Would not recommend!! John Atayya promised a lot more than what the workers did!! Had to call them back several times and they buried their extra concrete and trash in our backyard. The caulked joint between the brick veneer and Hardiplank of my home had separated by 1/4" over the past few years. I asked Atlas Foundation if this was an indication that the slab had cracked. After reviewing my concerns, Trey of Atlas evaluated level deviations of the slab inside the house and confirmed that the slab was well within specifications and had not settled. He recommended that no work was required. He recommended soaker hoses around the front of the house to minimize volume changes of the soil between wet and dry periods. 10/30/25 If I could give them 0 starts I would. I was coerced/manipulated with scare tactics into a 5 day turnaround from quote to construction. Atlas sent someone to manipulate me, and rush into a job without disclosures they should have provided. In short, my floor is no longer flush, and more cracks have arised, as well as a potential future risk to my pool because they dug less than 2 feet from the pool. They did not care to disclose risk of the job, and only cared about getting me scheduled as fast as possible so I'd have no time to do any due diligence. They used deceptive trade practices, and are willfully negligent pushing jobs that technically do not need to occur. I have had multiple second opinions since the rushed work was completed, and all of them counter the scare tactics the Atlas representative used to get me to accept the job. I was told if I did not do the repairs (Two 1 inch adjustments to a hallway), that when I call them again in the future instead of just digging outside they would have to dig inside my actual house costing me way more money! This is deceptive trade practices, fraud, and coercion just to make money off people like myself who believe companies like this do honest work... THEY DO NOT! The only people in the company doing an honest job are the actual workers. The lead foreman was nice enough to be honest with me, which is what inevitably led to my disgust with this company! 11/11/25 Update After the work was completed I was sure the work done was done poorly, and go figure I was right again. The work was done incorrectly, and now Atlas is going to have to come out and re-dig everything. Had there been a post work check/walk through with me this would have been prevented. Now I have new damage in the areas where the work was done, and more costs in damages have been incurred. Atlas is responsible for all the damage because my home did not technically need the work for natural settling (1inch or less). This company coerced me to do the work with scare tactics, and now I'm stuck trusting a company that has done incorrect foundation work on my home. I expect Atlas to rectify all the damages caused as a result of pushing/rushing the project. The negligence here just keeps piling up, as well as the damages created by the work. This is unacceptable business practices, and I hope Atlas is going to do right by me and correct the work, as well as pick up the repair costs for the imposed damages created by coercing/forcing me into this job with scare tactics. I had Camilo Bustos come to my house yesterday and attest to everything I am saying. I hope Atlas does right by me, and not only corrects the piers they placed. Atlas over raised new piers they added incorrectly, which has led to tile and wall cracking, as well as making my floor uneven when it was originally perfect. The damages continue to accrue daily. It's crazy to think I told the original foreman on the job I felt the work was off/incorrect, and he told me it was a floor issue. Come to find out I was right, and a tenured foreman was incorrect. All this could have been prevented if Atlas had more transparent business practices, such as a post job walk through. I'm disgusted with the way I was handled by Atlas thus far, and I'm hoping they are going to make it right. read more

So initially - i was pleased with Chad and the rest of the crew with how they showed up on time, cleaned up and fixed my mother's foundation during the winter months. I was told to call utilities before digging, which I did. I was also told that some of the landscape bushes would be uprooted and re-planted and there would be 2 holes in her brick porch but they could give me a referral to someone who could fix the holes afterwards for around $500. Obviously, foundation work is not cheap and we wanted to get a more clear idea of the overall cost of the job. Everyone showed up on time - great. The foreman gave us a quick explanation of what to expect that day. My mom pointed out the heads of the irrigation sprinklers which were very clear and told "I see them". The job was finished quickly and landscape put back. After waiting the suggested 6-8 weeks for things to "settle", got quote from their brick repair for $2665 to fix the 2 holes! MUCH different than what was initially estimated at $500!! I did not make a big deal about it since I did not hold them to a 3rd party vendor pricing even though it COMPLETELY blows the overall cost of the foundation repair making them extremely $$$$. When the weather got warmer - we turned on her irrigation system and we noticed that the zone that waters her front landscape where they dug wasn't working. Again - we just assumed maybe they cut a wire since that would be hard to see - we finally got an irrigation guy to come out and that's where it was shown that they struck an underground irrigation pipe right next to a head when they installed one of the piers. Ok, mistakes happen - no problem, I'm sure they will come out and see how obvious it was and take care of it, right? Wrong! The only thing I keep hearing over and over again - is that I should have read the contract better - irrigation lines must be SPRAY PAINTED by the owner and they take no responsibility for broken pipes! They didn't even suggest coming out and taking a look - they just want to hide behind "policy". So I guess had the water been turned on at the time of the repair and they struck water at the time, I still have heard that "it's policy" and they would have refused to repair it? At the end of the day - I can't recommend a company that can't put caring about their customer first - as senior citzens trying to stay on a budget, to be so rude as to say it's policy that if irrigation isn't spray painted they won't fix it...wow.. 5 star companies value customers first - it's easy to say you care when everything goes well. The truth shines when problems occur and how they "turf" you off. read more

