Ask the Community - Atlas Vacation Homes

Hi all! We are planning a trip to Orlando this April. While looking for vacation homes, I found Atlas vacation homes. Does anyone have experience with them? Can't seem to find much about them... Thanks in advance!

Our team has been managing vacation homes in the Orlando area for nearly 25 years. We recently moved Atlas Vacation Homes to our Celebration, FL location in 2017. The vacation rentals we manage are located about 2 to 6 miles to Disney World in… Read more

She is happy to reply to questions and accommodate however she can. Since it's a newly renovated townhouse everything is new, which is nice. Pots and pans aren't scratched up. The townhouse itself is modern and nice, but not great for very small children. The owner welcomes kids and even has a high chair and plastic dish ware but the stairs are steep and uncarpeted(this wasn't false advertising, just wanted to let people know), dangerous for little legs. It would be great with older kids for sure! My review reflects the overall experience of staying at the place. The surrounding area is a little trashy. The Regal Oaks isn't really regal. The neighbors spend their afternoons fixing cars and smoking cigarettes on their stoops. They are perfectly nice but i hate cigarettes. When you walk around you notice everyone has reinforced door locks(I felt safe until i noticed that even though i have no reason to think these extra locks were needed ). And there is trash strewn around from the raccoons at night, one of which made it to the pool so the water slide was closed down to be cleaned and shocked. The pool water is a little murky looking and both my son and I developed a slight rash while we were there that disappeared after a week so it wasn't serious. We aren't sure if it was the pool or a sensitivity to detergent. The great perk is that it's really close to Disney and you can walk to "Old Town", which is also trashy but fun. There is a decent pizza place there too! If you aren't on air bnb and want to stay here, you can go directly through Regal Oaks and find different rentals there through them and don't have to worry about the air bnb process. It's perfect for older families(my father in law loved it) or young adults who want to be near Disney, a resort and in walking distance to some bars.

I chose to self-park while there and the garage is a little bit of a walk from the entry. Upon entering it's beautiful to see the waterfall straight ahead, with beautiful marble and fixtures throughout. Checking in was easy and great. I was fortunate to get there before the large crowds, as when I walked in, there were plenty of staff available to check me in and there were no guests. About an hour later I walked through there and there were about 100 people in line waiting to check-in. The lady who checked me in was perfect! Friendly, professional, recognized my status, and gave me good info about the property, while promptly checking me in. Once I got to my room I was immediately satisfied with the décor and cleanliness. It's common that the Marriott properties I stay in have moldy caulking in the shower area, nasty, stained carpeting, and furniture that's stained, broken, dirty, and unappealing - But not here! This room was very nicely set up and maintained too. The bed was comfy and they also offered Pluto as one of their internet TV/streaming services - This has been very important to me over the past couple of years, I'm so used to it that I hate properties that don't offer it. The property itself was great. Service by all the staff was great. The entire place was well-maintained and you never have to leave or go outside; in fact, we didn't leave for the first day and a half! It's probably the best Gaylord I've stayed in so far, definitely better than National Harbor! It's also a mile from Disney World!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Gaylord…read more I'm going to start this review by reminding myself things that I should know for next time. One is to bring a beach volleyball or some sort of ball for the pool. They have basketball hoops, and there are so many kids that bring balls that if you have a child that likes sports and doesn't have a ball, they will be pretty disappointed. The resort does not supply balls, but you can buy one for $17. Whereas if you go to Walmart, they are $10 so just bring a ball with you. My older son loved the Flow Rider. You can sign up 24 hours ahead of time online to guarantee you a spot. There is a table that you can sign up day of, but spots do you get filled up because there are only six kids allowed in each group per session so that's a total of 12 people. We were able to snag a same-day spot of 10 AM and then he loved it so much we went back for a 12 PM spot. The earlier you are there, the fewer kids that are signed up, so you get more turns if you sign up for an earlier spot. As long as you get to the pool early enough, you do not have to pay for seating. I love that there is an umbrella above most chairs. On Friday we got to the pool at about 2 PM and there were tons of seats. On Saturday we got there about 10:30 AM and there were enough seats that we were able to find one under an umbrella, but about 15 minutes later I saw families struggling to find shaded seats. On Sunday at about 9:30 am there were a moderate amount of seats open that were shaded, but by about 10 AM people were struggling. So if you're planning to get there around 11, maybe noon, you might want to go ahead and reserve seating. If there is a light show, it is worth getting a room on a higher floor in the main atrium. They had the blooming light show and my kids actually really enjoyed it. It is at 9 PM so that was a little late for my young ones, but we were able to sit on the balcony and watch it. I realized if we had a lower room we wouldn't have been able to see it as well, so ninth floor main atrium is definitely the way to go. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, I remember last time thinking they were a bit outdated, but they went through a full renovation, January 2025 and now they were absolutely gorgeous. I loved our room and I love the decor. We also ate at old Hickory steakhouse so I will leave my review there and I checked out the spa so I'll leave my review there. The kids love the arcade, and there are quite a few trinkets that they could win. It was a great after dinner activity. I love all the flowers they plant during the spring, they are beautiful backdrops for pictures. I highly recommend checking out all of the flowers. I was surprised that there were so few cars in the parking garage, I love that I could keep the car shaded, in the parking garage is on the side of the hotel that has the big ship, so if you're planning to go to your car a lot, it's worth getting a room closer to that side. Everyone we interacted with was so nice and we had the best stay here.

