I've been an Anthropologie customer for almost two decades... today, I stopped in to check out…read moretheir fall merch. The store was nicely organized & there were lots of cute clothing items. They're heavily promoting their Maeve brand. They also had a little shoe feature which I hadn't seen before. I checked out the sale items & they had a good selection, but nothing caught my eye. Then as I was poking around the Maeve section, I noticed a really cute white button down with embroidered horses on it. Then I spotted a couple of sweaters with a horse motif, some really adorable red trousers & a red shirt that said "Ciao Bella". I brought the goods into the changing room, and ultimately decided on the white blouse with the horses. I was happy to note that there is a 20% discount for students and teachers as well. Anthropologie skews on the higher end for everything from clothes, to candles, to toiletries & costume jewelry. Prices get a little better for sale items, but most of the time, everything is still pricey. Anthropologie's clothes do tend to be well-made and quality on the whole & when building or curating your wardrobe, you can find some pieces that will be favorites for years to come. Both gals who helped me were very nice. Peace.

Suede... lined with shearling, with more shearling on the cuffs and collar. Designed by Mother, $450. I wanted to take it home with me. Then I checked the label... 100% polyester. Anthropologie, what on earth are you doing selling an almost $500 after taxes jacket that's made of plastic??? I walked around and so many things were a similar circumstance. Who is curating these stores?? People don't come into Anthropologie to buy trash bags and get a headache and burning lungs from air freshener or whatever it is they pump into the air. Bring back the integrity of the store. Otherwise, you're just a severely overpriced SHEIN, Temu, Amazon. The girls who worn here are always nice though, not their fault corporate is ruining the brand.

Nordstrom Rack in la jolla is a discount retail store located in the shops at la jolla village,…read moreoffering a wide selection of name brand clothing, shoes, and accessories. Pros: This is a solid spot for finding discounted name brand items if you are willing to look through the racks. There is a decent variety of clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories, and you can sometimes find really good deals depending on timing. The store is organized by section, which makes it easier to browse compared to some other discount stores. It is also in a large shopping center, so it is convenient to pair with other errands or food stops nearby. Staff are usually helpful when you need assistance with locked items or sizing, and checkout is generally quick even when it is busy. Cons: The biggest issue is inconsistency. Some visits have great finds, while other times the selection feels picked over or limited. It also gets very crowded, especially on weekends or during sales, which can make shopping feel a bit hectic. Parking can also be annoying during peak hours since the plaza is shared with many other stores. Verdict: Overall, this is a reliable place for discounted shopping if you are patient and go at the right time. Weekdays or off peak hours are usually the best for selection and a smoother experience.

NORDSTROM RACK @ LA JOLLA…read more Parking is available in the plaza, and there were plenty of open spots when we arrived. The store is located in a nice shopping center with several other businesses nearby, including ice cream shops and other retail stores. This Nordstrom Rack is quite large and has a great selection. I especially loved browsing the home decor section and candles. I found a Sand + Fog candle that was 50% off, which was such a great find. They also carry a lot of smaller items and travel-sized products. My boyfriend picked up a few items, and we noticed a lot of merchandise from brands like TravisMathew at significant discounts. There are definitely plenty of high-end brands available at great prices. They also have an impressive shoe selection. Overall, I really enjoy shopping at Nordstrom Rack because there are always amazing deals on quality brands. The staff was friendly, the store was clean and organized, and the shopping experience was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

The store is cute and put together, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I especially appreciated that no one made me feel pressured to buy more than I needed. Khalea helped me with my purchase, and she was very knowledgeable about the products. Since I haven't really shopped at other lingerie stores, this felt like a refreshing and positive experience. I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were comparable to Victoria's Secret, but I actually liked the fit here even better. The fabrics felt softer and more comfortable, and I loved the variety of options available, including microfiber, silk, and modal. I ended up going with the Elena bra. I usually go for push-up styles, but this one was even better, it gave a natural lift without the need for extra padding. They also have great deals. I snagged five mix-and-match panties for $35, which felt like a steal. The designs are simple yet elegant...exactly how lingerie should be...classy and comfortable. I left feeling like I found a new favorite place to shop. I'll definitely be back.

The first time, we got there about 10 minutes before closing and were told their dressing rooms were closed and the store was closing in 10 minutes. We quickly browsed and left figuring we would return another time to shop. The second time was last night. We arrived approximately 30 minutes before closing. Again, the initial greeting (after looking around for a couple minutes) was simply to let us know they were closing in '20 minutes' and that the dressing rooms closed in 5 minutes. We quickly browsed, grabbed some items. I had a couple pair of sweatpants I wanted to try on, so I went to the dressing room first, to find two employees just standing there chit chatting. They pointed me to a room. Not even a minute later, I hear my daughter (there were 4-5 employees in store and my daughter and I were the only customers) at the fitting rooms being told by the employee that the dressing rooms were closed and that she could not try anything on. Of course, that woke the mama bear and I poked my head out, informed the employee we were just told by another employee that the dressing rooms would be open for 5 more minutes just a few minutes prior - so she reluctantly allowed my daughter to try on her items. While in the dressing room, we were again informed of the closing time countdown (at one point we were told they were closing in 5 minutes at which point I checked the time and it was in fact 7 minutes until closing). Daughter rushed through trying things and made her selections. We were at the check out counter with 3 minutes until closing time. We completed our checkout. While being rung up, employees continued to kind of mill about. Talking about their plans outside of work, being happy someone else was covering their upcoming shift, etc. Though I seriously considered just walking out and not buying anything simply based on overall customer experience, I spent $500+ on clothing items for my daughter. We left so disappointed by the whole experience. I understand closing times and I recognize we were nearing it, but we completed our shopping quickly and made a decent sized purchase. Never once did they ask if they could help or get a different size or anything that actually resembled customer service. The only communication they had with us was trying to usher us out of the store as quickly as possible so they wouldn't be bothered with us. It felt like a bunch of middle schoolers with too much authority and zero care about their jobs. I will definitely be avoiding spending any more money here as I refuse to support a company that clearly doesn't want my business.
