I highly recommend looking elsewhere for pest control. Our experience with Orkin has been…read moreincredibly frustrating due to a severe lack of communication and hidden fees. We were originally quoted one price, but they continuously raised the rates and tacked on unmentioned charges. When we tried to resolve this, the office staff--specifically Tori and Jacob (the General Manager and Account Manager)--were completely unprofessional and dishonest about the costs. Furthermore, their "satisfaction guarantee" is completely meaningless. Technicians routinely failed to show up during their scheduled windows. Despite paying them, our rodent and bug issues were never resolved. My husband ultimately had to go to Walmart to buy DIY products just to get the situation under control. We will never use Orkin again. Save your money and find a company that actually delivers on its promises.

They lied they charged me two weeks later and never showed up. Called and attempted to talk to customer service and she said it was automatically set up to pay. So I took that they set it up for autopsy every two weeks not once a month. Never did get my free service like they promised. Will definitely stick with their competitors from now on. Would not recommend them to anyone because of their dishonesty.

Our experience with Aptive Pest Control was extremely disappointing and demonstrated a complete…read morelack of reliability, communication, and customer service. Our most recent service appointment was scheduled with a four-hour arrival window, and we arranged our day accordingly. The technician never arrived. After the appointment window had passed and business hours were essentially over, we received only a text message stating that there had been vehicle problems. We agreed to reschedule for the very next day, expecting the issue had been resolved. Once again, no technician arrived, and this time we received no phone call, text message, or explanation whatsoever. We were simply left waiting. To make matters worse, Aptive's automated scheduling system then sent a notification stating that our appointment had been rescheduled for the Fourth of July--a national holiday--without anyone contacting us to determine whether we would even be available. When we called customer service to have the appointment moved to the following Monday, we also asked why no one had shown up for the second scheduled visit. We were told that the technician had experienced problems with the company's routing application. While occasional issues can happen in any business, repeatedly failing to provide service, coupled with a complete lack of proactive communication, is unacceptable. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of the entire experience was the inability to reach or speak with anyone at the local level who could address the problem or take ownership of resolving it. Everything had to go through a centralized customer service system, leaving us with no confidence that future appointments would be any more dependable. After two missed appointments, multiple conflicting explanations, poor communication, and an automated system that appeared to reschedule appointments without regard for the customer's availability, we concluded that we could no longer trust Aptive Pest Control to provide dependable service. We ultimately cancelled our contract. Dependability and communication are fundamental expectations of any service company. Unfortunately, Aptive failed on both counts.

I had left a piece of cardboard laying for a couple of months next to a stem wall expansion joint in my garage, and when I moved the cardboard, I discovered not only that the cardboard was being devoured, but there was also an active termite mud tube from the expansion joint up the stem wall, and entering into the house wall structure. I then found old termite activity at the bottom of the door casing for the side personnel garage entrance. I first had a national pest control company give a quote for treatment after their inspection. This person told me he only had about 6 months experience, and I felt like my limited online research provided me with as much or more knowledge about my termite issues. Apparently, his training was focused on showing me their presentation videos of termites eating houses. Then offering me an un-affordable multiyear contract and financing. Their treatment plan included termite bait stations placed around my house. I do not like the idea of bait stations they may attract unwanted investigations from termites far and wide. Also, bait stations require continuous attention and added cost. Then I contacted Bob (owner), and he offered an initial treatment with other options that do not include unwanted bait stations, and no binding contract for continued services. I chose the trenching and exterior only drilling treatment that will last as long 10 years. I have the option for him to apply an annual, or as needed, exterior only spray application for other pests and as a boost for my ongoing protection against termites. Bob and his wife trenched completely around my house and/or drilled into the garage floor, and porch areas at the stem walls to access any termites that may be in the soil beneath. Bob explained the termites nest in the soil and travel back and forth through the mud tubes, so treating the soil beneath stops the traveling into the walls. After applying the termite treatment they did a great job of cleaning up.

