Two Brothers Were Terrific Walking into my daughter's bedroom felt like entering a funhouse at an amusement park. That's how slanted it was. Windows and the door didn't close. Until Two Brothers set me straight, I lived in a crooked little house. One could see it leaning from the street. Even bricks were popping out. And a brick wall actually moved when pushed! Now everything closes smoothly and the floor is level again. Two Brothers did a fabulous thorough job at a very reasonable cost. My foundation shifted due to the drought of 2011. In 2013 Olshan was working next door. I invited their guy over and he said, without even measuring, that raising my foundation would cost around $25,000! "See the direction that crack runs? That means you have serious problems." Gulp! My serious problems remained static until Harvey came along. We flooded and couldn't fix our floors and walls until we repaired our foundation. Expecting the worst, I commissioned five bids from highly rated companies on Angie's list. Bids ranged from $3660 to $14,400. Aaron Lipman, one of the two brothers, presented the most compelling, professional, and understandable solution. He's a class act. Aaron said only the left corner of my house was crooked. The rest was OK. Another contractor tried convincing me the entire house needed to be jacked up. Another wanted to install piers under my living room. Aaron said that was unnecessary since the problem was on the side of our home, not in the middle. He clearly explained why putting in those extra piers could cause new problems. Our slanted bedroom was off center by five inches. Aaron sketched where the piers would go. He'd begin at the front door and then head east, turn the corner, and then jack up the entire east side. The work was fascinating and proceeded surprisingly quickly and professionally. When they hit a snag with my pool equipment, they just tunneled beneath it. What was initially mysterious and bewildering became understandable as I watched the piers disappear into the mucky clay soil. They applied up to 8,000 pounds of force per square inch ensuring the piers were tight. Then they placed hydraulic jacks on top of a flat cement cap placed on the last pier. Piers are made from cement, cylindrical, and close to a foot long. They are stacked until the column of piers reaches the surface and will no longer move downwards. Installing 14-16 cylindrical piers is common. Since the piers had nowhere to go, the house inched upwards. Inside it felt like quick earthquake tremors. Aaron's team was very professional, efficient, and neat. Guillermo, the supervisor, was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Aaron stopped by daily. He has an eclectic background. His parents are classical musicians who also own Eagle Foundation Repair in Corpus Christi, TX. That's where Aaron learned the business. He also worked for a talent agency in Hollywood and on Wall Street. When he tired of the corporate world, he leveraged what he learned from his parents' foundation business and set up shop in Houston. I enthusiastically recommend Two Brothers. They are a small but highly experienced family run business. Hence customers receive personalized service from the owners. Repairing your foundation is a big investment. You cannot beat their price for the work and professionalism they offer. I had other companies prior to Two Brothers come out and give me estimates which I swiftly turned down after having Aaron come out and inspect the foundation and give me an estimate to get the work done. I called Two Brothers Foundation Repair because I needed some foundation work done at my house. Aaron Lipman answered the phone and he arranged to come by my home the same week. After getting quotes from several foundation companies, his was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. It was actually a reasonable price considering the work that had to be done. To his credit, he was very patient with me as we worked through my schedule. He started on time and finished on time. His workers worked very hard every day they were there, I was impressed. Aaron also checked in or called me every day to make sure I didn't have any questions. One of his workers, Guillermo, has many years experience doing foundation work. After the work was finished, they cleaned up everything and you could hardly tell they were there. Aaron and I met and he explained the warranty to me and reassured me that they stand behind it. After the flood in hurricane Harvey I requested two brothers foundation repair to come out and evaluate our foundation. Our home was built in 1960 and had previous foundation repair. I requested on yelp for them to evaluate. Aaron was the sales rep that reached out to me within minutes of me posting my request. He asked me a few details and set up an appointment for later in the week. During that time I discovered that our foundation was still under a partial oh foundation transferable warranty. It came right on time knowing that they probably wouldn't get the job but did measurements on the foundation. He was