I had really hoped after all the great reviews Atlas would help us. Why, oh why , do we need foundation repair 3 times in 10 years? My answer is Atlas has no business doing work. They send out people that are first time on the job. I asked them about thos 2 yrs ago and thet said he was the best! Well, the best has landed us back to reality of where they.. ...Atlas...doesnt know what they are doing. Please take my advice and dont even consider doing business with them. We got a quote from this company that was $10,000 higher than the competing quotes we got. $10K!! We already had a foundation report from an independent surveyor, and all that Atlas did was count the piers on the report and send us a quote for $800 per pier. They did not provide their own drawing of any proposed work, just an email stating 26 piers at $800 = $20,800. Needless to say, we did not use them. If you are considering this company, you really owe it to your pocketbook to shop around. read more

Matthew came out to give an estimate on our foundation. I had already had 2. He checked the level throughout the house and said there was only one spot that wasn't totally level and it would not require a foundation repair. He had me go through with him to see it. I am so thankful that he was honest and didn't just say I needed the repair. To find honest people is worth so much. Matthew also went above and beyond expectations by explaining that to keep a healthy foundation I need to put soaker hoses around the whole house and water 20 minutes in the morning and evening...not to sell me anything but to be sure I keep a healthy foundation. I didn't get any work done by Atlas, but just had to leave a review to note how professional and honest Shelton is! We had him come by to evaluate our crawlspace under a house we just bought. He could have made up a million little things we needed to buy, services to purchase, but he did not. He was extremely honest and told us the crawlspace looked great and needed no work. I am writing this review in hopes that no one else has the issues I have been dealing with for over a year by Atlas foundation. After speaking with many foundation contractors to correct my foundation issues,I finally decided on Atlas Foundation - what a mistake! I hired atlas foundation to fix my foundation and replace the plumbing under the house...what a mistake!after they finished the original job, i had to call them back for warranty work and that is when the over a year long nightmare started..they put poly to supposedly fix the problem and it only caused more problems..it has literally split my one story part of my house from the 2 story part of the house! i paid them over 30,000 plus and additional 26,000 to a contractor to replace walls, carpet, tile etc, and now the house is in worse shape then before they started. i am a widow on a fixed income so coming up with more money to fix this disaster is not to likely...i have now contacted another foundation company, du-west foundation, ( I spoke with Jim Dutton 713-476-7156 )who tells me that the work was not done properly, that the piers are to far apart,that poly never should have been used on a house, and that it would cost me 101,774.00 to completely redo just the foundation work, not to mention all the interior work that now has to be done as the walls are now cracked worse than before, atlas tore up my carpeting recutting new holes in the floors, all my new tile is now broken and will have to be replaced, etc.. he said i would do better tearing down the first story completely and just building a new first floor from the ground up. i cannot believe that a company can do all this damage to a persons house and just walk away....Atlas also told me that if i wanted them to do anything, i would have to sign my lifetime warranty away before they would do anything...after months of threats from them, i finally signed the release and they paid me a pittance and i believe they knew all along how bad off my house was...i felt that i had to sign or get nothing all.... i have dates of all the times they came back out to work on the foundation under the warranty, lots of photos of everything they did from day one and how it increasingly got worse...for example...you can stand in my kitchen doorway and look thru a separation of over 2 inches into another room in my house...i have had to put foam in the separation on the outside of my house to keep my air conditioning or heating from just flowing outside...when i say it is bad, you have to see it to believe it! the wall in one of the rooms is completely separated at the top and bottom and the wall is literally laying on the second story room! I am a widow on a fixed income and I feel that they totally took advantage of me. You cannot sue them as per their contract, you have to go to arbitration and I was told by numerous attorneys that it could cost me upward of 35,000 to take them to arbitration...I do not have that type of funding to do that....I would hate for this to happen to anyone else! We spent a huge amount of money to get our foundation fixed and were left with huge new cracks, uneven floors, holes in our floor, carpet cut