All of us met here for an afterwork get together, we ordered the meat pie and garlic knots. I was much more impressed by the knots than the pizza. I thought the crust was a bit too soft for my taste and the meat was super salty. Service was attentive and nice, we were also hoping to sit outdoors but the heated fire pits were not available on the night we were there. read more

Atlas is a perfect fit for this piece of the resurgent Foster neighborhood. Casual pizza joint décor and friendly service, making the sidewalk pleasant and lively. We were a group of 6 on my most recent visit, and we took advantage of their $40 special - a large pizza (any variety, I believe), a large salad, and an order of garlic knots with marinara dipping sauce. I believe this Atlas location is also the source of pizzas that are served at Portland Pickles baseball games in the fairly nearby Lents neighborhood. read more

These people never answer the phone and will hang up on you when they finally pick up. I always end up having to wait over 30 minutes for pickup even though they say it's ready. The food is good and typically in person they are nice. I'd just rather go to baby doll Otto's or dominoes honestly than deal with these folks again. read more

We checked out Atlas Pizza during Pizza Week. There was a long line, but it moved pretty fast. The pizza was called The Maize Runner and had a Jalapeno oil base. It was delicious! The slices were huge! There would be no way I could have eaten more than one slice. I heard almost everyone who walked away with their pizza comment on how large the slices were too. Just ok. The quality has been hit and miss. I don't recommend ordering by the slice. They are rock hard from sitting out too long and being reheated. I once had an order that of knots and a pizza that was very much charred underneath and the staff was rather argumentative about it. I asked them to deliver a replacement and they could see for themselves, to which they refused. Instead they said they would credit the order, and when I went to use the credit it was for $18 instead of the $40+ of the credited order. That wasn't cool. There are far better pizza places out there. I've been throughly underwhelmed each time I have gone there. read more

Glad I stopped by. I've always noticed this pizza joint on my commute but Pizza Week gave me an excuse to try it out. Space is large with outdoor and indoor seating at bar or table. They have an arcade game and pinball machines to help past time while waiting for order. Would be nice to have claw machine addition :hint hint:) Staff was nice and approachable. Order at counter closer to bar seating and pick up at other end. I tried the two Pizza Week flav Nacho Libre and vegan one named Dukes of Hazard or something resembling that...lol. Had to also throw in a classic Pepperoni to compare with other joints. They all tasted good and I wouldn't mind having more. But the marinara sauce on the side tho...I'll write home bout that! read more

I have never posted a review positive or negative but considering the state of my pizza, and the disappointing customer service, I thought I should let people know what to expect from this pizza spot. I ordered a pizza for delivery and what arrived was a soggy mess that looked like a raccoon had fished it out of a trash can. When I let them know they didn't bother to rectify the situation. They did refund the payment, but weren't willing to send a replacement. I've been ordering here for years and issues with incorrect orders and sub par quality have been becoming more common. The place just felt kind of strange, First time here, but had been to the old bar that Atlas was cut off of. But the pizza. Went foir the meat which was chicken with spinach and some sprinkles of bacon--tasty enough. A surprise to me was huch softer the crust of the cheese slice was compared to the meat, the cheese could barely hold a fold while the meat's crust held its own. Shouldn't they have been the same. The doner crust had a nice bit of char. the sprinkle peppers here are very hot; the cheese nice and fluffy Was a nice tang to the red sauce. This is the 93rd place I've had pizza in Portland, and maybe I'm getting pickier. Pizza maybe a bit better than average, but the uncomfortable vibe of the room was also part of the experience. read more

It's really good! The pizza is delicious always. It's that perfect greasy slice you are craving. I always get it by the slice here, it's affordable and the slices are huge! The staff have always been really helpful, friendly and cool. The place is very family friendly during the day- I've never been at night but I know there is a bar attached. Last time i was there a lot of the tables were dirty that's my only complaint, so I have taken my meals to go or there is also a nice outdoor seating area on Foster. I have gone to Atlas more times than I can count for reliably delicious pizza and friendly service. read more

Pizza is very good however no in door seating which kinda sucks multiple locations within driving distance but will say the wait time for order is outrageous and way too long which is unacceptable and avg wait times are between 25min to 45mins that's not ok guys pizzas I expect to be ready within 10-15min and in my hands within that time frame. So again good pizza but to me personally not worth the inconsistent wait times. read more

