Oven and shaker is a solid choice for a nice dinner when you don't feel like fully dressing up but you still want a good going out spot. It is upscale casual. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable about the cocktails and alcohol that they serve. The food and drinks come out fast, hot, and delicious. The ambiance is such a nice vibe it's cool and gives hipster. I prefer this location. The butterscotch Budino is a CANT MISS it is delicious. I would eat here again!

It's been a while since I visited Oven and Shaker but the great service, good food and PDX vibes are still present. It was a Saturday night and the waitlist delayed us only 20 minutes. Our hostess was attentive and helped navigate the menu favorites. The pizza did not disappoint and the Kale salad was simple yet satisfying.

Great dinner spot for happy hour or for full dinner; easy to customize pizzas to Vegan or vegetarian, and they offer gluten free crust (not celiac friendly, use your judgement). Service is wonderful and full of recommendations - ask for the secret cocktail menu! I love their wine menu so you must try an Oregon Pinot with your pizza! Fantastic salads as well - great for sharing

Nice spot with pizza and drinks. They're open at lunch also which is great for kids since it tends to be a bit quieter. They have indoor and outdoor seating and good pizza options. Not my absolute favorite but ok and they have some interesting flavor combos which is always fun to try! It definitely hit the spot and their beer selection was good too!

Oven and Shaker's service and quality is going downhill. I used to love their pizza and ambience. The pizza was charred and we brought it to server's attention who agreed. They replaced it with another pizza and it was charred as well. Then the server got us someone else's check at the end. The only good thing about tonight was their roasted beet salad. In a city known for pizzas, there is fierce competition and it's important to maintain quality of food. We are definitely not coming back.

Superb customer service! Everyone was so kind and helpful! Got the goat cheese pizza and the margarita with goat cheese. It was delicious. The brightness of the subtle lemon spark with the pistachio pesto brought out the sharpness of the goat cheese.

We found paid parking right next to the establishment. We were seated quickly at one of the outdoor picnic tables, which were very difficult to get in and out of. A carafe of water was brought quickly and refilled promptly. We weren't terribly hungry, so only ordered a white pizza which was beautiful and delicious. The staff were not well coordinated at shift turnover, because literally 15 seconds after the first server brought out our pizza, the second server came and asked us how it was, when it was completely obvious that we hadn't even taken a first bite yet.

Just a fantastic place to visit! Oven and Shaker is located in the Pearl. A girlfriend and I visited on one of the last beautiful days of fall. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating and you can smell the cozy wood oven when you enter. Service was great (a bit slow, but excellent engagement!). We ordered unique cocktails that were well-balanced (not too sweet, not too boozy, but boozy enough). I got the Pepper Smash and Angie got the Smile and Nod. We shared the must-have Nostrana salad (I'm salivating thinking about) and the goat cheese pizza. Both were excellent! I need to come back and try other items on the menu. This is a place where it's hard to narrow down what to eat.

Came here because we wanted pizza! All the other well known spots in time are closed until 5 but this place is open for lunch so of course we're gonna come here! Had their spicy salami, maple pig, and Margherita pizzas! There were three of us and each pizza came with 6 slices so we actually split 3 way with 2 slices each! Margherita: 8/10 Spicy salami: 9/10 Maple pig: 9/10 - Service was super friendly and nice! - Area is spacious and lots of seating! - Great for all occasions - Will need to street park Would definitely recommend!

Found this place during wing week with a funny tik tok advertising their lemon picatta wings! My mom use to make us lemon picatta pasta growing up so it was an instant yes, wings were super good, only caveat is I wish they would've tossed them in the sauce vs sitting them dry on top of it cause I was tryna drag those guys through the sauce and spoon it up and it was a lil rough but super yummy! Also tried the meatballs and the La Fettunta bread, super tasty, that Parmesan layer is THICK lemme tell ya (I ended up brushing a little off it was a lot). The meatballs were a little cool for my taste, I wish they came out a bit hotter, one of them was a little tough, again still super yummy, but my only negative. Pro tip, if you layer a slice of meatball on the bread, spoon a lil extra marinara on top, EVEN TASTIER. Definitely will be back sometime to try their wine selection and pizzas. All in all a good experience. Just a couple notes.

Came here tonight before theater at the Armory. Ordered a cocktail which was good and came pretty promptly. We ate outside and were assured that we would not be neglected because we were outside. Ordered their version of a Caesar salad. Delicious! Let the waiting begin! We were there for well over 45 minutes waiting for our pizza. A group that came in 15 - 20 minutes got two pizzas delivered while we were waiting. I asked the food runner to check on our pie and she eye rolled. We were on a timer, because of the start time of our play. Eventually our mediocre pizza arrived. The manager came over because we were clearly annoyed. She repeated over again 'what would it take to make this right?' We said nothing? It's fine. A discount is not an apology, which we did not receive. BTW - the pizza was not that good. Not bothering to go back. Too bad because it is close to the Armory

The environment was very queer friendly! The two pizzas we had were very delicious! Yummy and fresh ingredients. One pizza was the spicy salami and other was The Pearl. Ask for a small side of honey to drizzle on the Pearl pizza for an elevated experience. The service was great! Very attentive staff. All the staff were serving lewks! Had the Honey basil Collins cocktail and it was great!! Not too sweet or too strong, it was just right. Olive lovers: the olive appetizer is a must! Ample seating.

I had the Bullard Breakfast and went the virtuous route with the avocado option. Beautifully presented, served with a trio of condiments: butter, jam, and ketchup. The potatoes were delicious. One star off for the cold, rock-hard toast. One surprise on the way out: a "Kitchen Appreciation Fee" of 3% appeared on the itemized receipt, but not on the menu, the website, or any visible signage. To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

We came to Teardrop Cocktail Lounge while visiting Portland and were genuinely impressed…read more The cocktails were excellent -- thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