able to give me guidance and provide the information that I needed for a future foundation repair, as a bonus he provided me with the watering schedule for our sprinkler system. After purchasing a home built in 1958, we began to remodel. Contacted several Foundation Repair companies in Houston - and came across Two Brothers Foundation. I contacted Aaron Lipman at Two Brothers - made an appointment for him to review the house. I really appreciate Aaron's honesty - he gave us two options - to fully repair the existing foundation - or do part of the foundation - which means he would be returning in a few years - we opted for the full repair. His crew Guillermo and Raphael and others worked long hours digging and adding the pilings. I will say, the crew members left the area around the house better than they found it. great clean up as well. All parties involved from Aaron, Guillermo, Raphael and others were kind, courteous and hard working. I came across Two Brothers by the stellar reviews on Yelp. I am so glad I did find them they have been such a blessing. We bought a new house and once we removed the floors we needed a major foundation repair. We were on a strict timeline for the remodel of our new home and Two Brothers were exactly on point with our schedule. Our repair took a week and required extra work that was not known to us until they started digging for the pilings. Even with the extra work they accomplished on time. They filled all the holes and repaired the slab perfectly. When I saw the project after they finished it was clean and the house was put back together very well. I had a lot of questions throughout the process and Aaron was super patient and always available. The city did not close out our permit right and Aaron was persistent and fixed the problem for us. I almost never write reviews, but I was really impressed by Aaron's services and his honesty! We recently moved into a 1973 "flip house" in Sugar Land. We quickly realized our house inspector missed a lot of issues. We also started to notice cracks appearing throughout the house on sheetrock, fireplace, ceilings. We suspected that inspector could've missed some foundation problems, and decided to call a foundation specialist. Aaron was very courteous and easy to deal with. After examining the house and taking elevation readings, he told me we don't need any work done! He pointed out few minor issues, but nothing worth worrying about. Wow! If everyone did business as well as Aaron, life would be so much easier!! He called to confirm our appointment and was prompt and courteous! He even took time to explain the process. He brought a small machine with him that gives a reading of the floor throughout the house so you can actually see numbers to understand if your house is level or not. Which is another reason we were so satisfied with his work. A neighbor of ours said he had a guy who just came in and didn't use a machine or anything and just gave him a quote of several thousand dollars for fixing his foundation! Two brothers recently installed several piers at our home. The communications from the time of the estimate until completion of the work was EXCELLENT. The workers did an excellent job of installation as well as cleaning up after the work was complete. You could not even tell we had foundation work done when the work was complete. We needed 2 additional piers under our front porch and they worked with us to not have to destroy the brick which would have been difficult if not impossible to find. Aaron constantly communicated with us before, during and after the project. I close by saying I have very high standards for customer service. Long story short, three years ago an inspector told me my house has foundation issue. We found a foundation company and got a quote from them. They told us they will put down a couple of piers for 5k. The crack on the foundation looks less than 1/6", and we never had issues with windows or doors, we decided to have a second opinion. We contacted Two Brothers Foundation. Both Jacob and Aaron are very knowledgeable and professional. Jacob made inspection and told us that the foundation is just fine. Just a couple of days ago, we asked Jacob to do an inspection and see if any changes happened during last three years. After inspection, he told us foundation is in good shape. Wow. Unbelievable service. Aaron was kind and courteous during our conversation on the phone and even more reliable in person. He knew we were in a hurry to fix our home and made time to speak with us on a weekend and came to visit us on a Tuesday. He was realistic on the phone and honest in person. While we had been told to fix the foundation, a project that would have cost $7k or more for a large home, he inspected himself and determined there was no need. After pulling our carpet due to hurricane Harvey flooding, we discovered cracks on our floor. From the time he came out to our home for the estimate to the day the work was completed was about three weeks which is perfect considering the need for his services after Hurricane Harvey.
