However, other work that I wanted to be done I was told would be at additional charge after they were done. Be very careful to get everything in writing clearly and have them walk thru what work they will perform. I had an energy audit done at my old home with another company and never ran into any of the issues I did this time.

We had an energy audit completed with Zero Draft. They did a thorough inspection of our home to…read moreidentify energy savings and recommendations to improve heating/cooling efficiency. During the inspection they also provided water flow management devices for our showers, replaced bulbs with LED, and installed a smart surge protector in our media room. The report they provided gave us recommendations for insulation, tuneup, and other installations to help improve our HVAC efficiency. The quote included prices and rebates available. We easily selected the options we wanted and scheduled the work. It was a fraction of the cost if we had engaged contractors without going through the energy audit. They managed the rebate process and we only had to pay the remaining balance. We had blown-in and spray foam insulation done in our attic. Once this was complete, Zero Draft retested and showed that the install increased our efficiency by over 20%. I can actually feel and see the difference. It's noticeably warmer inside. Our roof used to have frost on half and not on the other half because so much heat was rising up. After they installed our insulation the entire roof stays frosty and more f the heat stays in our living spaces. They even got into spaces I never thought were accessible!

All my ceiling lights were pushed out and they came a couple of days later and pushed them back. From that time onwards the lights in the dining room and kitchen would flicker and finally go out completely. Initially we thought it would right itself but it continued to do this and I tried contacting them, twice, without any response. I will try one more time and then if I do not hear from them, I will bring down the stars to one or zero if I can do it.

After removing the insulation in our basement, we found a few surprises that were covered up by the old insulation. They made solid recommendations and were very easy to work with. The job was completed extremely well and the price was reasonable. I would say they actually exceeded my expectations. The new heat pump is amazing: it is nearly silent and yet it does a great job keeping my home warm. Definitely would recommend Elysian to others looking for a quality heat pump installation.

And just yesterday (7/5/24) the ceiling in the other room collapsed!! Can't open the door. Drywall and the horrible blown insulation ALL OVER THE ROOM!!! New insurance claim, and now my insurance premiums will probably be unaffordable if they don't drop me altogether. If only Elysian stood by their work, warranty or not, and if only they cared about very valid concerns expressed by past clients, I wouldn't have all this to deal with now. Again: CONSUMER BEWARE!
