My experience with Jesh was my first time purchasing fine jewelry, and he made it so that my confidence in him and my purchase never faltered throughout the whole process. Being that the diamond I was using in my fiancée's engagement ring was my late Grandmother's, I knew I had to find a setting that was equally as special to house it. Any old setting was not going to cut it. The catch was that I had no idea how to express in a ring the 2 most important things my fiancée and I shared - a love of nature and music. Jesh was able to take these 2 broad themes - the only 2 things I gave him to go off of - and bring them to life. The design ended up being elegant, unique and beautiful. Jesh was very communicative throughout the whole process. At the start I informed Jesh of my 1 month deadline, so the whole thing from conception to finished product was finished in that tight time frame. He was incredibly enthusiastic about the process, and he listened carefully and made adjustments after the initial sketch to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I was amazed at how much detail Jesh was able to put into the ring. Many of my friends who saw the initial sketch were skeptic about how ambitious the design was. In the end my fiancée has received nothing but the highest compliments, and all skepticism was squashed completely after seeing the finished product. Mark Beauchamp of Jewelry by Design made my anniversary + wedding ring dream come true…read more When I got married, I chose to wear only my engagement ring, since it was so beautiful both on top and in the intricate detail along the sides. I never cared for the wedding band it had originally been paired with. I decided I'd design a custom wedding band for a future anniversary, if I ever felt moved to. Years passed, and I never did, until after a trip to Italy for a major anniversary, when I finally decided to take ten diamonds from a family ring and design two jackets, one for each side of my engagement ring, with five diamonds apiece. Given the shape of my original ring and the need to fit five diamonds on either side, it ended up being a fairly large, striking design. Mark understood exactly what I wanted right from the start. He created a mold so I could visualize the design and confirm it was truly what I envisioned. He also suggested that the center ring remain a separate, detachable piece rather than being fused into one unit, since he felt the three rings would sit better together that way. I came in to see one of the side rings once it was made with the diamonds set, so I could approve the design before he continued. From there, he worked remarkably fast. I had my center ring back within days, and the complete set within two weeks. I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I later had the rings soldered together, since I use my hands constantly and wanted everything to stay perfectly aligned. Mark completed this task with expert precision as well, and at no extra cost. I knew going in that adding the side jackets would mean my center ring wouldn't stand out quite as prominently on its own, but that was a tradeoff I was happy to make for the finished design. From start to finish, Mark both validated my vision and offered thoughtful suggestions along the way. He also did beautiful fine engraving on the sides of the rings to help everything match seamlessly. It's a ring I love wearing every day, and my husband loves it, too. I want to thank Mark for his incredible attention to detail and the tremendous value he provided. His rates were more than reasonable for the level of craftsmanship and care that went into this ring for our special anniversary.
