Reached out to them as my wife and I are interested in remodeling both of our bathrooms and had received several recommendations so I was interesting in talking with them. Since I had already done demo on the guest, I had a framework of a layout for the guest and master baths and shared that with Glickman. Doug and Tim (I think was his name?) met with my wife and I, looked over the space, talked with us, gave us their approach, how this would work, etc. Tim presented some potential alternatives that were interesting but that would greatly increase the scope of the remodel. Both gentlemen were very professional and polite but the conversation circled back to budget several times and the numbers that they were referencing were quite a bit higher than the range that we were thinking, which at time, I thought, 'ok, I am completely off the mark?'. After some discussion with my wife, we decided that we wanted to make a slight change to the master bathroom layout so I sent Doug the updated drawing for the framework that we were thinking. This was on a Monday. Fast forward to the following Wednesday (9 days later), I finally hear back from Doug saying that Glickman will have to pass as: "We don't think you would be happy with how this would look" "We don't want you to have buyer's remorse" "You wouldn't be happy with a smaller tub" It's every business' right to pass on work, I have no problems with that but it's the manner in which this was communicated by telling me how I would feel. If you are THAT worried about how I would feel, perhaps propose some alternatives? Especially since I repeatedly stated that it was a design framework and I didn't know if it would even work? Or perhaps just say "We don't think we can give you what you are looking for". Also, with regards to the budget numbers, I've now spoken to 6 different remodelers, the numbers that Glickman were throwing out are still 30% higher than the next highest number. And these other remodelers are reputable design/build establishments. It's possible that the numbers I'm getting are deceiving so will have to see how it all pans out. If Glickman is focused on higher end, higher budget work, then that's perfectly ok but make that clear at the start.

Their office has been very communicative regarding estimates and scheduling. The crew of guys that came out to do repairs today was professional and expedient. I wish I had taken more "before photos" to show the full scope of work done, but we had a hole from dog door in our living room to the outdoors completely filled in and re-sided. Our siding is older so they weren't able to find a complete match, but it's pretty darn close and we're very happy with the work. We also had drywall/ceiling repaired around a new electrical panel we recently had installed and some outdoor siding repair done to a hole left by an old electrical box. Now I can't wait to get the painters out next week! We are so happy with the progress on our home.

I purchased $2.7M home from Enhanced Homes (EH) in August 2024. After 15 months, workmanship has…read moreproven to meet only minimum building code, leaving me with major post-purchase costs. I've spent thousands of hours and ~400% more money completing unfinished or omitted items a reasonable $2.7M home buyer expects. Sod Grass Failure from Hidden Construction Debris ~$20 K +13 weeks During construction I saw EH's landscaper laying sod on clay mixed with construction debris--concrete, nails, pipe, glass, and rocks. Despite immediate notice, EH refused to fix. The grass looked fine through a mild spring but died once summer heat baked the debris. Seven lawn specialists confirmed roots burned by heated concrete and lack of soil depth. Correct replacement required removing debris, adding topsoil, and resodding (~$20K). EH dismisses this as "not a warranty item" and claims "it passed county inspection" and "looked green for ten months." True but irrelevant, inspection only verifies appearance that day; the root system was doomed from the start. Wet Bar $6K+4weeks Original plans included a wet bar near the dining room. EH refused, saying installing it required moving a nearby HVAC grill, a task requiring minimal effort. After closing, we resolved the grill at no cost but paid $5,714 and 4 weeks of work to add the wet bar ourselves. Frozen Pipes & Ineffective Insulation $5K+4 weeks The Finished Room Over Garage (FROG) stayed 49F last winter because garage ceiling was poorly insulated. EH declined to pay extra ~$963 for adequate foam during construction. We paid $5,124 to remedy. The uninsulated FROG toilet drain froze. EH initially refused to fix it for $200, then relented after weeks of debate. FROG bathtub base had no insulation or plywood wall, exposed directly to winter air via soffit vents. Electrical $3K+2 weeks Every light switch was on/off. We spent $3,521 and much time installing smart dimmers EH could have added for extra $963. Another case of EH cost cutting during construction that costs buyers ~300% + time later. Internet Cables 2 weeks Ethernet cables were left unterminated without RJ45 ends, preventing internet access until we paid technician to add connectors. The structured-media enclosure wiring box was incomplete; we paid to fix it. EH would not do either item. The underground conduit meant to protect the buried internet line to the utility pole was never installed. When asked, EH owner Ryan Fubini said, "I offered a guy cash to install conduit, but he wasn't interested." Predictably the unprotected cable was later cut by a landscaper, damage conduit would have prevented Builder Response Rather than fix issues Mr. Fubini responded by warning of "legal consequences" for posting reviews and sent an inaccurate, unprofessional message to my wife, which she pointedly refuted. Virginia's anti-S-L-APP laws protect truthful consumer reviews and allow recovery of costs if sued. I've been copied on emails from other EH buyers to Fubini reporting similar concerns, yet Fubini continues to claims I'm his only dissatisfied owner. EH cites many five-star ratings, but they are for small remodel jobs, not full new-home builds. Initially I gave testimonial to buyer who bought $2.5M EH home; Fubini never thanked me Summary Tradespeople who built our house appear to be skilled, by lack formal oversight, project management and quality control. EH leadership prioritized speed and cost-cutting over reasonable finishes, quality checks, problem-solving, and warranty. Every problem follows the same pattern: EH spent the minimum to pass inspection, deny responsibility afterward. EH's constant defense: "it passed Arlington County inspection" misses the point. Passing inspection only meets minimum legal standards at that moment. A luxury builder should exceed them, not hide behind them For anyone considering EH, hire rigorous inspector to check sq ft, structural, mechanical, insulation, finishes, and soil quality before closing. Our house looked impressive at closing, but EH's minimal-standard approach created major costs for us later