I paid for both services in advance for entire year but after every service I get a bill. when I call to correct it , I have to wait for hours to connect with them on phone and then another hour or so to take care of the problem. I am getting frustrated and told that if it happens again I will terminate it.

DO NOT USE TERMINIX UNLESS YOU WANT TECHS THAT LIE ABOUT ABOUT SERVICING YOUR HOME, AND YOU WANT TO…read morePAY LARGE UPCHARGES FOR TREATMENT THAT SHOULD BE COVERED IN THE MONTHLY AMOUNT THAT IS AUTOMATICALLY TAKEN FROM YOUR ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH. We started using Terminix about a year ago. We are actively looking for a new Pest Control Company for the following reasons: The cost is $150/month, and at first, we could only get service 4 times per year. After repeatedly telling the techs that there are ants ruining our sheds, they FINALLY found the carpenter ants, but we had to pay a substantial premium for the carpenter ants treatment to be done...then again, we found termites in the sheds, and had to bring this to their attention as well, hence paying $150/month, so don't plan on the service you are INITIALLY paying monthly to cover ANY ACTUAL PEST CONTROL ISSUES. Also, Terminix does not go inside (unless you specifically ask) for pest control treatments, only outside, and whatever they use as treatment does NOT control the pests for more than a few days. Most of the techs LIED about coming out and servicing the ENTIRE exterior of the house. We know this from viewing our security cameras. The techs do not come to the door to see if we are home before "servicing our home", then they will do the front side of the house, but we have advised them several times that we will unlock the gate so they can access the back of the house. But instead of contacting us prior to the service date to get access to the back, they just go back to their truck and write up that they completed a "full service"...when confronted about the techs lying, the customer service dept. just tells us that that it was the techs' fault and he/she has been fired, or some other excuse (more lies), then they set up a time to reschedule, and we have to make sure we are home, and actively make sure they do their jobs properly. We used Aptive before switching to Terminix, and Aptive was much more honest and consistent. We finally got a tech from Terminix, Shawn Ellison, who told us to contact him whenever we need service, even if it's every two weeks. That lasted all of two visits, then we contacted Shaun to address an ant issue, and he responded by saying he was requesting our work order, then he completely GHOSTED US and stopped responding to our messages requesting service, nor did he submit a work order AT ALL... Prior to Shawn, Terminix POISONED OUR DOG by failing to communicate with us. The tech came out, failed to tell us anything about his treatment and left in under 10 minutes, without letting us know he sprayed/placed granule poison ALL over the backyard, he just left without telling us ANYTHING. Within 48 hours, our dog was within hours of dying, and Terminix did not take any accountability. We have to pay a monthly premium for the termite stations and the techs are supposed to come out and change the termite bait stations regularly, but we have yet to be contacted about the techs coming out to change/check the bait stations...just laziness and lack of pride in their work. They are not held accountable AT ALL. DO NOT USE TERMINIX UNLESS YOU WANT TECHS THAT LIE TO YOUR FACE, AND YOU WANT TO PAY LARGE PREMIUMS FOR TREATMENT THAT SHOULD BE COVERED IN THE MONTHLY AMOUNT THAT IS AUTOMATICALLY TAKEN FROM YOUR ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH. Do not let Scott Hutzel treat your home unless you want your animals to get deathly ill, and you want to pay thousands of dollars to your vet for several months. We just want good work for a fair price, but that appears to be too much to ask from TERMINIX... Terminix also quoted us an INSANE amount -- $1800, appx., to seal up 10 small gaps in the exterior that wasps or other small pests could potentially enter, but the pests have not done so bc our attic and all entry points are currently clear bc we keep our house exterior clean and inhospitable to pests. $1800 to seal up 10 entry points! That equates to $180 per entry point just to put sealant or wire mesh in a few small gaps. Just an all around failure of communication and service. Please do not make the same mistake we made. Please do not let them take advantage of you, like we let them do to us for the last year.