outside the closet door, it wasn't even leveled under the carpet, and a 3 inch jacked up break in our driveway which Is a tripping hazard. (broke my elbow). They did a rush job to stay on schedule. We now need repairs to our walls , floors and driveway that will be as expensive as their foundation "repair". About a year ago, we endured the foundation project from he**--the worst-case scenario: a massive tilt in our foundation, requiring the installation of supports not only beneath nearly the entire perimeter of the house exterior but all throughout the interior of our home as well. From the moment their estimator Buddy came to our house to examine our issue and bid on the job, I felt confident it would get done right and that he and his company would take care of us. And so they did! Bear in mind that Atlas is one of the most experienced foundation repair companies in Houston. They been there, done that for years, no matter how challenging the job. You can tell they know exactly what they are doing, every step of the way. And they care about their customers. When I told the crew leader Bonita (a professional with saintly composure and patience), that my wife and I would ride out the week's project by moving upstairs, she taped off the area with large plastic sheets so very little dust got through to our living space, even as the downstairs was piled and swirling with concrete dust from the jackhammering. Atlas was one of only two companies recommended by the independent engineer who had analyzed our sorrowful foundation, which he was skeptical could be cost-effectively fixed. But, as I have said and never tire of repeating, Atlas came through for us. I could go on and on about the quality of their work--so I will! The aftermath of the project? No new cracks in the walls, no major problems--two repairs to exterior plumbing, likey the unraveling of misalignments from years of foundation stress. Altas leveled our house back to code and even better, an outcome which no one else who had looked at our problem considered possible. We have had foundation piers put in the interior of our house. I wanted to comment on all the workers who have been part of this effort. First, the crew that did all the tunneling worked very hard digging all the tunnels in difficult soil. They are clearly very good at a very difficult job that no one ever praises them for doing. I would also like to say how impressed I was with Diego who supervised the raising of the center of the house and Carlos Torres the plumber who repaired the sewer pipe leaks under the house. Diego raised the individual piers slowly and with precision, and I could see doors coming slowly back to level. I was impressed with his professionalism. Carlos worked slowly testing for leaks in the sewer pipes and identified them. Then he did a very professional job of repairing and replacing as needed. My thoughts were confirmed when he did not return my email messages and phone calls to arrange for him to come back out. I am an 84 year old retired teacher living alone on my retirement check. I live in Bay City, TX in an old house and the flooring started giving in. I hired Atlas to do the repairs under the house. That meant new beams and joists. I gave them 1/2 at the start of the project to pay them at the end if everything was done satisfactorily. The total cost was $19,488 for the job. We thought everything was going pretty good, in spite of the many days of rain when they couldn't get under the house. They finally "finished" up on July 26 and 27, but because they had put holes in some on the siding on the house, I gave them a check for 1/2 of what I owed, telling them they would get the rest of the money when they caulked the holes. They came back this past Monday and took care of the caulking and I paid the remainder of what I owed. Today, my daughter and I started the tearing up of the bathroom floor so we could put new flooring in that part of the house. This is when she discovered that the new joists were slapped together with 1 nail to a rotten joist. My daughter could move the new joists up and down and back and forth with 1 hand. Not a lot of support there under the toilet. I know they have my money, but I am going to do all I can to get the word out on what an awful job they did on my house and hope nobody else has to deal with the mess I have here. I've already told 1 friend who was looking for someone to do similar work what they did to me. That's 1 potential customer scared away. How I wish I had read the reviews before I hired them. read more

I recently bought a house in missourri and the seller gave us a copy that the house was done by atlas in 2018 with lifetime guarantee and transferable . When we called Atlas they told me the guarantee is void because the transfer should be done within 90 days from the purchase date. This is ridiculous because a house is not going to move Anywhere the guarantee of the work is for the house not the owner . We have a house I. Dickinson and when we bought it the transferred was easy and no fee required. If you need a foundation use Du west don't use Atlas. This company need to be reported to Bb read more