About three years ago this summer we first used Real1 Construction to put a new roof on our house…read more The roof had years of storm damage which Jason identified and worked diligently to encourage our home insurance to pay. Fast forward to now and we had a bird break a panel and accessed our soffit vents. I called Real1 Construction and Jason came out again identified then bird damage in about 20 minutes. Only two days later and under an hour of work our bird damage was replaced. Again it was a fast and positive experience for us. Would highly recommend Real1 Construction if you need roof work. We will certainly be calling Real1 Construction again if/when needed. Great team that shows up and does the work. They are also very flexible if your schedule suddenly changes. The second type bids and charges exactly what they said. They come when they say and the finish on time. GH Contractors and Handyman is the second. They come when they say they are going to be there. They charge exactly what they told you up front (and one time actually less). The work is high quality and the team is friendly. We've had them do three different jobs around the house and in each case they have done an exceptional job. Other than the fact that we knew they had been there you wouldn't be able to tell they had been there. No mess, Exceptional Service. These are the handymen you need to call. Honest, good prices and they do a great job every single time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable about the roofing shingles he installs (Owens Corning) and very detailed on his installation procedures and how he backs his workmanship and his future availability to respond to any questions or problems. Problem is, once he completed our roof installation, he collected his check and despite my numerous attempts to contact him via telephone and email, he has completely ghosted us. The reason I needed to follow up with him is there are three elements of our contract he has yet to complete. My fault, I know better but I paid him before all the work was completed. Part of the contract was his obligation to file our warranty with Owens Corning. I called Owens Corning and they have no record of Jason filing the paperwork. I believe his roofing crew did a good job on my roof installation, but I'm very disappointed that he walked away without completing all elements of our contract and now refuses to return my calls or respond to my emails. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

We removed the wall between the kitchen and the tiny dining room, and Traylor rerouted HVAC, relocated plumbing, updated electrical, and installed cabinets, counters, and new flooring. The transformation has made a huge difference in how we use our home. The quality of the work is solid, especially given the price--which is truly hard to beat. The team was professional, punctual, and respectful throughout the process. They cleaned up daily, which we really appreciated. Renata and Livia were always responsive, and Andre checked in on progress regularly. One of the most impressive parts of the project was how they matched the new kitchen floor to our existing hardwoods. They removed the old kitchen tile and weaved in new boards seamlessly with the dining room flooring--it looks like it was always one room. Several guests have commented on how great it looks. We're overall very happy with the work Traylor completed for us and will work with them again for our next project.

After our previous contractor left us without communication and without starting the job, we were referred to Greg, who immediately jumped in to get the job done before our move-in date: from start to finish, they were able to take down the wall, add lighting, and paint the room in one week! They offered super helpful advice and solutions to problems we didn't anticipate, like adding tasteful cedar planks to cover unfinished walls left by the previous owners. Not only were they quick and professional, but Greg patiently emailed back and forth with me while at work (since I couldn't have my phone on me) to go over my ideas and keep me updating on what was going on. We are so thankful to have been able to work with NOVA Contractors!!

Subsequently, we decided to move forward with his recommendation for an engineer to ensure the wall we wanted to open wasn't a load bearing wall. The engineer came and at the end of his assessment told us his visit and write up would be $900. We were a bit caught off guard but was willing to pay because we wanted to move forward with the project. And then, crickets. No word from Greg or the engineer. After a few ignored emails he finally responded to my husband; he thought it was a different client who he had recently met. When my husband reminded Greg that he already knew him and had come to our house, again, nothing. The last attempt to reach out to Greg was very disheartening. We were honest, saying we had reached out to other contractors, but that we like him and wanted a quote. He told us to move forward with them as he is pretty busy. Period. The end. What a waist of time!!! Unless your the more profitable project, move on!
