    Run and don't look back. Worst management company to be a tenant for. Doesn't care about anything but money. Listen or be warned.

Mariah goes above and beyond for not just the buyers and sellers of a transaction, but for the lenders as well. I am a lender & every time my clients sign with her, they go on and on about how awesome she is, how much fun she makes the signing, and how accommodating she is. Just recently she met my clients at 6 AM at a Starbucks to accommodate their work schedule. You will not see this very often with other title companies. Mariah and her team always answers my phone calls and emails right away and ensures a smooth closing. I highly recommend using Mariah Yee and her team for your next real estate transaction.

    As seller we should have been able to pick our title company. However, the buyer, OpenDoor…read moredictated who they work with. As we were not working with a Realtor, we reluctantly agreed. We wanted one of the many title offices near our home, avoiding the hour-long drive to Lake Oswego. I have purchased six homes and sold five over several years and in three states. Although somewhat different over time and states, the process is not new to me. I had just purchased a home outside Oregon two months before and was very familiar with what are fair closing costs. Ticor's fees were 4 times those I paid just 2 months before for a purchase and more than double those I expected as a seller in the Portland area. This I discovered after talking with local Realtors and mortgage processors and receiving escrow fees costs from other recent closings. When I called Ticor's Mariah Yee's attention to this, unfortunately she got very defensive. One reason we sold was to get away from the encroaching subdivisions that were encircling our home. We don't like subdivisions with homes only a few feet apart (major fire hazard), narrow streets, and the resulting congestion. Several times during our conversations with Mariah, she bragged about "her builder" and the subdivisions he was building in our neighborhood - the very subdivisions that triggered our move. This was extremely annoying. I expected to receive copies of all the documents signed at closing. I have asked for them three times and have yet to receive them. In summary, here is why I cannot recommend Ticor or this office. Their fees are too high, they have not responded for requests for documents, and honestly, they are too proud of their success.

My original escrow company was cyberhacked and this shut down my closing process completely. Days were counting down quickly to my closing date (and end of my rental agreement). Thankfully, ORT took over my file and within a few days of them working tirelessly I was able to close only 2 days later than expected. I honestly believe my closing would have been delayed weeks had I not had the ability to work with ORT to close on my home. I know they worked all hours and did everything possible that they could to help me through such a stressful process as a first time, single, homebuyer. Even though I was annoying and stressed out in my communication, they were so kind and patient. I wish I would have gone with them in the first place.