Very disappointed in the Atlas team's ability to coordinate and schedule a simple appointment. Two separate incidents and they both resulted in us waiting around with the homeowner for communication. I had called to confirm my appointment the day before, and received verbal confirmation that it had been written down in the schedule book. The contractor did not show up to the appointment and it was because it had been "squeezed in"? We had scheduled it three days prior and when I was scheduling it, I distinctly remember the scheduler saying that the entire Friday morning was open. We chose 10 am and waited for 45 minutes to be notified that the contractor would not be showing up. Miscommunication to this level is truly unacceptable. read more

We were dreading finding out how bad our foundation was after some leaking with Hurricane Harvey. Called Atlas Foundation because they are sponsors of the Michael Berry Show and they sent someone out. Enter Eric Ewing: he called to confirm the appointment, showed up exactly on time, and started work immediately. After thoroughly examining our house and foundation, inside and out, he told us that it wasn't the problem. Then went on to explain the probable cause and how to fix it. What a relief! I don't recommend Atlas. Look elsewhere if you want a company that stands behind their work and not be overcharged. Also, they will not call you back. Their lifetime warranty is a joke. You will always be charged on work that should be covered under warranty. Update as of Feb 4, 2020: I still have not received a call back from Atlas regarding my foundation problems. I currently have massive gaps under my home because they did not fill in with enough dirt that was removed. I have to get someone else to bring the dirt to correct their poor job. I started calling them in Oct, 2019. I have used them for 20+ years. Avoid them at all costs. They will make your house worse than it was. Horrible company and staff, including management. read more

I discovered water leaking up thru my foundation at my kitchen sink drain line, indicating a line break under the foundation. My research concluded that tunneling under the foundation would be a better repair option than busting through our nice wood floors. So I call around for estimates from companies who do "tunneling" jobs like this. Of the 4 I contacted, Atlas was the only biz that didn't demand $200-250 up front for testing/inspection BEFORE they would quote me a price. I eventually begged those companies for a "best guess" estimate, and they were all higher (one nearly 2X) than what Atlas ended up billing me. Jared and Carlos and another guy arrived on time when they said they would to do my estimate, and did the camera inspection and pressure testing of the line as part of their estimate. I was impressed they didn't demand an advance fee for that as seems to be standard in the industry, but I understand...its a time consuming process using expensive equipment. So I was very happy with their bid to fix the job, they started and finished when they said they would, and I cant imagine a better experience. I was referred to Atlas by my neighbor who had foundation leveling done by them and neighbor was equally impressed by their work. read more

When I made the appt. for a free estimate, I asked what the procedure was regarding Covid hygiene, as I we were compromised and we had stayed home to prevent and contact of Covid for the past 6 months. They assured me they would come with gloves, mask and booties. When the worker showed up, his mask was hanging below his nose and when I asked him to please put on booties, his attitude came through. Told me he would take his boots off....well who wants his stinky feet floating through their house. My husband then asked him to wear gloves 2ice.....the worker never responded. My husband had to ask him "please" and you could tell the guy was ticked off...he then proceeded to put the gloves on as if he was stuffing his whole body in them. Ripping them to pieces. WHAT AN ATTITUDE!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have kicked him out of my house right then and there. NO ONE comes MY house and tells me what to do! His sale was full of FLUFF. Get to the point...I'm NOT stupid! ATTITUDE ruined the deal, not to mention his lack of respect continually roaming through my house over and over touching knobs/light switches!! He suggested we get a structural Engineer out to verify what needed to be done. I said isn't that what you are supposed to tell me? He responded : "One would think so". DUH! The quote was RIDICULOUS and more than half of another reputable local family owned company we had out. #1 I found out they contract out instead of having their own team do the work....so that jacks the price up. We have been dealing with Atlas for about 6 months now, due to the major damage our previous foundation company repair left us in. I won't lie it was a little difficult to get a quote and have someone return our calls once we had a rep come out to look at our home. But once we were able to contact the sales rep, and get the team lined up for our time frame all the of the work started. We had to fix the outside of our home, the middle of our home as well as all of the plumping under our home. It was an absolute nightmare on what we had to deal with our home but atlas was able to fix our home and I was able to use my front door for the first time in 4 years. Their crew they have working for them is great and explained everything. They informed us on what to look for, on what could happen and when to call if something should change. My house is not longer a fish bowl, my doors open and close and the crack in my walls have gone down and we are ready to remodel a little. I would recommend atlas anytime for foundation repair. read more
