The re-facing of my large concrete porch with quartz stone was the most challenging of the projects, compounded by several ill-timed rainy days. My husband and I needed to have the wall separating our kitchen and living room taken down, as well as the floor tiling and painting that came with it. We met with a few contractors, and after now having gone through the entire process, we are SO happy we worked with Jose and his team. Jose Amaya was a wonderful contractor to work with. Jose and his team couldn't have been more professional. We had been wanting to get a new vent kitchen hood installed and have it vent directly to the outside instead of back into our kitchen. We consulted numerous companies and it was obvious that Jose provided the best value and price (he was $500 cheaper than one estimate we got and over $1500 less expensive than another one). His team showed up promptly over the course of two days. They covered everything in my kitchen to protect the cabinets and counter tops. Additionally, the crew wore masks the entire time and were very considerate of COVID protocols. When they finished, I was truly amazed at their superior craftsmanship. The two pictures I posted don't do it justice. Minus the new vent hood, it doesn't look like any construction was done at all (which is exactly what we wanted), the drywall looks great and they did an exquisite job painting. I found Jose on here to fix loose tile and cracked grout after pulling out old glass shower doors. Before installing the new ones I had to have it fixed. It's my only shower so time was of the essence. Every other company I searched for on here either couldn't come for at least a week to even do a quote (really?) or didn't call back. But Jose stopped by the same day and agreed to do it two days later. Couldn't be more impressed with the work his crew did. Depended on Yelp reviews to find a handyman and found Jose Amaya. Was initially working with a plumber to address a leak from the bathroom. Was told to contact a bathroom remodeler because the leak was between the subfloor and the tiles which meant major work. Luckily, Jose found the source of the leak which was not as bad as initially thought of. Because there was already a hole in the ceiling in addition to water stains, Jose recommended to also paint the entire ceiling. Entire work was completed in two days as promised and the workplace is spotless. "Mi esposa sera muy Feliz", I told him. Jose and his employees are a keeper.
