, some of them very good indeed. I've been to this place countless times, I used to get it on my lunch breaks practically everyday. The quality is unmatched and it's affordable too. I love the chicken sand which with Buffalo and honey on it. My favorite side is the fried rice balls, crunchy on the outside gooey and cheesy on the inside PHENOMENAL! In the summer there watermelon slush is so refreshing. They also have good bowls if you're looking for something on the healthier side. The spicy broccoli salad has to be my #1 if I'm getting a bowl. The chicken strips were for my son. We ordered three and got four. I had one. They are super peppery. Now, for a place without a kids menu, you have to figure the chicken fingers are good for kids. Luckily my son likes pepper, but I don't. Kill the pepper on the strips a) it's just too much pepper b) if a family comes here make the strips more kid friendly. I repeat, kill the pepper in the batter. The rice balls and tomato siracha sauce were delicious, once again. Okay, the critique...the kids working the register were goofy. Lots of awkward laughing, it makes a customer feel weird. Tell those kids to cut it out. Be professional, learn that lesson early; it will be a God send to them. Also, why not include a dipping sauce with the strips? They need it and it's just protocol. Also the menu said $.50 for sauce. I only got charged $.25, and thank goodness. The sauce was half full. For a quarter, it was fine, but I'd have been upset at fifty cents. Lastly, the pickles that come either the fried chicken were room temp. Gross. Chill those pickles! They are done, but for $1.50 for the side, I would never. We'll go back. The friend chicken and balls are worthy, but I hope they work out some of the kinks, including the less than desirable customer service. read more

Well the people here are great. Three grilled chicken sandwiches 1130am on Saturday and all three chicken were cold bread was super cold and edges really hard.. Fries tasted decent. First time we went three weeks ago and same food was amazing. This time it was so cold I reheated sandwiches on the stove cause I wouldn't and couldn't let my kids eat such cold sandwiches. Called the place and asked them is it suppose to be cold. Was told grilled chicken is pre cooked so yes and bread is suppose to be at room temperature as they don't warm it up. Everyone told me this place was the bomb...well, I tried it yesterday and was kind of disappointing. I ordered the seven piece chicken tenders and an order of fries. I was going to take it home for my daughter as an after school snack to share. When we opened the bag the tenders looked very brown and over cooked. Well, that was exactly what they were. I really wish that I would have opened the bag when I was there because I would have said something to them to see if someone had made a mistake and that they could remake them. Instead the chicken was ONLY 3 small chicken pieces barely covering the bun and also chicken was a bit dry. NO PICKLES. We were excited to try the pickles.