Pros: Good pizza, good service, a rotating selection of beer on tap and lots of cans, a great bar attached/next door, great offering of garlic knots and a "knots of the day" offering, a tv for sports and a fair selection of seating (indoor and out). Cons: Can get packed on Fri/Sat (con for us but pro for them!) Excessively loud!!!! Don't know how they can fix this issue - there is a partial wall between the pinball machines and the main area plus a complete wall separating the attached bar. It is probably due to the high ceilings and no sound deadening material anywhere. The noise gets so bad that you have to shout to be heard by your table-mates. If you like bustling and noisy places, go, you will like everything about it. If you have tinnitus. . . . DON'T GO IN!!!! Get delivery, GrubHub or have a friend go in and order while you wait at an outside table. read more

I've been in for slices a few times and it was just OK. Ordered a whole pie tonight and it was awful. Not completely done, very soggy in the middle with wet flour that was all doughy on the bottom. Here's the thing: the pizza is delicious. It has been our go-to takeout spot for years. However, over the past few years, it's been a frustrating experience with every takeout order because they always seem behind / unable to keep up with the number of orders. The management clearly needs to hire more people to help out the staff. Also - The prices keep going up. A large pizza is $30?! Atlas used to be a cheap dinner option... but not anymore. And I know some pizza places are "fancy" so the price is higher - but this is like a classic (delicious ) pie shop. We used to do the special where the large pie came with garlic knots & salad but now that price went up too. So I don't know. The food is still good. And the staff are super nice! But: they are often understaffed!! Get them some help! read more

Great crust and the sauce has a lil spice to it. We typically go with the Garden of Earthly Delights and have always been delighted with it. The staff is friendly too. Haven't had much experience outside but they've got a good to-go system set up with the carry out window. read more

So glad they opened a second location here. The pizza here is amazing! You can get it by the slice or the whole pie. The crust is not overly thin or thick. Enough bite to satisfy the pizza carb craving and not greasy at all. We pick up orders to go and dine in as well. Plenty of seating, and there's a a kids play area with a kitchenette and other toys to keep them busy. Street parking is pretty easy. Love this place and their food. Order ahead for Halloween or other busy pizza holidays-- they get slammed! read more

Came in on a Saturday at about 1pm. It wasn't very busy at that point but they must have had a rush because the place was a mess. Tables were super dirty and wait was a bit long. My girlfriend lovessss pizza. And unfortunately she wasn't impressed with her plain cheese, which for her is hard to do. I on the other hand liked my pizza and also liked the stuffed knots that I got. I'm pretty sure I can convince her to come here again and I would like to try one of their salads that looked pretty amazing. 3 stars for now. Might go up to 4 once we experience a cleaner environment. read more

They work hard putting out quality pies (and don't get me started on the garlic/stuffed knots- buddy don't think, just order some) with friendly service. Pizza was good, but service needs improvement. First time we had been waiting in line and some woman selling flowers stepped in to get change from the cashier. No, that's not a priority when you have paying customers. She can get in line. Then it took an exceptionally long time to get a couple slices to go. Second time they lost the order. Okay, it happens, but when you're not terribly busy you might notice on your own. They didn't, but when reminded they started getting the order ready. They didn't even offer anything for messing up like that, so our friend suggested maybe a free soda for the inconvenience. They obliged, but it really was on them to offer. Still took longer than expected after getting it together. The bar attached is really expensive, so can't recommend getting a drink there while you wait or eat. Less than impressed. read more

As times have changed and we now have zillions of pizza names with traditional and insanely tasty toppings we were told to try Atlas. They were spot on as their traditional pizza and specialty pies are amazingly scrumptious - so for my local pizza joint in SE - Richmond - Hawthorne is Atlas as they are the place to get a killer pizza ! Fantastic gluten-free pizza! I just moved back into the neighborhood and have been taking advantage of Atlas Pizza's delivery service. The first time, I ordered as I left at a friend's house in NE due to the fact that it was a Friday night and the wait was quoted to be an hour. I ended up worrying I wouldn't be home in time to meet the driver, which is a positive in my book. My pizza, salad, and wine arrived about five minutes after I did, a little more than a half hour after I ordered. I've enjoyed Atlas Pizza off and on since 2018. I love that they now deliver drinks. I am delighted that they are close enough to be my go to pizza place! read more