So yeah, it's not a brand spanking new hotel, but it's also not looking run down either, which I guess means they're doing a nice job maintaining the place. We stayed in a presidential suite which we booked directly with a time share owner online. The suite itself was very pleasant as expected, the finishing touches and furnishings were of good quality and the beds were comfortable. There was some light wear and tear here and there, but overall it was a very nice suite to stay in. Very functional and comfortable. We didn't use very many of the property amenities this time around because we spent so much time in the amusement parks, but there are a bunch of options including mini golf, pools, BBQ area, restaurants and more. As I mentioned in previous reviews, this property is located amazingly close to all of the Disney parks, which is great. The only downside I can think of was the fact that our suite was facing the parking lot and a power facility of some kind, right next to the building. This thing was making nonstop noise 24/7, making it impossible to enjoy the balcony. That really sucked. Luckily it wasn't audible in the room, but we did want to eat and have coffee on the balcony throughout our stay, and the noise made it very unpleasant. Overall I would give Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek 3.5 stars. While I would never purchase a time share, I could definitely see myself staying here again if we were thinking about visiting Orlando.

Tubs and sinks needed detailed cleaning. The drier vent was thick with lint. The pools: 1/5, crowded, no seats after 11am. Grab a rock behind the bushes for additional seats. No maintenance nor PR staff presence. Parking: 3/5. Limited front parking. Additional parking located in cramped structure, a 5 minute walk to room. The front desk and cleaning ladies in the hallways, 4/5: sweet, responsive. Prompt with fulfilling toiletries and kitchen supplies. This is the only highlight. Eats: 3/5 pizza, tacos, Starbucks, ice-cream. Free scope birthday ice-cream. Farmers Market Thursday: 0/5, only has 4 stands. Kettle corn & fried pork rinds, jewelry, table with scattered bell peppers, booze. It's a nice stay. The view, if you're lucky to get the lake view room, is worth the stay. But the amenities and overall services do not match the sales pitch for this location. This was our second year here. Won't be back.

Overall, we really enjoy the amenities, it's a great setup and something we value having so close to home. However, our most recent visit was disappointing. We were required to pay for our pass, and my husband ended up standing at the front desk for about 20 minutes because the staff member kept assisting other guests instead of completing his transaction. That was frustrating and could have been handled much more efficiently. More concerning is the lack of enforcement of safety guidelines. While some lifeguards at the slides are attentive and doing a great job, others appear distracted--on their phones or wearing headphones--and not ensuring the area is clear before the next person goes down. We've also seen ongoing issues, including children throwing rocks into the waters from the landscaping, spilling drinks in the pools, roughhousing, and tossing balls. On one occasion, a guest even had a dog in a float in the lazy river. Staff stated it was an emotional support animal, but regardless, this raises concerns about cleanliness and overall pool safety. We understand that many guests are on vacation and enjoying themselves, but for residents who pay a significant amount to access these amenities, there should be a higher level of consistency and professionalism from staff. With better supervision and enforcement of rules, this could be an even more enjoyable experience for everyone.
