I was booked for that Monday! The day of my appointment, I was called several hours before my appointment to say they had an earlier than expected time slot and wanted to know if they could come now. I can't tell you how many times companies give time slots and show up hours AFTER the time frame. But not Markool! They are on it! Jorge and Jose were my technicians. They were both very friendly and went right to diagnosing the issue. After about 30 minutes, they figured out I needed Freon. I asked the pricing and they had a tablet to look up the pricing right away. If you need Freon be warned it's expensive! Not this company's fault though it seems to be commonly expensive when I looked online out of curiosity. These two technicians were knowledgeable and explained everything. I searched for help online and found AdvantaClean of Frederick. After reading their excellent reviews, I gave them a call--and I'm so glad I did. I spoke with the owner, Dave, and it was clear that he knew exactly what he was doing. He was calm, knowledgeable, and reassuring, which helped us feel less overwhelmed. Dave got us on the schedule right away, which was such a relief. He reviewed the basement, provided us with a reasonably-priced quote and we gave him our business. He and his team arrived promptly and got right to work. Using specialized equipment, they were able to pinpoint the source of the leak. They carefully removed our water-damaged sofa along with several bags of damaged items, and they did it all with care and efficiency. They then sealed off the affected area with plastic sheeting and neatly removed the damaged drywall. Dave set up industrial fans and a dehumidifier to dry everything out over the course of several days, staying in communication with us the entire time and periodically stopping by to monitor progress. Dave is not only professional, but also has a good sense of humor and is easy to talk to. He was quick to respond to texts and answered all my questions clearly and thoroughly. I spoke with Mike at Air Repair, and he came over (on time) a couple of days later. He saw that my house was relatively new, and asked me when it was built (Dec 2019 - 4 years ago). He took a look at the ducts in the furnace room and said that cleaning the ducts would not help as they are already clean. He recommended changing the air filter a bit more frequently and said that the dust was probably normal. Next, I asked him to look at our dryer vent/tube. He said he would need to come back for that, and he did - on time. Wow! He quickly and efficiently cleared out the dryer tube, vent, and dryer filter. He showed me before and after pictures. He also advised me on how to clean the dryer more efficiently with a long bristle brush and flat vacuum hose nozzle. Very friendly, polite, on-time, and reasonably priced. Price was very reasonable. ~ early November, no heat from our gas fired steam boiler. It was a bad electrical connection to thermostat. Again, reasonable price. ~ two weeks later, again no heat. This time the diagnosis was more complicated. It turned out to be soot blocking the exhaust flu. LOTS of soot! We are grateful that Kris found it bcs it could have led to a carbon monoxide problem. We've owned the house for 4 years and do not know the last time this flu was inspected. Dave's will be our go to contractor from now on.

Someone came and replaced it, but Dave showed up the next day. When told that it was already replaced, Dave decided it was appropriate to start swearing at my spouse. When told it was rude he responded with, "F**ck you woman" and stormed off. I hope other SOS Air customers get better customer service.
